I lost my phone, can I have yours?

Summary: You accidentally took someone else’s phone when you left your class and that stranger took your phone. You manage to find a way to contact each other and meet to trade the phones.

Warnings: A few swear words, but nothing else.

"Oh shit" you mumbled and ran to catch the bus. You got in on time just before the door closed and you sighed in relief before looking around to hold on to something. Luckily, you didn't miss the bus and didn't have to wait for half an hour until the next one.  

A few stops later someone's phone started ringing and you flinched at the loud sound of a hip hop song you've never heard of before, but you guessed it belonged to someone out of those standing around you, since it was loud enough. However the phone kept ringing and everyone looked around, but no one made a move to reach into their pockets or their bags. Someone tapped your shoulder and cleared their throat and you turned around to look at them.

"I'm pretty sure this is your phone, Miss. Are you not going to pick it up or at least turn it off? It's getting a little annoying." The woman said and you widened your eyes. "But that's not my ringtone." you reasoned, but reached into your pocket to see a phone ringing. “That’s not my phone!” You thought, but didn’t dare to say out loud.

The phone stopped ringing and everyone sighed in relief, but at this point you were panicked. Whose phone could this be? You got off on your stop and walked home, wondering what to do with the phone. The contact that called was someone named "Felix", but they hadn't tried to call again and the phone was locked and had no emergency contacts.

You thought that someone must have gotten your phone and that you had gotten their phone accidentally. You tried to remember what the people sitting next to you in class looked like, but no matter how hard you tried you couldn't remember.

It was at least someone from your college and shared a class with you. But still, you knew no Felix so you had no idea whose phone it could be. Now, you could either wait until someone called this phone again or find someone to call your phone. Sadly your roommate wouldn't be home until late, because of her part time job, so you decided to go with the first option.

You were sitting in your living room with the phone on the coffee table, charging it so it wouldn't run out of battery and waiting for it to ring. Suddenly, an alarm started beating, sadly it wasn't a phone call and you sighed. Why would someone need an alarm at 8pm with the title "stop"? Maybe that person put am alarm to make sure they stopped studying? Or to stop procrastinating?

After turning off the alarm and 5 minutes later, you flinched at the loud sound of the ringtone you heard earlier today, coming from the phone. Someone was finally calling! The contact was the Felix guy again. You cleared your throat and picked up.

"Hello?"

"Oh thank god someone picked up." A heavy Australian accent was heard.

"Hi, is this Felix?" You asked.

"Um no, I'm the owner of the phone, Chris. I'm pretty sure we accidentally took each other's phones earlier today." he said and you sighed in relief.

"Yes. I'm (y/n) and I'd try to call you too, but my roommate isn't here so I couldn't. Did anyone call me?" You asked and heard a chuckle from the man.

"Yes, but I was so shocked that I didn't get to pick it up. It was someone named (y/f/n) though." He replied.

"That's my roommate and yeah this Felix guy called you too earlier today, but you probably know this. Anyways, um, is there any place you would like to meet up to get our phones back?"  You asked.

"Ah yes, um, it's Saturday tomorrow, so we don't have classes, but I can't wait until Monday to get my phone so if you are free, could we meet up first thing in the morning?" He suggested and you nodded though he couldn't see you, mentally face palming.

"Yeah, I'm free all day tomorrow."

"Okay, cool, we could meet up at this cafe near the entrance, I think it's called "Levanter" and get a coffee or a tea or something. O-or we could just get our phones back and go." he stammered and you laughed.

"I'd never say no to coffee." You replied and heard him quietly sigh in relief.

"Is 10:30 too early?" He asked.

"No, 10:30 is perfect." You replied and kept a mental note to ask your roommate to wake you up.

"Cool, see you tomorrow!" He said and excited and you said your goodbyes before hanging up.

The next day soon came, and you waited outside the cafe, without exactly knowing who you were waiting for. You saw a girl standing a little farther waiting for someone too, but you were pretty sure you spoke with a man named Chris yesterday, so you continued to look around.

A man approached her and you wished Chris would come soon, because you must have looked like an idiot waiting for this long. The man left after a minute and you looked at him confused as he continued looking around. Could that be Chris? He spotted you and shyly walked towards you.

"Excuse me, are you perhaps (y/n)?" You recognized the Australian accent and the voice and nodded.

"Thank god. I just asked someone else and they weren't you and it was so embarrassing" he said and sighed.

"It's okay, you found me now." You chuckled.

"By the way, I lost my phone, so can I have yours instead?" He blurted out the awful pick up line.  

"Oh no, you did not just say that" You chuckled but pulled out his phone from your pocket, handing it to him.

"Oh my god! My precious! Ugh, I've missed you so much, baby, don't ever leave me again." He said and you laughed loudly.

"Wow, it's so cool that you reunited with your baby, but can I reunite with my baby too?" You said and saw his eyes widening, leaving you confused.

