♡ OK, I may be the only one complaining about this, but what about Satan's representative animal? It is the unicorn, because I have never seen any type of sign either on their clothing or in their events or in anything that represents the unicorn. There are more cats than unicorns. To this day, I wonder why the representative animal of this type is the unicorn????

Okay. I've stayed inactive for too long so here are my personal (keyword : personal) thoughts on different obey me characters starting with the brothers (in this order) ->

Lucifer and Mammon || Leviathan and Satan || Asmodeus, Beelzebub and Belphegor

Lucifer

• My second favorite

I really like his design and personality (Except for the red themed part of his design I feel like it doesn't make sense but I've talked about it in my Lucifer redesign post so go check it out <3 )

I often find his reactions and his way of thinking interesting but what I like the most about him is that tired pathetic overworked single father energy he has going on.

What I do dislike about him is that the game pushes the ''sadistic'' side of his character way to much in his relationship with his brothers. Like. What? Why??!

I understand that his sadistic side can be attractive if aimed towards the player, but his brothers??

We know for a fact that he's overprotective of his brothers and that he may act very strict but loves them unconditionally. So : why the fuck does the game highlight the ''sadistic heartless older brother that bullies his siblings thought weird punishments for any mistake that they make'' trope, like it's the direct opposite of Lucifer's intention...

Plus tying his brothers up feels extremely wrong and is weirdly suggestive?

So yeah. But other than that I just want to make him a coffee and give his a soft kiss on his forehead :)

Mammon

• I have mixed feelings about him

First of all, I LOVE his design. Dark skin + white hair as always been an amazing combination, he does not disappoint.

What I have mixed feelings about is his tsundere side. On one hand, it's pretty fucking adorable. Blushing pathetic men are amazing. Though once again, the game pushes that side of him far to much in my opinion like okay it's cute I agree but that's not the only interesting part of his personality pls give us other sides of him like yeah cool you ''don't even care if I get hurt or anything'' but I'm just here trying to stop your brothers from killing each other can you help please? Also the fact that his brothers always insult him is just there to be there cuz we know it hurts is feeling but we can't do anything about it other than insult him too or try to confort him like pls let me slap his siblings when they do that or give us a way to make it stop it's pissing me off.

They also don't make him show any remorse about his greed which feels very odd to me, like at the very least make him realize his mistakes or at least acknowledge the problems he caused. The idea that he can't stop himself from making the same mistakes over and over again because of his sin is good but make him a bit more self aware of it like he's not THAT dumb and I feel lile he does care. (especially when his mistakes ends up bothering and/or pissing off his brothers).

In conclusion, We know he has the biggest crush on us but don't make it his whole personality please, there's other very interesting parts of him that I didn't find explored anywhere and it's pretty disappointing.

I'm mostly going to talk about belphie today!

But first here's the art :

START OF MY RAMBLING

Belphie is surprisingly one of the characters I like the least out of all of them

(would you be interested in a tier-list kinda thing to know if your options are similar to mine? I try to make content for everyone but obviously my favs are getting a bit more content I can't help it)

I was a firm belphie hater when I started the game because dude just lied to us and then proceeded to kill us and I really thought the game would promote that ''I'm dating the bad boy that insults and hurts me so I'm so cool'' kinda vibe (which is an horrifically toxic kind of trope/relationship, don't let the people you love hurt you)

When he got that ''redemption'' thingy I was real mad at it because it didn't make sense. I mean, he hates humans but just because we're his sister's grand-grand...grand-child suddenly he's cool with us and any human in the world like-

I think he deserved a redemption arc that made more sense like for example, Diavolo could still have put him in jail for a moment and our mc would go visit him so they can have discussions and he could slowly warm up to humans, it would have also gave more time to get the brother's reaction to belphie not actually being in the humain world, because we did get to see that they were shocked but I don't remember it being actually discussed with mc.

Now that I'm way further in both the og and nb games I think he's pretty sweet and I also love is malicious side when he and satan come up with dumb plans to annoy Lucifer

I just think that the way he was introduced was really creative but not handled well

And don't get me started on the time travel thing I will physically explode.

Now let's talk about my redesign!

So, you can't see it here but I made his skin a bit darker (I don't have a reason to do so, I just think it fits him well) I also gave him piercings (septum, labret and a single earing on his right ear) some freckles (beel will have some too) and a scar on his right eye:

I always thought that except for more diversity in the brothers appearance, his bangs had no reason to be. I also headcanon that even if Beelzebub protected him during war, he didn't left the battle unwounded, so that's why I chose to give him a scar (he can't see with his right eye anymore) he mostly covers it so people stop staring at it. He hates it because it's a reminder of loosing his sister for him. (Yippie! angst!🦀)

But yeah that's pretty much it! At least for now

Are you... a Dialuci shipper?

