“What if Odysseus adopts Astyanax 🥰” tf happens to Andromache in that timeline then?
Thinking about what went on at Olympus during the Trojan War is so interesting cause it must have been so tense in there at times 😭 but even before like. Who made the decision to choose *Paris* in particular and did they know who he was ?? (I assume they did because well they're gods) Because if they did. What was Hera's role in it ? Because if he picked her as the winner, she would have a Trojan as her protégé. You know who else is a Trojan ? Ganymede ! (Thinking of him during the war destroys me.) So... Did Zeus pick Paris hoping he'd choose her ? Did Hermes do it ? Was it just the first man they saw ? So many questions...
And speaking of Trojans, Apollo kinda contributed to the doom of his own side when you think about it
Ares has an *interesting* depiction during the Iliad but it's quite funny how he was just unbothered at first to the point of changing sides because Aphrodite asked him to 😭 over his own MOTHER and sister he's whipped fr
Hypnos' appearances are funny too like his whole thing with Hera 😭 "I'm not making Zeus asleep again did you forget what happened last time ?"
*What happened last time :*

Nyx @ Zeus :

Hypnos : Yeah so I'm not doing that again
Hera : Your girlfriend in marriage
Hypnos :

"...Swear it on the Styx"
Hera : "I swear you'll have her as your wife"
Hypnos : "DEAL !"
And then him and Thanatos have to carry Sarpedon's dead body off the field because that's what being a nepo baby gets you in Ancient Greece. (Did Zeus ever know about Hypnos usung his power on him again ? Guess we'll never know)
There's also a quote I found on Theoi.com about what happens supposedly he put Zeus to sleep which I find absolutely hilarious, go check Pasithea's to see it. Hypnos is as much of a horny one as any other god 😭😭😭 that was one of the funniest euphemisms I ever read.
Just noticed I got distracted. How did I go from Ganymede's no good decade to this
Its always neoptolemus was unhinged. Neoptololemus took his father's rage and pride and doubled it. And never odysseus taught him the art of war crimes

OBSESSED with the Ambush of Dolon Calyx-krater by the Dolon Painter.

Odysseus: “hee hee hoo hoo. I’m gonna getcha.”
Dolon: :(
