You're Just Mad We Found Ourselves And Found One Another - Tumblr Posts
It's so painful to imagine living my whole life and never having a word to describe who I am, never knowing if I was the weird one, or wrong for being the way I am.
And even if it's so late in life, I'm so happy that this connection can be made now. That we have the ability to help people better understand themselves, regardless of age.
Even if it's something that's often scary to bring up to those who are older (not as likely to be open-minded), it's so, so important to do it FOR them. Sometimes, among those who are straight and cis-gender are people who just haven't found the Word yet. Who don't know how to say what they feel, or are scared to.
And maybe we were a bit close minded, for not being more open with them about it. Reaching out to help the older generation discover themselves, too.
I want old aros so badly. I want a history. I want a future. I want tales of lives that I understand. I want to see myself in a future where I’m happy and comfortable.
But I don’t have that, so I’ll have to build it.