"Oh no" He said and you cocked an eyebrow. "What?" You asked and he patted his pocket. "I don't have it" he said and you gasped.

"What do you mean you don't have it?" You screeched but he chuckled.

"I'm joking! Your baby is here." He said and handed it to you.

"You little shit! You scared me for a second." You said and hit his shoulder playfully as he giggled.

"By the way, your pick up line was awful, but I will give you my number." You said.

You sat across from each other after getting your orders, Chris had insisted on paying for your coffee, but you refused and told him to find a table for the two of you, secretly paying for his tea instead and bringing it to him.

"Why did you do that?" He asked after he realized that you tricked him and you shrugged.

"It's okay, you can get me a coffee next time." you said nonchalantly, wondering since when you had this much confidence.

"S-sure" he stammered.

After exchanging phone numbers with him as you had promised, you spoke up.

"Isn't it weird how we have talked on the phone without actually having each other's phone numbers?" You said and he nodded.

"Yeah, it's confusing. But it's okay. It's an interesting way to meet each other and it can definitely be used as an ice breaker with people." He said and you laughed.

"You're right on that. By the way, do you know how much a baby elephant weighs?" You asked and giggled at the thought of your horrible joke.

"Um, I don't know..." he trailed off with a confused look on his face, making you giggle again.

"Enough to break the ice" you said and he groaned.

"This is how you must felt at my horrible pick up line, right?" He asked and you chuckled.

"Yeah..." you trailed off taking a sip of your coffee.

And indeed your joke and your weird way of meeting was enough to break the ice, because you soon found yourselves conversing for hours and arranging to meet up again soon. For sure, it's a story you would share for the rest of your life.

Summary:Everyone seems to be so eager to see the cute barista, including Jungkook, but luck doesn’t seem to be on his side. So, what if he creepily followed him on his break?

It seemed to be a regular day for Jungkook. He woke up, got ready and started his day. On his way though, he noticed something different. A new coffee shop had opened and there seemed to be a huge line, people wanting to support the new place. He wasn't planning to actually go, especially because he hated waiting in line for that long. However there was something that caught his attention.

Whispers were heard coming from girls, about how cute the male barista was. He was now really curious to see how cute that barista could be to impress that many people. So he waited. And waited. Until it was finally the time to order.

To his dismay he was met with the face of a girl, the other barista nowhere to be seen. He tried to hide his frown as he ordered a coffee and left as quickly as he could, disappointed.

Jungkook moved on with his day, occupying himself with other stuff as he tried not to think about what happened earlier today. But of course, Jungkook can’t let something like that slide.

He decided to visit the same coffee shop the next day. Again, had to wait in a really long line, but this time he overheard something from the people in front of him that made him want to stomp his foot like a child.

"I came yesterday and there was a cute guy, the barista I was talking about. But I heard that today he has a day off, which is really unfortunate." She said to the group and a bunch of "aw man" and "That’s too bad" were heard from her friends.

Jungkook thought it would be too weird if he randomly left after waiting for so long, so he stayed and ordered, again leaving disappointed.

This couldn't be happening. It was so annoying. He just wanted to see his dumb face and go. At first it was just out of curiosity but now that he kept missing the chance to see him, he felt determined. He will eventually get to see him, he can’t be that unlucky.

The next days were really busy for him meaning that he couldn't visit the coffee shop and it really bumped him. He couldn't focus on any task. His only thought was the barista that he had yet to meet.  It was obvious to everyone else that something was on his mind. Jungkook was determined to see him.

So the next day he woke up earlier than usual. Trying to avoid the line but to also avoid the barista's break like the first time.

There was still a long line but not compared to the previous days. So he waited. As he reached closer and closer, he tried to take a look at the barista. Lucky for him he saw him there. But he was still far. He did seem really attractive though.

Jungkook panicked when he saw someone come from the back and motion him to take a break just as it was his turn to order. He said his order to the other barista as quickly as possible and paid, rushing to go to the back to find the barista.

He has to admit, he didn’t think much about it before going, the only time he let himself act impulsively. He was met with a sight he wasn’t expecting.

The barista had sat on an old chair, smoking a cigarette, letting his head fall back as he let the smoke out.  Jungkook could swear his heart skipped a beat at the sight. The barista noticed him first and gave an awkward smile.  

"Can I help you?" He asked and Jungkook shuddered after hearing his voice. "I..." Jungkook trailed off not knowing what to say.

"I'm (y/n)" he said and let out his hand for Jungkook to shake. "Jungkook" he relpied and shook his hand.

The barista's palm was so soft, it made Jungkook hold it for quite a little longer. He felt so awkward. He didn’t know what to say.

"I'm really sorry, but my break is coming to an end so I have to go back." (Y/n) threw the cigarette away and Jungkook nodded.

"I don’t have a programme yet, but I guess I’ll work in the mornings and my break will be around this hour. So if you would like, you can come again tomorrow at this time so we could talk." He continued and Jungkook nodded again as the man smiled and went back inside leaving Jungkook alone.

