I just noticed this missing cat poster in A THIEF IN THUNDERCLAN. The cat depicted looks ginger. Maybe Firestar’s owners put this up and never took it down. At this point in time they have a new cat but who knows.

She my scrunkly unhinged oc from the Hawthorns! She is a Soothsayer, which means her whole role is to commune with the ancestors and interpret prophecies! Her connection to the Stars is almost 0 and instead she is haunted by this world's equivalent of the dark forest.
I am trying to come up with a suffix for her that summarizes her weirdoness, I am mostly leaning towards an "eye" themed one, bec she has a weirdo stare.
I never read POT so I’ve only gotten to know Hollyleaf through the fandom. This perspective is quite interesting and I never thought of her like that. It does explain a lot of her actions. Also, she looks like someone who’s been woken up from a nap. Very interesting. 👏👏

when i was a kid she was probably my favorite next to yellowfang, and she still is. i like characters that engage in morally questionable activities due to mental and/or physical trauma/stressors and she definitely fits those to a t. I like me a good “final straw” event. But i think a lot of people boil her down to either a hateful unhinged christian or a misunderstood girlboss wincat when she is neither. she is much more complicated and imo, examined from a meta lense, one of the most consistently interesting fem cats in the series in regards to mental illness and the failures of the warrior code/cat religion. i could talk abt her all day but tbh i think that summarizes enough for now. love her so much

this part of the starclan’s chosen map is probably my favorite for several reasons and i haven’t stopped thinking about it
like. gorsepaw isn’t a major character, or even a minor one. these four shots are about the entirety of his existence in the books. but his death obviously would’ve had a huge impact on both onestar and firestar, so it gets four parts and several seconds of the map dedicated to it! and the fact that we’re watching his kithood, his murder, his death, and his spirit life simultaneously just makes me….it’s so COOL
usually this level of attention and emotion in maps is reserved for big impactful deaths and close family, but that’s not the case this time and i appreciate it. also gorsepaw deserved better and i’m emo about it

i think in an anthro/human au she'd be like... the loud fire-and-brimstone preacher that everyone's just kind of decided to ignore while simultaneously being arguably the most competent one there. like she can cure any disease you're likely to get but she'll tell you you're going to hell in the same breath. i hope that makes sense i'm running on like one hour of sleep rn
also i imagine her with a southern accent. no one else has a particular accent but she's southern because i mean. of course she is
