Taehyung couldn’t get close enough, squeezing himself between the bed railing and you, careful not to squish you as you were still sore and very exhausted. He watched the baby feed while stroking your forehead with his finger, you were sure he wasn’t aware he was even doing it.
Peering up at your husband you just smiled, watching the twinkle in his eye brighten as he stared down at Haneul, only a few hours old.
“Alright papa,” the nurse comes in singing in a hushed tone and Taehyung pouts, the quiet moment disturbed, “why don’t we let mom rest and you-” he watches her as she carefully cradles Haneul in her arms, “can have some time with baby.”
Taehyung beams, leaning down to kiss your cheek before getting out of bed. The nurse walks over and explains what skin to skin means and how this helps regulate the baby’s body temperature-
“New dads always enjoy this,” the nurse looks at you and chuckles while Taehyung removes his button-down, no longer caring much about the shirt and tossing it to the side, “it gives dad and son a chance to bond and has even shown to decrease anxiety in new dads,” she says with a wink.
