Billy’s Son: No you can’t, because he’s my friend now actually.

Billy: Son, he’s dripping blood everywhere all over the carpet, and he’s hanging from the ceiling.

Billy: No, I won’t shake your hand.

Billy’s Son: Dad, he’s not even talking. I don’t think he can talk.

Billy: I’m calling an excorcist, I sense he has malicious intent.

Billy’s Son: See, this is the judginess that made mom leave us.

I like the Denied one shots. They’re my bedtime stories. It’s 1AM in Philippines. They are good stories. To be honest last time I read your work was chapter 6 of WTTW so reading the super new stuff is so cool. As someone who didn’t watch you grow slowly, the sudden jump in quality is so cool. Good stories 👍 I thought they’d be bedtime stories but they made me excited. So now I’m walking around my house aimlessly. Good 👍👍👍

I know it's many many many more chapters and words to go through, so if you ever find the time to catch up (I recommend not all at once, this is not a binge-able story), I'd love to hear your thoughts on it!

Short Answer: I think it’d still be Billy’s Daughter, lol.

Long Answer: That might seem strange because in my interpretation — if you’re even willing to keep with such a long story, lol — I usually portray the name “Billy’s Son” as something restrictive. To be known not by name, but instead by your role. To not be known by any original character, but instead by your father’s presence. Billy’s Son… What would your real name be? Maybe Lenny? Or maybe Leyman? We’ll never know, your parents didn’t bother giving you one.

How about Billy’s Daughter? But that’s still a title, that’s not liberating at all! But it is. If this were the non-trans narrative then yeah, the resolution to Billy’s Son’s arc would be him getting a real name. But since this is a trans-narrative, Billy’s Daughter would be the real name of Billy’s Son. I also think this timeline would have a much more sweeter ending than the timeline where Billy’s Son gets a real name.

If Billy’s Son gets rid of his title, he’s essentially implying that he is no longer “Billy’s Son” but instead “○○○○○○.” This ending is disownment. But if Billy’s Son gets rid of her title in exchange for “Billy’s Daughter,” she’s not cutting her father off, but she does want her relationship with him to be different. This ending is renewal.

I always liked to think that the reason why her sweater is green and blue is because it’s a fusion of her parent’s colours (Green = Billy’s Girlfriend/Blue = Billy).

Anyway, here’s a trans interpretation, shhhhhhh… 🤫 don’t tell on me. Just a secret between us. If you’re wondering why she has a bolo tie, it’s because I like to think that every Le child gets a different tie.
