two major studies of pregnant rape victims found the 3/4 of those women chose to give birth
false , there are no major studies that even come close to that vague of a percentage and there is already a major study that debunks this

( the second graph explains the first one's orange in detail )
in reality most women pregnant from rape chose abortion . Also numbers would be higher if women who were raped got better medical help ( found out they were pregnant earlier ) , most women who chose not to abort because the found out late in the pregnancy . If women were given proper medical help the number would be higher .
93% of those who had abortions said it " has not been a good solution to their problems " and they " would not recommend it to others in their situation "
actually , women rarely regret their abortion , no matter the reason

Idc what someone political views are , everyone deserves reproductive rights and right to abortion.
like yall r fucking stupid i saw a few people saying some bs about the new abortion ban law and going “well maybe if texas wasnt a red state we would care 💅” and ive seen this behavior whenever something bad happens in texas and it’s like u realize there are good people in the state right? people that agree with ur politics who don’t deserve it? innocent people who will face the consequences of racist and reproductive restraining laws in texas? u are fucking selfish and ur “leftism” only extends so far, u donot actually care about ur fellow man
Do you have any resources on the topic of abortion in the case of disabled fetuses? Personally I think abortion should always be an option but I'm not disabled and disabled communities probably discuss this too so I'd like to hear from them
I don’t have any resources, no. I don’t think I’ve seen many resources either.
Discussions, yes, I have seen a lot. Disabled people talk about it a lot.
Generally speaking, unless they are anti-choice, it seems most agree that the abortion isn’t the problem but rather an ableist and eugenicist society, which includes the complete lack in support for parents, whether their children are disabled or not, and for disabled adults. Classism and capitalism also play a role in this.
There are also some disabilities and chronic conditions that would significantly diminish quality of life and/or shorten it, especially if their parents can’t afford all the care they may need. In those cases, many parents believe it’s more merciful to abort before, although there are still those determined to try their best to give what they can.
After all, when you decide to keep a pregnancy, or intentionally got pregnant, it’s not like it’s super easy to give up a potential child just like that.
For example: There are children born with little to no brain. Very few ever develop, if they even make it to birth. But, sometimes, their brains continue to grow and develop after all.
It’s up to parents to decide if they want to take that chance when the disability is so severe.
You do, of course, get some of us who disagree and believe abortion of potentially disabled fetuses should be banned.
But I feel like that would be a slippery slope to banning other forms of reproductive care, let alone to banning allowing doctors to talk about terminal circumstances in case they get punished.
We have seen every trick in the book when it comes to reproductive health-based restrictive legislation, we’ve seen what they lead to. Every good intentioned ban winds up with disastrous consequences, from medical gag rules, to discrimination, to fear, to skyrocketing neonatal and maternal fatalities, to imprisonment under for miscarriage, to child abuse, to child murder... it earnestly is far better to combat an ableist society by attacking the cause, not slap a bandaid over one symptom of it.

Abortion is dangerous
Abortions are generally very safe and most women will not experience any problems. But like any medical treatment, there's a small risk that something could go wrong. The risk of complications increases the later in pregnancy an abortion is carried out.
Generally speaking abortion is safer than pregnancy and child birth
