So... once again thinking about the Darksiders characters if they were implemented into a MOBA. Sorry if this is a tired idea to anybody. It's just, with playing Wild Rift, it gets me thinking, and Darksiders is one of my favorite video game series, so sometimes thoughts just form together.
I was thinking about passives and got an idea while trying out Tryndamere. Maybe for the Horsemen, just like how Tryndamere generates "Fury," the Horsemen generate "Wrath." I don't think it's a bad idea, considering in the Darksiders games "Wrath" can be generated when in combat just like "Fury" is for Tryndamere.
Tryndamere isn't the only one with "Fury" in LoL either. Renekton and Shyvana also do use "Fury," just in different ways to Tryndamere. So, maybe "Wrath" is generated differently for each Horseman. Using the Rider of the Black Horse as an example, Fury could say generate "Wrath" in a similar way to Shyvana, where her abilities are based on how long they cool down and her "Wrath" is what is used for her Ultimate. Meanwhile, War and Death could take inspiration from Renekton and Tryndamere. War could generate "Wrath" and for his next basic ability will get an empowered effect once enough is stored, while Death when generating "Wrath," depending on the amount, could get a higher chance for a critical strike. Now, that just leaves Strife. He's a bit harder to figure out. His "Wrath" would be generated in combat just like the other Horsemen, but what extra effect could it have, if needed? I'm stumped. Oh, or maybe Strife is the one with "Wrath" related to his Ultimate while Fury share "Wrath" use similar to War or Death.
Now, what of other Darksiders characters? Would they use "Wrath?" I think that could depend. As part of a hypothetical passive in a MOBA, maybe it could work, while others I could see as having a Mana bar like Ekko, or an Energy bar like Akali. Depends on their personality, I guess. Or some could just be baseline Manaless, all their abilities being a bit more based on cool downs.
Someone like Absalom would probably also have "Wrath," while someone like Azrael would probably have Mana. Don't know what characters could use Energy though, not many feel like they have abilities built around doinf things quickly like Kennen, Akali, Shen, or Zed. Funny idea I just had while typing this is maybe The Hunter from Darksiders 2 having Ferocity, just like Rengar... I'm joking! That could probably fit Samael? Ulthane's abilities I could see being purely based on cool downs.
Speaking of Ulthane, what could his passive and abilities be? I think his passive could be a Living Forge type of deal similar to Ornn from League, where he can forge his own items on the battlefield instead of always having to return to base, and at least one of his abilities has to be throwing his hammer, while another could be a type of charge/dash, while maybe another could be something like throwing a powerful enough haymaker it sends out a shockwave, and I have no idea at the moment what his Ultimate could be. Now, some may be asking, "Why a powerful haymaker that can create shockwaves?" Simple enough answer. Considering War needed the Tremor Gauntlet to open heavy doors and lift Ulthane's hammer in Darksiders 1, a Gauntlet that can allow War to create shockwaves on the ground with a certain move, who's to say Ulthane can't be strong enough to do something similar? Or maybe it could be a Thunderclap, similar to what the Incredible Hulk can do?
Anyways, this is feeling like it's getting a bit long, and I am up bit late as I am writing this, so I will return to this later and try coming up with more ideas at some point. Hope you all enjoyed this and hey, if you got ideas you wish to add, that's cool.
So... with Marvel, particularly X-23, on the mind a bit lately and wanting to get back into my SMT V: Vengeance playthrough, I kinda got to thinking of what would her role be in an SMT/Marvel Crossover AU. Taking some inspiration from the time she was Captain Universe, maybe she could be a Nahobino? Or maybe she could be someone like Tao or Yoko? Or maybe the Tao-like or Yoko-like role could go to a different character?
I do know if I write something for an SMT/Marvel Crossover AU, I would like to do something with Thor, both versions, where it's something like Eric Masterson is SMT Thor's Knowledge. Or maybe have it be Kevin Masterson, Eric Masterson's son? I also just had the idea while typing this of maybe writing something with Andi Benton, maybe making the Mania Symbiote like Aogami while Andi is the human who bonded. Maybe I will go with that instead, maybe so that I can try writing something with Andi meeting Nico Minoru and Laura and them going on a journey similar to what the Nahobino and company do in SMTV. Or maybe I could go with a combination of these ideas? Have Andi and Laura in roles similar to Tao and Yoko while whoever I make Thor's Knowledge is the protagonist?
Another idea is having Franklin Richards as the protagonist, with Rachel Summers as the one with a kinda similar role to Tao or Yoko. This idea popped in my head when mulling over the many possibilities for an SMT/Marvel Crossover. Franklin has cosmic power in the comics, the ability to create a miniature universe, while Rachel is one of the hosts of the Phoenix Force. Obviously, for this crossover idea, I will depower Franklin a bit, and I will probably try thinking of a mythological being for him to be the Knowledge of.
Beats Antique is a trio that creates a unique experience. Their music combined with Zoe Jakes' dance is said to be wonderful. Unfortunately, I have never seen them live and I probably will not any time soon. Doesn't mean they don't have some interesting music videos though.
I first stumbled across this when I think I was on a Primus kick for a small bit. The music video did catch my attention but the music made me stay for what Beats Antique brought.
This song honestly got me thinking of how interesting it could be to have a sort of action-platformer starring someone named Beezlebub. I also had the funny idea of Beelzebub from the Shin Megami Tensei series just singing this for whatever reason. Or just randomly saying shit like he always eats his veggies. Or that his eyes reflect the flame.
I don't really got much to say on this, besides that I like it. Not by any means my favorite rap by Rustage, that goes to "Devil's Luck," but overall really fun to listen to.
AWESOME! Hey, if you want to go off, show your expertise and share your many thoughts, I say go right ahead! I'd like to hear it!
So... a while ago I made a post about how I think it would be cool to see a team-up of Andi Benton, Laura Kinney, and Nico Minoru. Today, another team-up that I think could be cool to see is Laura Kinney and Victor Mancha. Both are a person made to be used by a malicious force as a "tool" against others. Laura by The Facility as a living weapon for mostly assassination missions, while Victor was created by Ultron to be used against the Avengers. Pretty sure both also had a mother who loved and cared for them that is now not in the picture. I know Laura was forced to kill her mother, but I admit I can't remember what exactly happened to Victor’s mother.
Also, slight tangent, but I know there is this headcanon for some that Laura is Trans, considering she is stated to be a clone of Logan, so it popped in my head of "How come no one headcanons Victor as Trans?" Because you know, Ultron ain't got genetics, so I am pretty sure all of Victor’s come from his mother.
Anyways! There is some similarities that I think could allow a cool team-up with these two. Maybe something like Ultron gets ahold of whatever files The Facility had left and decides to use whatever knowledge they give him to attempt a new plan of wiping out The Avengers or some such? Or maybe a whole new villain that only the two of them working together can help defeat?
What are anybody else's thoughts on this?
