Forever grateful they ditched the voice-over thing from the earlier seasons, it just made me cringe. HOWEVER, I would have willingly cringed through it to hear Buck and Tommy's internal dialogue in the restaurant a la Buck and Abby's Valentine's date, because that shit would be hilarious.

Headcanon that Tommy's an anti-nickname person, but not in a Buckley parents you-have-a-legal-grownup-name-so-use-it way, more in a i-know-your-legal-name-so-will-use-it-to-show-how-much-i-care-about-you way.

Fox: we can't let Buck and Eddie interact, the fans will read too much into it

ABC: they already do so why not give them something to read into

Fox: the show doesn't need promoting

ABC: put the cast in front of a camera and let them say whatever the fuck they want

Fox: Maddie and Eddie are only interesting when they're traumatised

I guess I’m in the minority that I do think buck was being sincere about trying to get tommy’s attention. For one he went out of his way to see him before he knew he and eddie had bonded, and I think he was so excited when he thought eddie was inviting him along to karaoke because he thought “great this is my chance to hang out with my crush again!”

Like eddie and tommy are friends, so he thinks great maybe he has an in, but then eddie’s so distracted by how great tommy is he doesn’t even get the chance to ask, and then even when they are all together he still can’t get either of their attentions and his double ended jealousy just boils over.

Because it’s not like he can just ask right? Tommy is a guy, he can’t just ask eddie to set them up/put in a good word. So he starts trying to orchestrate situations where he can get closer to this guy without having to come clean about why he wants to.

Just remembered the scene where Karen and Chimney get drunk together and gang up on Hen and like, I need more of that. Why haven't they interacted one on one again? That was pure comedy gold! They've known each other the longest out of EVERYONE on the show. How did they first meet? When did they go from being neighbours to friends? Do they still hang out one on one? If so show me. Please. I'm begging.