As much as I find this ship adorable, I don't feel like og!Lucifer would let it happen, because he would be scared of being even more vulnerable to Diavolo.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think that Diavolo is a bad guy and he doesn't either, but Lucifer has this bad tendency to keep huge secrets from his loved ones and I think he'd be too scared to spill his secrets by accident by getting to close to the people that have technically influence/power over him.

(For exemple, in the og game he locked out belphie to protect him from Diavolo in a way and he couldn't have kept it a secret if they were even closer)

I feel like Lucifer does feel affection or has felt affection towards Diavolo, but doesn't/didn't allow himself to indulge in them

With that said, Diavolo totally has a crush on him lmao

No, my lucifer doesn't mew at all time, I just drew him doing it by accident and thought it was funny. He does have a very angular jaw tho :)

As for Diavolo, here's my first try, dunno if I'll change other things about his design yet but the dimples are going to stay no matter what. I love the idea of him having dimples I swear it's adorable

Hello (again)! My name is Onyx and I'm an artist with too much free time and a lack of sense of priority which unables me to draw important stuff for my personal projects and makes me create or redesign silly little characters instead :)

Today, I wanted to explain how I view devildom's hierarchy and what makes certain demons more ''powerful'' than others

START OF MY RAMBLING !

First of all, in this rewrite, the royal family is still the head of the devildom. They own and control the lands as well as assure the demons living there's well being, but it's not a monarchy, as in, they don't have the power to do anything they want.

When the og! game's MC arrives, Diavolo and his father are the only royal's left (even tho daddy's too busy sleeping to care about his kingdom and his son)

But the fact that they own the kingdom does not mean that they're the strongest demons there, in fact there's several demons that could be a big threat for them, which is why sharing the powers that come with being the ''main'' ruler is very important to the royal family as it ''protects'' them from harm (it's like a political agreement, don't ask me how it exactly works I'm far from being an expert. I'm just a little dude with a lot of imagination.)

Basically, here's a little chart to explain how power is distributed (the main things, not everything) (from most to least powerful):

1)

The devildom's king is sleeping so Diavolo temporarily has his powers as well as his duties

Privileges:

-Can use the devildom's funds for whatever he thinks is a good thing for the kingdom/demons, for example, the RAD (BUT: at least half of the dukes have to agree with the project for it to happen)

-The devildom's inhabitants technically have to follow his every orders ( Some exceptions can apply)

Obligations:

-Ensure the citizen's safety and wellbeing

-Organise all of the devildom's celebrations/events

- If there's a war or a conflict, has to ensure the citizens safety but doesn't control the devildom's army himself (He can give orders but someone else decides if the army will follow him or not, the army is only obligated to protect the citizens, they decide if they attack or not basically)

2)

The dukes : they each control a part of the devildom's economy and use it in one sector each (i don't want to decide how many they are but like, there's one that ensure the food stocks, one for the healthcare, one for the entertainment... That kind of things)

As previously stated, if Diavolo starts a big project thats going to cost a lot, they'll have a meeting to talk about it and vote if they agree or not, Diavolo has to get at least half of them to agree to actually start the project

3)

The avatars (our babygirls)

Each of them basically controls one of the ring of hell according to their sin (the lowest ring is Belphie's, the reborn demons have to got through all of them to get to the devildom, see it at climbing a big moutain of suffering before getting to the long waited rest)

Also demons that commit a crime (or multiple) can go back to the rings as punishment, starting at a different height depending on the intensity of the crime

In extreme cases, some demons are doomed to stay there forever

4)

The army (Levi plays a big part in there but we'll talk about it when I'll redesign him)

5)

The newspaper club (surprising, I know, but they're actually so infuencial that they became extremely powerful)

Now, as for the demons themselves, they're different kinds of demons! (Mainly 3)

1) The reborns are the least ''threatening'' kind : they're basically humans/demons that passed and came back because of their sins, they all go to RAD at least the first time they're reborn so they technically all know about ''regular'' magic but its extremely rare that they get a connection to an element. They usually then get assigned to a job and have to work until they pass (which is usually a long time)

2)Then we have the hellborns, they're regular demons but that were created and born in the devildom. Same as the reborns, they go to RAD, then they can either start a working life or stay at the academy for as long as they'd like. As they didn't ask to be born here and technically did nothing wrong, they have full freedom over their life and aren't assigned to a specific job or anything (they still have to follow the rules and are punished if they do bad things)

3)And finally, we have the fallen angels! Even tho it's extremely rare for an angel to fall, it still happens and the brothers aren't the only one. They also have to go to RAD to learn the devildom's ways even tho they already know ''regular'' magic. It's extremely rare that they DON'T have a connection to an element. They don't have to go through the rings of hell since falling from heaven is already a huge punishment.

