I need pt 2
ok so like i had the idea for this comic with some backstory ideas too awhile back AND THEN THE AMA HAPPENED and when bill answered theΒ βdo you have any family?β withΒ βnot anymoreβ i was like THIS IS HAPPENING and so there ya go angst ville ft. my human bill and wormwood ahaha
After reading the "To Grow a heart", my brain interpreted one of the actions as a hug, which made me several times sadder.
Winter. WX-78 is used to living with Wormwood in the same tent, and is almost not angry with them.
Wormwood complains of cold and weakness. And like any other plant in winter, it tends to sleep at times. WX reluctantly inserts one of the schemes into himself, and lies down next to the drooping plant. Wormwood hugs the robot, rubs his cheek against the warm metal heated by the thermal circuit, and yawns.
"Thank you, robo-friend~"

In the morning, Winona finds them both asleep. She smiles sweetly, watching what is happening, but did not wake any of them.
WX-78 hugged Wormwood in a "dream", and from inside the case came a quiet melody of the chorusbox circuit.
I can't stop thinking that WX-78 ran away after the events in their animatics. Winona (and Wormwood, worried that he had followed her) went to look for them. They found the WX-78 somewhere near the seashore. Winona took their hand while Wormwood hugged the robot tightly.
Consolation, apologies, comfort.
"Hey plant, what are you looking at like that?"
Art trade with @waokevale
The idea is that WX-78 fell into the lake with the property of the "fountain of life", which returned them to the appearance of Woodrow. And Wormwood's reaction to this metamorphosis.

It all started with my wxwood art on this song. Then I imagined Winona in Garnet's place. And here we are with you.
Fumble / Dance
That's the only thing I can give here.
The Department of Ents warns that cutting down and burning a huge number of trees is bad.
I accidentally made the WX-78 too intimidating.
Bonus:
Nutcracker AU
(not planned as AU, but I remembered about the art trade, and a little dispersed a couple of thoughts on this score)
Once upon a time, two powerful forces filled our air. Shadows and Gestalts continuously divided this world among themselves, until one day an innocent child fell to the ground, bringing with it the forces of shadows and light.
I think that creatures who use Shadows as a force eventually become cursed. And only those who have the power of Gestalts can lift the curse. However, there is one thing: after removing the curse, creatures with the power of Gestalt die.
Maxwell turned into a rat, and kidnapped Wormwood, and then Charlie. He needs Wormwood to break the curse. Wagstaff cast his shadow curse on Woodrow, thereby they became the WX Nutcracker. And then he got rid of them, for which he paid with his life.
The Nutcracker has neither the power of shadows nor the power of gestalts (despite the fact that their cane can become a sword). They're just cursed, and they don't want to remove the curse. Wormwood couldn't die, but he fell to the ground and regained his physical form. And Maxwell and Charlie were childhood friends, just because of the appearance of a rat, she can't recognize him, and pushes him away in every possible way.
Wormwood can remove the curse from the WX-78. But they push him away and protest because they don't want Wormwood to die because of some piece of a log with teeth.
But they are ready to stay with him, and protect him for as long as it takes and until the very end.
