I wish I could be optimistic about the second pjo season, I really do, but every time I see that hopeful sentiment of "maybe the show runners will listen to the complaints about season 1 and fix it going forward!!" it reminds me of another notable time that RR's work received a not insignificant amount of criticism (the Blood of Olympus), and in response he wrote a passive aggressive one-shot wherein the seven literally just sit and verbally justify everything that happened asdlfksdjfsdf

I don’t talk about Pokémon very much but oh my gods I will SO tell you my ideal team.

Okay so; my lineup probably looks like

Serperior

Obstagoon

Sylveon

Toxtricity

Gallade

Falinks

And now I will explain why. Take into account that I don’t take any type weaknesses really into account when I make teams because usually I am headstrong enough to just boulder through any challenges.

First off my baby, my favorite starter Pokémon Serperior

That’s my guy; I’d name mine Commodus or smth like that. It’d probably have the basic ability, I’d put more stats in it being my little fast physical attacker to pack some nice little punches and then dissapear and be my baby. It’s moveset probably is uh, magical leaf, leech seed, bullet seed, and breaking swipe :3

All of these are some of my favorite Pokémon but the next one up is Obstagoon,

Specifically if I could it’d be a shiny Obstagoon, maybe named Brutus or Cassius for the funnies (if anyone can’t tell all of my main first teams in pkm games get named after Roman’s for haha funny jokes that only I find haha funny). I’d probably try and get a Obstagoon with Guts as an ability for the vibes or whatever. Movepool would probably be obstruct, throat chop, x-scissor, and close combat

Sylveon is actually my #1 favorite Pokémon of all time and is required on all of my teams,

There’s Clodius lol (please my Sylveon always ends up being my bruiser too) but I’d keep a cute charm sylveon and my moveset would be. Draining kiss, disarming voice, psyshock, and play rough.

If anyone can tell I play Pokémon in a very “offense is the best defense” way, guns a blazing and all that jazz.

Next up is toxtricity,

I’d want an amped form Toxtricity and I’d name it like. Nero lol maybe Quinctilius even (gods know that when I try to get one I’m getting to number 5 before I got one with the right nature) but I’d figure out a witty funny name for it. The move pool would probably be, overdrive, toxic spikes, sludge bomb, and discharge (P.S this would be my gigantamax Pokemon in sword and shield)

Also Gallade :3 I like Gallade, a silly little knight.

His name would be Luci (short for Lucius Junius Brutus because I had to slip in one of my favorite Roman myth guys in there) he’d be my mega pokemon and it’d be silly. I’d try to get Justified but if not a sharpness Gallade would be fire too. Its movepool would be something like, psycho cut, psybeam, aura sphere, and close combat.

Finally, we have Falinks, the boy!!

His name would be Pompey. He’d be a silly group of guys. It’d have no retreat just because I like the animation, megahorn, brick break, and rock slide

That’s it :3 honorable mentions probably go to mimikyu, dedenne, meowstick, pidove line, primarina, meowscarada, and others. This is just the team I’d probably roll with and uh. I like pokemon :3 I don’t take any of the technical aspect seriously but there’s like story in the team and stuff

At least with the impact and the heat of the orb of gold along with his jewelry suction cupping(/hj) himself to said orb of doom at least it is very likely that he just. Blipped, his brain probably conked out and then he just blew up. Which is not a good what to go but I don’t think he’d have much time to be in pain. He’d have maybe 30-45 seconds to be like “aaaa” and then he’s out. Then with the impact of the imperial gold death orb, Gaea, and Festus all exploding Octavian’s body got blown to bits or just incinerated. Which, bad news for his funeral but, I mean at least he wouldn’t be conscious for much of it. Of course this is assuming the giant orb of doom is hot enough from being tons and tons of magical gold concentrated together (though imperial gold probably operates differently the real gold? Seeing as If it didn’t I’d assume most people would not be able to swing around their gladii. Although I can’t calculate the weight of a golden Gladius due to the density and volume of a Gladius being like. Impossible information to come by but they’d be heavy and stuff) this also brings up the whole “how are we launching gold into the air if it’s gold.” But whatever I’m spiraling into a tangent.

Summary methinks Octavian just ka-pow and got dusted. Seeing as the imperial gold was like. Steaming if I remember correctly and I don’t think Festus racing in with a in fire Leo (I think he was on fire idk I don’t remember BoO) would help at all with the stability of said orb of doom. Have I put too much thought into his death? Mayhaps but uh. I also took time to consider the exact swing projection was of a character beating someone to death with a metal pole so really I expect only the worst from me lol. This brings up the bag of worms of how unstable a material imperial gold seems to be in high amounts and stuff, and like i want to know more about its properties because everything we learn about it just makes this metal more like. Whaaaa, okay yeah sorry I’m rambling

Just realized something in PJO

Since Octavian died via burning, he not only had a long and excruciatingly painful death, but if he has any loving family they won’t get his body back to bury it, because it’s completely charred

That’s horrifying. I get he’s a terrible person, but dang!

Kleos cries over plates.

Kleos here, dear 5 people who read this you may be asking “Kleos why are you crying over plates? Whose plates are you mourning??” And I say, Camp Half-Bloods plates.

Specifically like here- I’m writing notes about stuff I want to post so I can have drafts that I can just shoot off when I’m on a plane or busy or just need something to put out. Pages 14-17 (as of now) are about mealtimes/the dining pavilion in CHB. Why does this affect the plates? Well, we all know about the Dryads and how they come over with the beef and the strawberries and all that jazz. Fine all good and dandy the plates are just plates.

And that’d be good, I could go off context clues and stuff and ramble about the diets of children at CHB with that. If Leo didn’t come barging in talking in MoA about the magical enchanted plates they got from CHB along with the cups that magically summoned food. I’ve been (not actually) crying over this for the past 2 hours because it hurts my brain to decipher what this means. Because we have the many instances of the very average plate plates and then the magical girl plates.

This in my head means two things. Either all the plates are magic at CHB except they don’t use the magic plates or those plates Leo has have been locked in Chiron’s china cabinet in the big house for display- which obviously the wording of the 2nd option is a joke but like. The lore implications of what the plates magical status to me in this fictional universe is somehow halting me completely in any progress which is stupid. “Kleos it’s just something Rick didn’t think of,” “Kleos as your peers say, tis not that deep bro” and I say to that. Yeah no duh, but who cares other arbitrary strawman me (the one worm in my brain that is realistic).

So, as I cried over what was going on with Michael Kahale all those months ago. Now I cry over plates. Fucking plates, because either option in my brain makes me ask “why aren’t they using the magic plates” when they use the magic cups??? I can just go with “they are in majority of canon seen as normal plates. Therefore they are normal plates and Leo was just on something/j” but this is my plate conundrum. Maybe in a few days I’ll answer my own problem but this has been “Kleos cries over a plate issue rather than actually writing that Bryce Lawerence fic or continuing to work on the first chapter of SoN re-imagined” thank you.
