You can literally have a joke about a teen girl fawning over another teen girl, and it’s woke Bc lord forbid we acknowledge gay people fucking exist. I fucking pray to the lord that one day, people will just fucking let go of the past and just accept the world for what it is instead of fighting for something that means absolute Jack shit. One day these people might possibly have a gay kid, or a trans kid, or a kid who simply is in love with someone who isn’t the same race as them or even religion as them. I fucking hope that’s the final straw for them to realize it’s not worth being so closed minded and reactionary. If it is not, then I’m praying for those kids. This needs to fucking change. I don’t get being so vitriolic towards a movie, or any piece of media for that matter, for harmlessly acknowledging that people different from you exist. That is a depressing life to live.
