Some More Found Photos - This Time It Is A Stripe Of Negatives I Found In A Pile Of Trash On A Deserted

Some more found photos - this time it is a stripe of negatives I found in a pile of ‘trash’ on a deserted spot close to the railroad. Someone left all the remainings of Herta K. there. I also found some letters, that’s how I know her name. I went through her stuff (though it was already exposed to rain, snow and the cold) and took home some of it ...

Oh my fucking god ... bird houses!!??!! Seriously!!?? Who creates something ugly like this?? I mean: why?? What the fuck are you doing, Vienna? Who wants to live like this?? Tiny houses for a tasteless people?? I really just can’t ...

I found this photo while I was reading Kafkas “The Stoker” (”Der Heizer”) - this really shaped my visualisation of the story.

This winter I was reading ‘The Virgin Suicides’ by Jeffrey Eugenides. I had both versions - the original version and the German translation - and I loved comparing them very much. Especially Cecilias poem and its translation kept me thinking - because it sounds a little strange in German. That is why I very often think about how I would have translated it differently ... maybe someday I’ll have a good idea. The trees like lungs filling with air My sister the mean one, pulling my hair (The Virgin Suicides, S.44) Wie Lungen fülln sich die Bäume mit Luft. Meine Schwester, das Biest, hat mich wieder geknufft. (Die Selbstmord-Schwestern, S.47)

And another picture from the same pile ... it was heavily damaged by rain and cold, but this time you still can see big parts of the original motive. It almost seems like the water from the photo is soaking into its paper ...

I really do love light and shadows. And GIFs. I want to try to create more GIFs ... but of course my first approaches failed ... because everything has to be done and redone till a certain point. The way the sunlight moves through my appartement in the course of a year is very interesting to me. And I would love to catch that somehow - here I tryed to make a photo everytime the sunbeam hits the corner for the course of about a month.
