Ember and Wade deserve a second movie.
I know it’s too early to really say this, especially with all the criticism it’s getting.

We've had some fun films come out this year, but there are still more to come. Let's hope they really do wind up being great!
(Also, is it just me, or is this year weirdly centered on bear-themed horror movies? We've already had Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey and Cocaine Bear, and now the FNAF movie is coming out in October. It's like how last year was strangely Pinocchio-centric.)

My friend called me this morning and just started off with no hello or anything.
"You know in Once Upon A Studio where every Disney character comes to life? Where are the Pixar characters?"
"It's just the disney characters, the Pixar characters are probably at Pixar studios."
"They're probably fighting for their life."
"Huh."
"The Pixar characters are in life threatening situations every second in some of their movies. They're probably fighting a monster or something."
"Go to sleep."

Watched Pixar's Elemental and it was super cute.
The story is pretty generic, but the relationship between Wade & Ember is sweet and carries quite a bit.
Also, genuinely surprised by the racism allegory in the film.

I just need to get this out there: This movie is great. My mom took me to see it on her birthday as a family outing and like ... Damn.
Movie looks amazing, it has a stable plot, its characters are lovable, its jokes are on point, and it makes you sob through relatability.
It isn't subtle in its immigration plotline, Wade and Ember's love feels natural and organic, side characters are memorable, and it ain't Zootopia 2.0 so bonus points.
This gets into spoiler territory, but like, when Ember said how she felt like she isn't a good daughter, bro that hits your soul. Don't even get me started on the Wade scene that makes you cry like a lil bitch.
Why am I saying this? Because watch it, marketing sucked for it. I suck at reviews.
