Maya spins illusions, vast and bright,

Vishnu’s hand guides through endless dreams.
Vaikunth appears, a paradise untold,
Yet slips like sand as maya takes hold.
In Vishnu's sleep, truth and illusion blend—

𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗵𝗺𝗮: *looks at Indra shooting his thunder bolts on random objects. Vayu yelling at him to stop. Rudra making the clouds roar loudly to scare mortals. Shiva meditating between this chaos. Vishnu staring at him with disbelief. Surya and Chandra quarreling on who's more popular. Varun and Agni, too quarreling on who's the best element. Yama threatening everyone that he is gonna commit homicide*

The fact that I actually changed Quetz's hair specifically for this one piece 😂 Used to be these two/three feathers in the round feather shape just sprouting from his head but I was like "Nah this boi is going dripped out for his date" So I changed it and I imagine him going
"MY HAIR LOOKS STUPID"
and Tez is like "Your hair always looks stupid! This is just less stupid!"
"...Was that a compliment???"
"Perhaps."
"shitshitshit is shesh going to like me with this hair"
"...I would say your hair is the least of your problems."
"SHIT"
"Holy fuck man, stop freaking out so much, I was kidding!!"
When you're preparing for a date and your brother is making you feel better and worse at the same time:

Probably sent this ask hoping for one or two headcanons, but too bad. You're getting a speech.
-So, they first met while trying to set up Shesh and Quetz. Tez didn't know anything about the Hindu pantheon and vice versa with Vishnu, and they both just heard someone they hang out with a lot (in Tez's case, his brother) say "So I met this cute guy" and Vishnu probably went "Cool, you need any help with that?" And Tez went "Oh fuck no, you can't date to save your life here I'll set you up".
-When they met, each with no knowledge on the other's pantheons, I imagine their conversation to be like this: "My brother is such an idiot." "I'm sure he's not that bad, my friend likes him a lot." "Maybe his flirting won't go to waste if my brother actually UNDERSTANDS that he's being flirted with."
-After they met, they clicked pretty quickly, they started off trying to make their respective friend/brother (in Tez's case) realize the other's clear feelings, but then they started just hanging out.
so here are some hcs on their relationship after then, because I don't want to bore you with backstory
-Vishnu is the "If someone hurts you I'll heal you" type and Tez is the "If someone hurts you I'll kill them" type. They compliment each other well.
-Tez is a master at UNO. He taught Vishnu how to play, and they often just play UNO if there's no other pastime.
-They watch murder mystery TV shows. Tez can determine the murderer in about .5 seconds except he doesn't know why and Vishnu can explain to him in a TED talk exactly why the murderer is the murderer and how to catch him/her.
-They both love Disney movies, surprisingly.
-Like Shesh and Quetz, they also like to point out the historical inaccuracies in shows/movies.
-Tez can metabolize any kind of alcohol, although he rarely drinks. Based on previous hcs, Vishnu often prefers milk (despite being lactose intolerant. That's just lactose intolerant culture). They sometimes go to bars together just because one of them want to try it out gain.
-Tezcatlipoca has like 60 cats. Wild cats, house cats, etc. Vishnu comes over just for his cats.
-Vishnu is overall more successful in getting Shesh to admit his feelings, although the two of them have a little friendly competition over who can get the other to stop being more dense. The current bet is up to 200 dollars.
Anyway, that's all for now, sorry it wasn't neat and kinda rambley but I do have a LOT of thoughts on these characters!

Enjoy some work of both Vishnu and Vexrin from before they worked for Arasaka Intel.
Vishnu was in he army multiple times before he ends up becoming a Black ops member. He joys ad a way to try and do more and to help raise is son.
Vexrin joys up for Special Intel and gets pared up with Vishnu as his partner. They have both been thought quite alot together. Vexrin is originally there for an apprenticeship under Arthur Jenkins, and so he can afford to get top surgery.
When Vexrin transfers to Arasaka Intel Vishnu follows suit. They still work together even if they aren't on the battle field together.
Kind of revisiting an old thought here for a bit, because it’s struck me once again how intense and unfathomable Vishnu’s love for Lakshmi really is; even if their relationship is occasionally fucked.

She was every bit as strong as Śri Ram, something that was established in the Swayamvar itself. Just because she did not pick up a weapon, does not mean she was not capable of it either.

This books says the the future is fixed but if you read or watch the Mahabharata you’ll see that it’s not. Destiny just knew what choice people will make no matter what. Why else would god (Krishna aka Vishnu himself) would try to change the Kuruavas mind, many times? If the Kuruavas were the prisoners of their own destiny then they wouldn’t have been considered villains.
Everyone has a choice and gods can only guide you/tell what the right path is, in the end you have to make the choice to follow it. Vishnu only reincarnates when Earth and Dharma is in trouble, and humans can’t save it.
At least that’s what I believe
The fate of people like Rama and Krishna are fixed because they were put on earth for a specific reason but normal humans future are up to our choices. Gods can’t changed that, they can only hope to lead us in the right way.
The gods do know what happens in the future but they can’t do anything because those are our choices.
