Honestly the worst part about it for me wasn't even all the angst that was happening but how very ooc it has rendered my depiction of Sam in my WIP where he turns Darlin' against their will. Like I can only exaggerate his desperation and fear of losing them so much yk?

Why is the image of Vincent Solaire sensually eating an orange while Sam disapprovingly/disappointedly shakes his head at him in my head right now?

So listener oc's and self-inserts am I right?

my greatest joy is imagining Hatsune Miku in place of the listener character in any series ever. the more morbid and/or story-driven the rp is the funnier it gets. some examples are: general yandere listener audios, anything by escaped audios (but especially slash and the basher), gba's magic of the heart with Hatsune Miku as the guardian. Honorary mention to yuurivoice's auron because god that man would either hate or love Hatsune Miku.

Author's Note : I've always liked the idea that if Sam and Darlin' were ever to have a conversation on whether Darlin' would ever be a vampire and live an eternal life with Sam; they'd decline.

Because I think that it'd make a nice resolution to the conflict that Alexis brings. I for one, love Alexis as a character. Her actions are cruel and unjustified, but she does have quite the tragic narrative in my opinion. Sam having to live a temporary life with Darlin' would show his difference in character and attitude towards love. Alexis once mentioned in the Monarchial Summit that she turned Sam because she wanted him, and I would like to see Sam experience that same "want" over someone but dealing with it in a different way; relishing his time with Darlin' instead of subjecting them to eternal life like Alexis did with him. It's a "breaking of a cycle" of sorts, I guess.

And that's also why I added Alexis in this comic, because I also want her to be the person witnessing this decision that Sam made and the grief he's had to live with as a result. Because I think she has the mindset that if you love someone, that you do whatever it takes to make them stay, while with Sam, he's willing to go through the grief and pain precisely BECAUSE he loves Darlin'.

Also the comet is Halley's comet, that passes by earth every 79 or so years!

Okay, so, obviously, because darlin is darlin, they're gonna be insecure about their skin starting to wrinkle.

Alexis's words really do start to get to them as they age, and Sam hasn't aged at all. Darlin' is terrified that Sam thinks they're gross but is too nice to say anything about it.

Meanwhile though, Sam is actually very insecure about him not aging, and is a kinda jealous of darlin'.

He thinks its amazing the way their skin starts to portray life. The lines on their face mark different journeys and shows they they've lived. But Sam feels like his skin looks like he hasn't lived, like he hasn't been able to experience that same joy that everyone else has. Which is why sometimes he'll just hold Darlin's face and start stroking their face with his thumb, subconsciously tracing the gorgeous wrinkles on their face.

Now if you wanna makes this extra angsty, you could say that Darlin' has delulued themselves so hard that they believe that Sam is stroking their face in memory in how their skin used to look, which effectively feeds into their insecurities ♡
