First of all, I would love to make this gender neutral, but the thought of going undercover with him when he’s in that suit and you’re in a cocktail dress is just

The eye contact would be both flirtatious but practical and sly

A/N: Hi anon! I love this idea! This reminded me of Tanjiro so I kind of based reader’s personality off his.

I’ll be honest, he hated you at the beginning

He didn’t understand your kindness and sweetness, always putting others before yourself

He thought it was unnecessary, especially when talking about being merciful with villains

While he’d be blowing them up, you’d be apologising to them before taking them down then helping them back up at the end of the fight

The amount of times he’d yell at you for doing that like man chill

On the other hand, you admired his boldness, strength, and his confidence

A lot of his brutality stemmed from his confidence in what he does and his strong moral compass

Yours was strong too, but they pointed in different ways

Because of your empathy, you’d see ways Bakugo would handle things and wish you could do the same

Being empathetic comes with a lot of guilt, and you admired Bakugo for taking down his enemies and extruding his confidence without regrets

The only way you guys got together is pretty specific because of how opposing the dynamic was a friends

You managed to break down a wall of his when he was angry one time

You pointed out exactly what he was feeling not as a weakness but as something he could overcome

He was blown away 

From then on, he got along with you just as much as he gets along with Kirishima

And one thing leads to another, you guys ended up together

You keep him in line, because if you helped him with his inferiority and superiority complexes, he helped you with your guilt

You guys helped each other in ways no one else could

Bakugo told you who you could be a bit gruffer with because he knew they could take it

You taught him plenty really

Such as patience, sensitivity, and empathy of course

The one thing he couldn’t shake out of you was how you treated villains, not that he’d have wanted to

It was something he loved about you

The dynamic on the battlefield was almost comedic

You’d make sure to trail him, helping up those he blew over

And if you gently dealt with someone, Bakugo would appear in their face as soon as you leave to yell at them

It was very eye-opening for him to hear you tell a villain to get help, it made him realise that there are reasons for people acting the way they act

It helped him realise stuff like why he had his attitude towards Midoriya

He’d always stop and listen to the villain if your soft words managed to get one to open up about how their life led them there

It’d get to the point where he’d be comfortable enough with you to go to you with is problems

The patience you showed him made him so soft arghh

It’d take him realistically about ten minutes before he’s crying in front of you just because of your words of affirmation

You’d get the likes of Sero and Kaminari asking what you did to him because he goes to 1A in the morning and replaces the pencil of Kaminari’s he’d snapped the day before

Needless to say you both help each other in different ways, you helping him more than the other way around to be honest

If he ever shouted at Midoriya in front of you, you’d pull Midoriya aside and say “he doesn’t mean it, last night he told me he thought you were incredible”

Bakugo would be a bit upset but you’d make it up to him (the lack of guilt he’d helped you with)

In truth, you weren’t lying about what Bakugo had said about Midoriya, you had just left out the part where he said he hated that he was better than him for it
