Yet Another Player Fic, This Time For Febuwhump!
Yet another Player fic, this time for Febuwhump!
TRIGGER WARNINGS IN THE TAGS!
Summary:
"A pleasant little blip sounded off from one of his devices, signaling that the decryption program had finished its job. “I’ve almost got it,” He reported, the smile on his face turning more genuine,” Just hold them off for a little longer, and I can finish-”
Player doesn’t get to finish his sentence. "
Alternatively, Player just wants to help his friends. But nothing's ever that easy,

So, I'm rewatching S1 of The 100 and I came across a startling realization;
Bellamy knew Murphy didn't kill Wells
Warnings for murder, S1 plot details, and death.
To fully explain, we need to go back to when Charlotte was given a knife.
Bellamy nearly attacks her, assuming she's a Grounder after the girl slips out of camp. They talk, the scene ending with Bellamy showing a softer side for the first time in the season and giving the girl his knife.
Later, Charlotte uses that same knife to kill Wells.
After Jasper and Octavia find pieces of Wells' body (his fingers), they present it, along with the murder weapon, to Bellamy and Clarke. The four figure out that, because of this evidence, it had to have been one of them that killed Wells.
Clarke tries to tell the others and, after arguing about it with Bellamy, points out the initials on the knife "J.M", or, John Murphy. Which, to her, proves that it had to have been Murphy.
Except...
Bellamy gave that knife - a specific knife - to Charlotte. The scene is pretty significant, I don't think Bellamy would have forgotten giving Murphy's knife away.
Which means that Bellamy most likely knew that Murphy couldn't have used the knife on Wells, because he didn't have it.
...
Yeah, the implications get pretty dark.
Bellamy could have also mentioned this to Jasper, Clarke, and Octavia, all of whom would most likely have kept the secret to protect Charlotte. Which would have prevented Murphy from being attacked and nearly hanged, the mob from turning against Charlotte, along with her subsequent death and Murphy's banishment (The fever might not have reached the camp, which would have also prevented three more deaths).
Carmen, after not hearing from Player for a few days: Heya! It's nice to know you aren't dead in an alleyway!
Player, who just woke up to her calling: Same to you???
this is a metaphor

Summary:
On paper, introducing Sonia and Player seemed like a good idea.
(made for Player Appreciation Week Day 5)
*While visiting Player*
Zack: Hey, what state are we in?
Player: I want you to look me in the eyes and repeat what you just said.
