what makes their heart warm?

Dazai isn't someone who easily trusts people, that's for sure. The only way to get to his heart is consistency and being genuine.
It starts with noticing how he doesn't eat much, and you heard him mention how he likes canned crab. So you got him just that one day, and left it on his desk. He'd figure out who it's from easily, I mean, it's Dazai we're talking about. When he needs something, you'll be there. You respond to texts and calls on time, and get him thoughtful things from time to time. Not to say that you aren't firm with him. He's gotta do his work, he's gotta fill his share. Over time, you'll get to him- without a doubt. It'll take an ungodly amount of patience to get through with everything, but so long as you're both together in the end, that's okay.
Atsushi is precious, but that's obvious! Little things from the people he cares about make him so, so happy. You helped him finish some documents? RWIJBSWEWSILDEM. You made him lunch? YOU'RE TOO KIND! Every little thing people do for him makes him feel warm inside. Just knowing people care for him and will take time out of their schedule to do something for him makes him unimaginably happy. Still, sometimes you have to reassure him that he isn't a burden because you did that. You're doing this because you care about him, not because he's being any sort of a burden to you. You want to do that, especially because he isn't a burden at all. (Potentially just makes him cry more but it's happy tears, I swear)
Verlaine is not open to affection at first. Still, patience is a virtue, and you'll stick through it to pry open his heart a little. It starts with spending some time together, getting to know each other from an arm's length. You get to know him at least a little, and you see what you can do from their. He's fascinating, so of course you want to learn more. So you do, and since you know how to keep a promise, he tells you a little more. Next time you come, you think of a gift he'd like. It's a journal, so when you're not there to talk with him, he can at least empty his innermost thoughts onto the page. You dare not read it, it's not yours to read. It's a long time later when he tells you about his so-called lack of humanity. You laugh in the face of his bullshit- he's never been any less than human to you. Since he seemed to like using the diary, you come around more so he can have someone to talk to face-to-face. And so comes a dynasty of trust and late-night confessions.

The moment you heard Kyoka some of Kyoka's likes and dislikes, you knew exactly what to do. Some days a little rabbit plush would appear on her desk when she had a bad day, other times a plate of tofu when she forgot to eat lunch. You would chat with her on missions every once in a while. You looked out for her instead of looking to use her, so she returned the sentiment. She figured out who was doing the gifts so she began to do the same with you, so it was mutually helping each other out through without actually saying a word about who was doing it with the other. You two never even talked about the gifts, even though you two talked all the time with each other. You acted like siblings, which does entail talking about dumb things and doing even dumber competitions, but that's only to get each other's minds off of bad days. Just caring for her when she's vulnerable is heartwarming.

Probably not. He'd want to remember you by your name alone; he could recognize it anywhere and it only belonged to you.
He'd call you all sorts of things, but he'd certainly remember you by your name, or maybe a nickname if he thought your name wasn't fitting enough. Regardless, he'd never forget it.
Poe could call you every positive adjective in the dictionary and more. He'd write a poem every time he thought about you (which is almost every waking moment... anyways. He's down bad, but he prefers uncommon words that sound gorgeous (not quite on your level, nothing is according to him, (no word is on a higher level than your own name, but sometimes he doesn't feel worthy to use it) but I digress).
Ranpo will use pet names when he feels like it. Sometimes he'll call you his angel, precious, everything, or times you're just idiot or your own name. The best days are when he shares his candy with you, not when he's calling you angel so you can get his candy.
Chuuya prefers doll, or names to show how precious you are to him. Words aren't his thing so much, but if you need him to tell you how gorgeous (YOU ARE) he thinks you are, then he'll reassure you of how beautiful you are to him however many times you need.

