okay I have a question for the Aru Shah Fans, which Aru Shah characters would be characters from “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off”
I finished the movie. My heart hurts. I knew it was going to happen. I wasn’t prepared.
\•-•/ more spoilers for Guardians of the Galaxy 3, consider yourself warned \•-•/
It just- it was literally so good. I could talk for hours about everything I liked. I could talk for maybe a minute about what I didn’t. It was seriously amazing.
First of all- Rockets backstory. Literally- it was amazingly well developed, it was incredibly dark and soul crushing, it helped the plot, it seriously made everything come together. I kind of wish that the High Evolutionary or whatever his name was wasn’t just- let go??? Like I know it was an exploding ship, but it would’ve been interesting to see Rocket get vengeance. I get why they didn’t do that though, and I did really like that he was kind of like- the bigger person? He didn’t need revenge for his past, he just wanted to protect his future- and also the future of all the other animals, too…
Another thing I loved- the raccoons. When Rocket opened the cage with the raccoons and found out that he was a raccoon…and then he introduced himself as Rocket Raccoon…that made me so happy- because like he didn’t know what he was, and he didn’t want people calling him a raccoon or a dog or any of that because he didn’t know what exactly he was and then- and then he got to find out…it makes me so happy to see his character development throughout the movies, honestly.
Everything else was good too, but I just really like how they expanded on Rocket and his backstory, and how well they did it. Like seriously- they could have said “unethical experimentation, the end” but they didn’t…they said “unethical experimentation” but then made it seem like the High Evolutionary actually…cared about him??? And then they foreshadowed, they put in clues and details so small that you didn’t even notice them, and when you realized what was going on it was too late. I loved this so much because even though it was one of those “trust no one” situations, you didn’t really notice it. It’s like- maybe you were expecting it, but it’s still so detailed. Like in the part where little Rocket was exited about seeing the sky and High Evo. had a hand on his jaw, it was too tight. Rocket didn’t look very comfortable, and even without that- the High Evo.’s words, the way he said things, it was all super sketchy-
Also on a different note, I seriously liked how Drax got his own character development. In the first movie, he seemed really tough, like a cold ball of nothingness wrapped up in muscles. But then he started to bond with the team, and he started to soften up a bit and find a family with them. And now- I cried a little bit when he started goofing of to make the kids calm down. It was just…it made me happy.
Ok this was literally just a really long way to say that I love Guardians of the Galaxy 3, and that it is probably my favorite out of all of them. Everything was just- amazing.
Ok bye, have a good day/night/whatever :]