How could he come back tomorrow after this embarrassing interaction?

Jungkook pondered over what to wear for a little too long, but he was just in time, as he saw the barista pull out a chair. (Y/n) waved at him and brought a second chair for Jungkook to sit.

"Good morning. I made you coffee, it's on the house" (y/n) said and Jungkook blushed.

"You didn’t have to" he softly let out and the barista laughed a little.

"It’s okay, I wanted to do it anyway. Do you mind if I smoke?" He asked and Jungkook shook his head 'no'.

He wasn’t prepared to see the hot sight of him smoking again but he knew he couldn’t avoid it.

"So, Jungkook, tell me, how come you followed me back here yesterday?" He confidently asked and Jungkook gulped.

"To be honest, I don’t know what came over me. I acted impulsively and didn’t think of what to do next. I'm sorry if I creeped you out. I had just heard people talk about you and was really curious to see you. Then every time I came here, for a random reason I didn’t see you and it made me determined. So when I saw you leaving for your break when I was about to order I panicked." He rambled and (y/n) just nodded along and let out a small laugh again.

"I see. Well, I don’t mean to sound cocky but I did notice those people staring at me and talking about me. I'm glad that you were the only one out of them that was confident to talk to me. It seemed as if they were afraid to say anything after ordering. It was weird. I'm just a simple person. Not some celebrity or something. So I'm glad you practically saw me as a normal person and came up to me." (Y/n) admitted and Jungkook could just nod, at loss of words.

Silence followed and (y/n) took another drag of his cigarette, letting the smoke out in the same way as the first time Jungkook saw him and Jungkook’s heart had the same reaction as then.

Soon, his break was again coming to an end and he apologised, Jungkook shaking his head.

"It’s okay, I understand, this is work." He said and got up. The barista took out a paper from his pocket.

"Here is my number, we can meet again and this time for longer, so that we actually get to talk." (Y/n) said and Jungkook opened his hand to take it.

"I hope you text me soon" he said and walked inside leaving Jungkook a blushing mess.

Sicheng’s body moved in sync with mine, hitting every beat of the sensual song coming from the speakers. As we finished our practice, I kneeled down from tiredness, as I felt his presence behind me.

I turned towards him, glancing at his feet and dragging my gaze upwards, finally meeting his eyes. He held a serious expression on his face, no trace of any emotion in his eyes, however, when he held my chin between his fingers, even if his expression didn't falter, I could feel what he felt for me.

He was acting as if I don't mean anything to him, as if he doesn't care that much about me, as if he doesn't want me. Yet, I know he does. I know he cares, I know I mean a lot to him and I know he wants me.

If that wasn't true, then he wouldn't have rushed to my side to inspect my leg for any bruises, in that one practice in the past. He wouldn't have offered to drive me home in case my leg hurt much.

He wouldn’t have ever gotten out of his way for me. But he has done it many times, but it was so subtle, that no one thought anything of it. But anyone that pays close attention to him would know that in fact he isn’t like this with anyone else.

However, Sicheng still kept up the act, his hand dropping from my face at the sound of people approaching the studio, as he moved away from me, leaving me kneeling on the floor watching him move to the other side of the room.

And just like he did, I hid every trace of emotion from my face, even if I was sure that 2 seconds before that, I looked at him as if he was my whole universe.

"Can I steal this hoodie from you, please?" You asked Felix, your voice making his head snap up to look at you. He smiled and nodded his head 'yes' and watched you wear it immediately.

"You know you don't have to ask me every time, right?" He said and you nodded plopping next to him on the bed avoiding his gaze. "I know, but you always smile cutely when I ask and I like to see your smile" you admitted but refused to look anywhere near his face. He chuckled at your shyness, his hand reaching your chin softly turning your head towards him, your eyes still anywhere but his eyes.

"Look at me angel," he asked and you slowly moved your gaze towards his eyes. "You make me smile all the time. You make me smile when you steal my hoodies, you make me smile when you do as much as breathe" he paused to cradle your face in his hands "and you make me smile by just existing in my life. I love you so much, angel" he said and before you could react, he connected his soft lips on yours, your heart skipping a beat as if it was the first time he kissed you.

No matter how many years pass, you were sure he'd still have this effect on you, because your love for him is bigger than anything you've felt before, it's stronger than anything and you're sure you will feel like this for the rest of your life.

"Hey," you spoke up randomly and Chris hummed to urge you to continue talking, without looking up from his phone. When you didn't continue he raised his head and followed your gaze, looking at the kitchen counter confused. "What is it?" He asked after he turned to look at you again with a raised eyebrow.

He glanced at the kitchen counter again, still not knowing what's wrong and when he turned again he found your eyes on him.

"What is it, baby?" He asked again and you shrugged.

"Nothing I just wanted to say hey." You giggled and he smiled, shaking his head.

"Why are you so cute?" He asked and tackled you before littering kisses all over your face.