You have a lion ability [ you're already dating ]. Verlaine isn't afraid of you at all, he really thinks your ability makes you a big kitty. When he's in a soft mood, he'll certainly treat you as such.
When I tell you he'd buy you anything you'd like: custom headphones, cat toys, all the food you could ever want, well- heh. He's a generous guy with those who he trusts. He never calls you a big kitty, however. Calling you anything but a human would make him inhuman, and he feels a little more like you when you're together.
Ozaki adores your raccoon form. Shoulder rides, sneaking around, the only thing she has the heart to scold you for is when it comes to eating trash you stinky panda (affectionately (you bathe together)). She will not hesitate to scoop you up at any given moment and not let you go for the forseeable future. Once you've wormed your way into her heart, she won't let go. Still, she is afraid of getting hurt. More afraid than being hurt herself is YOU being injured, so she will not let any harm come to you, even though she indulges your adventurous and sneaky side.
You're a bunny, obviously. She was ecstatic at the idea of ever being a big sister, let alone taking care of a rabbit. Kyouka can't say no to you, and is fairly confident that she can and will protect you from all harm. She follows you around, which is the least she can do to protect you, as your big sister. She tries to not be as overprotective as Koyo, but sometimes she'll be violent with those who threaten you and so it's your job to keep her as her usual self. Normally, she'll just watch you and play with you (quality time is a favorite of hers), but she also enjoys going to restaurants and eating with you.

I still have a request to finish but I need to write about this... I am in love... lyric from "The Bolter" by taylor swift in the title. I hereby present how verlaine is whipped, smitten, and down horrendously bad.
verlaine who makes sure the vase in your shared apartment always has fresh flowers of whatever you would like. in the case that you do not have time to tell him your preferences, he will buy what he thinks you will like or a bouquet of something romantic. on anniversaries, there will always be irises, chrysanthemums, daisies, and alstroemeria. verlaine who always looks his best. he cannot bear the thought of being a dirty, ugly smudge in your vision. the apartment must also be clean for you. he wants to please you, including visually. if something looks ugly to you, he will try to ensure you do not come across it again. if you do not like all this, he will easily respond and try to change for you, but you are not often too much of a fan of how far he will go for you. verlaine who would get down on his knees and beg you to stay if he ever cheated. he would stay at your door for however long it took, he could never live a life without you. he also feels the need to be near you whenever possible, he needs to know that you're okay, he needs to know that he can be there to protect you. he would starve before he let you slip out of reach from his stained hands. it is only natural for mortals to crave the touch of the heavenly. verlaine who keeps you with him whenever possible. he will curse himself endlessly if he lets you get injured. if you're in the port mafia, he will even do extra work if it means he can accompany you on missions to ensure you're okay. your security means so much to him. verlaine who takes even the silliest questions of yours seriously. of course, he would still love you if you were a worm, he praises and loves you, his god, in all your forms. if you asked for a snack, he would ask you to accompany him to the grocery store and he would purchase it in bulk immediately. if you were lazy, he would even carry you like a princess.
I'm back from a trip (it sucked!! let's not discuss the details) and here is a post to celebrate me being back (I was gone for like two-ish days I just need an excuse to post about my pookie bear verlaine <333)
Thinking about how Chuuya's father-son relationship with Adam plays into the metaphor of 'Child of Adam, which inadvertently proves his humanity and presents the Abel and Cain dynamic with Verlaine. Abel being the younger brother and a shepherd, (King of The Sheep) and them both giving offerings to God (Guivre and Arahabaki), but God only favoring one of them (Chuuya being able to in-part accept his humanity), and Cain killing him in response (Verlaine stripping Chuuya of his loved ones.) It also drives the point home when you think about the fact that Verlaine's kill signature is a white cross made of birch.
Being a fic writer is fun, because you can plan out the most devastating and gut wrenching scenes possible. But it's also fun because your notes look like this and none of it is serious.
Galvanism
After absolute months of planning, I'm so happy to announce that my Rimlaine fic, "Galvanism" is finally up with it's first chapter released to Ao3!!!
Galvanism is a narrative-driven, slow burn story revolving around one of Rimlaine's dispatch missions before the events of Bungo Stray Dogs or Suribachi city. It has!:
An original-character-based supporting cast based on real authors, using some of my favorite authors like John Milton and Dante Alighieri and their works to shape their unique abilities
RELIGIOUS THEMES!!! Using a cathedral as a base of operations, the antagonist organization of Galvanism, Paradiso, is comprised of various authors of religious backgrounds and aesthetics.
A long-form plot planned since November of last year (please help)
Various metaphors for Rimlaine's relationship, as well as exploration of BOTH character's issues and struggles with themselves and their environment.
A LOT of love put into it <3.
