finished up a soft doodle of otto and I gotta' say the one thing I feel so kind of weirdly genius of is the idea on purple and yellow and figuring out that the rain coat girl is very much just cici / cece ( idk how to spell it ) makes me so fucking happy because I always intended otto's eyes to have the significant meaning of being really doodle-ish, like they're always frantic because he's looking for his sister. so I like to think now in his wardrobe he makes it a choice to wear yellow clothing because it gives him comfort. like his sister is still here even though she is very much Gone. that and yellow is often representative of many things but the big few for otto to me has always been cowardice, betrayal, caution, hope, philosophy, dishonesty, jealousy, covetousness, deceit, illness, hazard, and especially friendship and I'm latine and it's specifically a thing that bright marigold yellow is meant to be associated with death in some parts of mexico from what I read up on it. so, there is so much you could gage. also people talk about otto but y'all do realize this man might be german because otto is short for otfried or otmar. so, I'm now accepting that in my own headcanons of him ( yes I know cici is often short for cecilia which is a latin name in origin, but also in my hc given noone did point out that cici and otto looked NOTHING alike, it highly implies to my knowledge that otto is very much adopted )

I really made a fanfic which went ' what if I made a ghostface oc whos just a country guy ' that's. that's the premise.
Oops I just kinda rambled in the first one I hope you don’t mind two what was your favorite monster and kid ? and do you have a backstory for them. Or what was you favorite chapter if not? jester and the sewer man are mine. Jester was a Boy Scout of sorts and he loved exploring his dads jokes and helping people. to bad all those things were twisted in the Nowhere
nah ofc I don't mind !! as for my favorite monster and kid, I feel like my two faves are definitely rusty from the two of a kind and maybe the entirety of what happened in the theater of the mind because that episode really made me think of otto in a soft way ! also southern voices. for me with rusty though, it's more on the level of the circus and clown aesthetic that I am just a sucker for, I have SO many circus / clown characters in my back pocket, but more importantly the idea of teenagers within the nowhere is just interesting to me because it begs the question how old do you have to be in order to not be allowed within the nowhere given the ferryman / candleman refused otto but said there would be a quarter involved where a high toll would be given on the idea of otto becoming a manifestation / monster in that realm or continue bringing children to the ferryman / candleman as a means of trying to get glimpses into a world he cannot be apart of. rusty is a pure example that there could just be some sort of age limit in regards to that, beyond my other speculations. also, also, it is so sad to think on the fact that story was never finished, and the high implication at that point that every child or person noone has encountered within the nowhere has DIED.
so it is asking us, did rusty die or not. and more than that, it wasn't an unintended death because each person who has fell victim to a horrible fate in some means always got captured by a monster, etc. but for rusty, whatever he was planning was intended so it's like. for some people, they can thrive in the nowhere, but for some other individuals, they want to leave so badly that they will do anything, literally anything, to get away from it.
if I made an otto ask blog would people be into that
also, also. I don't know if this is something anyone noticed or if it was just me but why were the cops tailing dickie so hard like that? yes, they'd probably want to interview him out of everyone, but it's so specific and there was no mention of like mabel going over and telling them know about his involvement, so how in gods' name did they go for him out of EVERYONE else? because hell, I figured even oliver put in a word and said something, but I don't know, I don't think that's the case.
you know, going over to rewatch the third season of only murders in the building, the context of scenes with loretta make more sense right down to episode one because you immediately get why she is so nervous, it isn't because of the play, it's because of dickie.
