Also some funny thing I noticed lmao is just some similarities between recent animated movies I’ve noticed funnily enough. Spider-verse, tmnt, and ruby gillman have prom scenes. Puss in boots, tmnt and ruby gillman (and now even paw patrol it seems lmao) have villains that turn giant. Puss, paw patrol, spider-verse, ruby gillman, and elemental (to an extent) have characters going through panic attacks or episodes (although for ember it’s more just anger issues but it’s still triggered by pressure put on her thanks to stress from her job). A lot of them to an extent have a theme of red and blue characters in them (ember and Wade, Leo and raph, ruby and Chelsea, miguel and peters suit colors ig). Elemental, spider-verse, tmnt, and ruby gillman all have the main character do something that their parents are unaware of that they probably wouldn’t want them doing. The turtles, ruby and to an extent miles all give the main villains something that made them more powerful or dangerous (the trident and the last part of super flys machine, and miles mocking spot made him get mad enough to see just how powerful he really could be). If anyone has any funny coincidental similarities between recent movies or animated movies in general please let me know. This honestly is a pretty funny and neat thing to think about.

Some more ruby gillman incorrect quotes for y’all

Another thing that’d be neat as an idea, I just thought of this, Miles being jealous of the turtles and ruby for being able to be open with their parents about what they do/did. Not only that miles still has to hide his identity Bc his family will be in danger. Ruby and her mom have their powers, and the turtles don’t have to worry Bc they got a whole family of mutants who would body anyone who tried to mess with them. Something that would also be neat to see unfortunately, all of them would realistically be hunted by people to experiment on them for whatever ridiculous reasons they have.

This is especially why I’ll be disappointed if they don’t give this movie a series Bc I really hope they do 2d, I feel it could look great and do justice to the action packed moments and the slice of life moments.

Bit of a dumb question but if they ever made a ruby series would you prefer 2d or 3d animation? Personally, with how weird 3d dreamworks cartoons look Bc the budget for the animation obv can’t be as big as the movies, I’d prefer 2d. But something dynamic/fluid, think of possibly rise of the tmnt, primal, or possibly something akin to star vs the forces of evil, kick buttowski, randy Cunningham ninth grade ninja. Something that can feel natural with action packed scenes and slice of life scenes.

Honestly, I would have to go with 2D as well. It would fit the Gillmans and their world pretty well thanks to these animation tests that popped up.

I just looked back at the scene where the school students are asking each other out to prom in ruby gillman and HOLY SHIT, a lot of continuity errors and reused models in this lmao. They use the same pink haired girl FOUR times in the moving camera sequence.

On a side note tho I love that in the first image I think we got a boy proposing to another boy with the I’m a good catch one and obv the whale one has a girl proposing to another girl so heck yeah for wlw and mlm rep in the same scene. Also this isn’t me hating on the film I found the errors funny, nothing too serious.
