STANDING IN FRONT OF THE "SPLASH ZONE:"

bakugo learns very rapidly that standing in the "splash zone" also speaks to baby girls and not just baby boys in a very unpleasant way.

he begins his traditional manner to set up for changing a diaper but with more acceleration than usual since he was already a tiny bit late for a meeting. While you offered to do it to let him free, he denied it. Messily, he loosened the diaper's seal around his little Katsumi's waist while rummaging for some fresher ones and wipes.

and just as he was doing relatively well, his baby looked at him with the most innocent look and peed on his white button-up and tie. It's safe to say he never got to that meeting.

𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐎 𝐇𝐈𝐓𝐎𝐒𝐇𝐈,

SPIT UP'S:

do you know how wives say that they wish their husbands could listen to them more? that's you. You've told repeatedly shinso not to bounce the baby promptly after she was finished feeding after your own experience, and of course, he never listened, so as a result of that, you decided you'd rather allow him to learn from his mistakes.

so right after nurturing his seven-month-old, shinso wipes her mouth first with her bib then released her from the confinements of her highchair. He sat her up in his arms and began to bounce her unconsciously while cleaning the art painted on her tray. When he finishes, he just glances at her broad e/c eyes —the matching hue as yours— and she stares up at him before puking on his shoulder.

𝐊𝐈𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐌𝐀 𝐄𝐈𝐉𝐈𝐑𝐎,

EXPECTANCY OF BECOMING A SUPER-DAD:

from the moment you told kirishima that you were pregnant, he committed himself to becoming the perfect dad but did not discern that that concept was mythical, especially when he specializes as a pro-hero where his time is reduced. Slowly, he begins to descend for not arriving in time when you went into labor because someone was stuck underneath a truck or not witnessing his son's first breath since gunshots ranged out by a convenient club.

so, when he finally arrives —about an hour later— he apologizes, to both of you and you tell him that there are just some things he can't control and that's not his fault. Still not convinced by your words, you allow him to hold kenchi and told him to look at him if he was disappointed. There was not an ounce of disappointment in his eyes but rather replaced with drowsiness from being placed in his father’s arms as his eyes narrowed then finally dropped close.

he sobbed.

LETTING YOUR BABY WATCH VIDEOS UNSUPERVISED:

midoriya realizes that it takes merely three minutes for his toddler to take 176 impoverished pictures of himself, delete important files, and text "hsbdyomenhs44%" to bakugo.

he decided why not a little screen time while he cooks dinner before you arrive home, so he puts on an All Might compilations in hopes his child would grow up to adore All Might as he'd. Positioning his toddler in his playpen, he places ingredients in the crockpot that takes about two hours to cook before he goes to check up on Daiki. Later approaching the playpen, he realizes that setting a two-year-old alone with his phone wasn't be the best idea after witnessing his son watching a music video consisting of guns and women's nodding asses.

POKING A SLEEPING BABY:

todoroki frets over everything. Rather if his son is sneezing or giggling, he has the suspicion that everything is trying to strike his baby.

He spends his time hanging around the crib his entire maternity leave making sure his son is still living. Once, and only once, he felt like his son wasn't breathing, so in conclusion, he began to panic and poke around to check for movement. You both didn't get any sleep that night.

shinso is such a sandwich guy.

like the man is rarely seen without a turkey sandwich in his hands or protruding through his right cheek. Your words go over his head when you talk to him while he's constructing one together, either responding by saying "that's nice, baby" or plainly nodding his head.

a/n 📓: personalized wedding cufflinks!!! and while I'm still in high school and not planning on getting married yet, can you imagine bakugo wearing these?! God, it's so sweet! I had to write a little blurb about this.

𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐒. unproofread (ill re-read and correct stuff later), fluff, gender-neutral, flustered bakugo, kinda rushed, I used katsuki instead of bakugo because I am close to him

The day before your wedding, bakugo imprints your initial as well as his on his two golden studs. It's a touching gesture that goes unnoticed for two years after your marriage.

That is, until you move into a wider home and need to pack up.

A room containing sharpie-identified boxes crowned by other boxes is revealed to you when you enter the room. In the bedroom, nothing was left unboxed except the bed and the drawers. It was agreed that you would get new drawers and leave the old ones behind and of course, you would pack up your bed when the moving truck arrived tomorrow, the day of the move.

You kneeled to reach for the first district of the drawer as you plopped the tape dispenser along with three cardboard boxes on the floor. As you dug through your pile of clothes, you placed them neatly inside the box, and carried out the same manner with Katsuki's clothes, except his were collected in a separate box. You left two outfits out and placed them on top of the polished surface of the drawer to be worn for tomorrow.

You hear from outside the room a car beep along with a shut of the trunk. Katsuki found himself busy filling in the space in the car with the smaller items.

After you complete combing through the empty section, you tape the boxes shut and mark them with your black sharpie.

While spelling your name, you caught something that remained unpacked from the corner of your eye, sitting on your nightstand. Katsuki's waxed jewelry box.

Almost two years ago, it contained charms that you might expect every man to have, a tangled mess of stud earrings, rings, necklaces, and Jolly Ranchers candy wrappers.

Now, probing through the small box, you noticed nothing really had changed, except Katsuki now had a taste in Smarties.

There was one thing, however, that really caught your attention: the new shining studs from the box. You picked one up. It had a printed date on it, 5.17.19, or in other words, your wedding date.

You picked up its twin next which had something different imprinted on it. (Y/F/I) + K.

It's a small detail that makes your heart skip.

Katsuki knocks on the open door which causes your attention to flick to his eyes. He's leaning on the doorway with an eyebrow raised, "What are you doing?"

With glinting heart eyes, you point the cufflink towards him, "it has our initials on it! Did you do that?"

He squints his eyes to get a better view of it before the image clicks in his mind. You can see redness sweep across his ears, "yeah, so what?" He murmurs, embarrassed at being caught being sentimental.

"Why didn't you tell me? It's so cute," you say with a grin, turning your hand to stare at it again with a thumb running over the dents.

"What could I say? It wouldn't matter," he grumbles.

You're not angry that he didn't tell you, far from it actually. You're flustered that he would even go through something as so minor and charming as this even if it didn't get recognized. It conveyed to you how much he loves you and that none of this is for show.

The man even wears his wedding ring on rare occasions when you're both alone and unoccupied in your small apartment. You memorize toying with the ring on his finger while you rested your head on his lap watching movies at home unaccompanied.

Is it possible that a man would deliberately or unconsciously give the smallest details tremendous attention? It's not always the case, but for Katsuki, it will be.
