Side/Minor/One-Off Character Day

screenshot redraw up first! this one's from season five's Speakeasy Rider, the first appearance of Sasha Whiteman and one of his many great lines. rewatching his 4(!!) episodes recently i realized he has so many of them lmao but this shot looked fun and simple to redraw.

if you know me you know how much i love sasha. he's definitely my favorite minor character, and this will not be the last you see of him from me this week.

and my second favorite minor character Darryl!!! wanted to draw him in outfits other than his regular one, so i grabbed screenshots from (top to bottom) season six's Hormone-iums, season four's Fort Night, and season five's Can't Buy Me Math. references below, and this will not be the last you see of darryl from me this week either. i love him. he's so silly

i was very excited about the roommates prompt lmao. based this comic off of gene's story in season 13's "what about job?" and stole tina's outfit from bob's 👀

OC Day

normally, OCs aren't really my thing, so i originally wasn't gonna do this day. but then i realized i technically had a couple from my gene death fic over on ao3, so i decided to draw out my visions for them!

on the left, Dr. Peralta. considering she's only in one chapter, i gave way more thought to this woman than i should have.

she's louise and tina's therapist. a young adult, in her early twenties. i focused on her and louise specifically in the chapter she's in, and i wanted someone who louise could feel safe/comfortable to talk to and open up to about everything. she shares a lot of louise's interests and sense of humor- she's basically an adult louise, and louise finds her very cool.

on the right, Nurse Garcia.

she was gene's nurse during his time in the hospital. a kind, caring woman, gene loved her and spent all his time when his family wasn't around talking to her, even playing her his music. out of all of alexandra's patients, gene was her favorite. a huge soft spot grew for him, she went to his funeral, and continued helping out the family even after she was no longer taking care of gene.

I just knew I had to draw Bart and Milhouse today, and I have @numberonetinabelcherdefender to thank for it, because they introduced me to this wonderful pairing in the first place. I also knew I wanted to draw a piece of them inspired by one of my favorite Boblin moments that I think about all the time:

1. favorite burger of the day?

easy. "Say It Ain't Cilantro Burger - (Doesn't come with cilantro. Because cilantro is terrible.)"

it's just so unnecessary and so funny. like is it just a regular burger but more expensive?? it's hilarious and i love it

2. Which joke had you crying with laughter?

not so easy. there's so many great jokes in this show it's hard to remember, but i will start crying laughing at just about anything if i'm tired enough. but bonus points if the joke is from tina- if it's her i've got a much higher chance of crying laughing, she's just so naturally funny sometimes and her lines are always golden

that one's a tina centered fic, the title taken from the song Picture A Word from Some Like It Bot Part 2: Judge-bot Day. it's an alternate ending to that episode, a "what if tina had actually gone through with destroying the touch screen?"

i definitely don't have all the details figured out, and there's definitely a shit ton of research on the legal system for me to do, but im very excited about it!

here's a snippet :)

“Okay, guys, if I could just do this real quick?” Tina stepped away from the window and faced the touch screen, raising the hand with the hammer. Her own words rang in her head-

All we need to be free,

is to destroy a little property.

I’ll be free, she thought, Finally free.

And she brought the hammer down on the touch screen.

Her brain was only registering three things- the faint ringing in her ears, her family shouting her name, and the very tight grip she had on the hammer. Not the glass littering the floor, not the blood on her hands.

Loosening her death grip on the hammer, Tina took a step back. Now ignoring the voices of her family, she studied what she had done. The touch screen was totally destroyed, and there were shards of glass all over the place. Wonder how many of those got into my skin, she thought.

And it hit her that she had touched it, the point of no return. She had made the decision on impulse to do this, and she had actually gone through with it. She was just so sick of what was happening, wanted the voices of both Tammy and herself screaming at her in her head telling her she was… weird to stop. All Tina wanted was to be able to be herself, but Tammy had made her question if herself was someone people would genuinely like.

It was just awful what Tammy was doing, she was just awful. All Tina had wanted was for her bullying to end. And now it would. Her job was done. Now she better get out of here…

Quickly, she shoved the hammer back into her backpack, slung it over her shoulder, and ran for the door. However, upon opening it, she came face to face with Tammy Larsen herself.