As for the redesign.... here's Lucifer!!

I know, I know, I took a lot of liberties and it's difficult to see him as the same character as the og!Lucifer, but hear me out:

WHY. IS. HE. RED. IN. THE. FIRST. PLACE.

Because red is a ''menacing'' color?? Why does he have red eyes to begin with, he's an angel!!? They all have designs more or less related to their sin BUT PRIDE IS IN BLUE??? AND EVEN IF IT WAS BECAUSE HE DENIES THE FACT THAT HE'S A SINNER, RED ISN'T BLUE'S OPPOSITE!!!!!

I'm okay.

BUT WHY.

ABOUT THIS REDESIGN

As stated on the drawing, Lucifer is bound to light and wind, although his connection to wind is pretty recent and is due to him refusing to use his fire powers since the fall. His connection with fire was becoming so thin that another element connected itself to him : wind. So he's basically one of the first person in the three world bound to more than two elements, even if he refuses to use one of them.

As for ''regular'' magic, he's especially skilled at counterspells and unbinding curses/hexes (probably mainly due to his siblings's fuckery) but also excels at most types of offensive spells.

He also makes sure to always wear blue in public but rarely wears it in private, I think that wearing blue reminds him of his duties and image as an avatar and that not wearing it makes him feel way more comfortable (that's why he doesn't in the comfort of his house or with his close friends)

So as the title says, I'm redesigning some of the om! characters as well as changing up the world they live in. As for the first redesign I chose (very self indulged choice ) to start with Satan :)

This isn't really an AU but just me ''fixing'' (changing) things that I (emphasis on the I, this is MY opinion, you don't have to agree with me) dislike about the game's world and/or characters. I also added things that were, yes, absolutely unnecessary, but so fucking cool 😎

So, in my vision of obey me, all demons have access to magic (curses, hexes, potions...) but some demons also have a connection with one to two elemental powers (water, fire, wind...)

The ''regular'' magic as well as basic knowledge of the devildom fonctionnement and history is taught to young demons (just born/reborn demons and fallen angels *wink wonk) at RAD (which explain why the heck some litteral ADULTS that could easily have a balanced working life are still in an HIGH SCHOOL environment.) (I know that adults can go to school, no problem with that lmao, but lucifer or satan in the og! game for example have nothing to learn there anymore and could be having a ''regular'' active life like-)

But yes, the academy's objective isn't really to ''tame'' demons, because they can't change their very nature and the idea that a demon (Diavolo) is working on turning other demons into more ''human'' beings seems really fucking off to me

And the human exchange program was supposed to be more of a ''exchange of culture'' kind of things where humans would learn about demon's ways and vice versa, it wasn't as diplomatic as it was in the game. See it as these ''special week'' thingy in school we're you'd learn about other cultures and try different country's dishes everyday. Exept it's for a full year. And in hell.

ABOUT THIS REDESIGN

Soooo my Satan is connected to earth and shadows and is an expert in curses and potions as well as devildom's history which is one of his favorite subjects along with the optional Art and litterature classes. (there's multiple optional classes that are supposed to help students that can't keep up or have bad grades to balance their grades by just showing up and listening, for exemple, mammon sometimes goes to the optional business and trading classes. )

In the og! game, satan is supposed to be lucifer's opposite, but I felt like it was mostly showed with his design and wanted to make it go a little further by making them dress in a more androgynous way and changing a bit his personality, making him a bit more carefree. (he's still super self conscious about his dangerous changes of temper which makes him a very closed and silent person, he's also still introverted, but when I say carefree I mean that he often skips classes to go check on cats or go read, and that they don't feel obligated to fulfill a role of exemple as a head student or avatar of wrath like lucifer does) I honestly just wanted the opposition between these two to be more marked but not necessarily have this ''competition'' between them because it felt very childish.

As for the elephant in the room, yes, he has hooves, no, there's no other reason than the fact that he doesn't have an animal theme like all of the others have. Yes, I only chose it because I find it cute. No, you may not pet them. Oh and as for the ''but why do they show up, aren't they supposed to have a human form'' I just decided that being gifted at everything is unrealistic, so I officially declare that Satan SUCKS AHH at maintaining his human form. He's not helped by the fact that he's constantly concentrating on staying calm and having a neutral facade and would saturate if they also had to concentrate on his physical form. But yeah he's still bad at it.
