Hey there! This is just a place for me and my autistic brain to share and appreciate stuff about my biggest interests and hyperfixations; these will usually be FNAF and Rise of the TMNT, but others will occasionally show up if I remember to or feel like posting. I'm new to this whole actually having a social media account thing, but maybe it won't be so bad. Age: None of your business; Gender: Nonbinary/genderfaer/jellogender; Orientation: Aromantic/demi-fictoromantic, asexual/demi-fictosexual. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. :)

I’ve never found a wallet outside of an IHOP and thought about returning it but saw the owner lived out of state so just took the cash and dropped the wallet back on the ground. ROTTMNT Appreciation Post #5: April O'Neil
What's a turtle appreciation series without April? Rise April is a turtle in all but species, a sister-in-arms to the rest of the crew. She definitely deserves that honor, for multiple reasons.

April may be the straight man of the group most of the time, but she isn't boring in any sense of the word. She's a hardcore adrenaline junkie who isn't afraid to jump into danger if her family needs help. Heck, she'll jump into danger just for fun. She isn't stupid, though. She often serves as a voice of reason, even for our resident smart guy, Donnie. Speaking of him, April's relationship with him this time around is pure wholesomeness. They have peak bff-bordering-on-sibling energy. It's awesome.

She's also hilarious. She has some witty, sassy dialogue on par with Leo and Donnie, but she also has a dorky flair to her behavior.

Despite her high energy, though, April has a softer side. If she notices that Splinter or one of the turtles is feeling down, she won't hesitate to ask what's wrong and do her best to comfort them. In turn, they're always willing to help her when she's distressed or going through a funk. Her protectiveness of Mayhem shows that she truly loves animals, and her interactions with Baron Draxum prove that her empathy is not limited to her closest friends.
In the end, April is an amazing, entertaining character who has more than earned her spot as an honorary Hamato Clan member. The Mad Dogs wouldn't be quite the same without her.
This is the last appreciation post for now because I'm TERRIBLE at drawing everyone else, but I'll pick them up again eventually.
ROTTMNT Appreciation Post #1: Raphael
Rise Raph is definitely a different beast from his other counterparts, but I absolutely love him for it.

He's such a sweet, caring older brother to the rest of the turtles. He may baby them sometimes, but you can tell that he's trying to let them be independent for the most part. He's also generally kind and altruistic. His idea of being a hero is just helping others out and protecting New York City, no fame or glory attached. He works toward that goal without expecting to be rewarded; he just loves his home. That's a heroic character if I've ever seen one.

He's also such a cinnamon roll! You'd expect his buff, six-foot-tall self to be tough and terrifying--and he certainly can be when someone hurts one of his loved ones. But if his Teddy Bear Town frequent shopper card, teddy bear onesie pajamas, and constant gushing over Mayhem are anything to go by, he loves cute stuff.
Whether he's a baby snapping turtle the size of your palm, or an absolute unit with a passion for smashing villains' faces in, Raph is sweet, loving, and wholesome. :)
ROTTMNT Appreciation Post #2: Leonardo
Like Raph, Rise Leo is very different from his previous versions. Also like Raph, I absolutely love him.

On the surface, he's a wisecracking himbo. He doesn't appear to take things as seriously as Raph or Donnie, and he definitely prefers style over substance. Ben Schwartz's legendary voice acting really helps to sell his dramatic flair. Deep down, however, he proves to have all the skills necessary to be a good leader. He's charismatic. He's intelligent and strategic. He cares for his teammates--his family. He may need help getting over his self-esteem issues (i.e. thinking he's worthless without his family), but his loved ones have his back.

Here he is performing his signature move. I couldn't resist. I'm pretty sure that, out of all the turtles, Leo dabs the most throughout the series. He's the embodiment of Gen Z chaos. He is beauty. He is grace. He will portal chop you in the face.

Another thing I adore about this version of Leo is his love of stage magic. It's so random, but it works. It really helps to round him out as a character.
In the end, though he may not be for everyone, I think Rise Leo is refreshing, lovable, and unique. Change isn't always bad. :)
ROTTMNT Appreciation Post #4: Michelangelo
Out of all the turtles, Rise Mikey is definitely the closest to how he's been written in the past. He's still got that Rise flair, though, making him that much more awesome.

Like always, Mikey is sweet and friendly. He absolutely loves his family--every single member, from Leo to April, and even Baron Draxum. He's the heart of the turtle brothers--when he isn't in "Dr. Delicate Touch" mode, of course--and an artist to boot. His artistic side really shows in Rise, with the neon stickers on his plastron, the fun faces on his kneepads, and his improvisational combat style.

Central to Mikey is his razzmatazz. He's always bursting with energy, enthusiastic to try new things or put his own spin on old traditions. His affinity for skateboarding and swinging around with his kusari-fundo really showcases his daring, athletic side. Sure, he gets scared sometimes, but he's always willing to put his fear aside in dire situations.
Speaking of dire situations, Mikey can also showcase some truly amazing strength in such cases. Both his physical capabilities and his mystic prowess are off the charts! No one should underestimate this pint-sized powerhouse! (He really is tiny, though; I think he was confirmed to be 4' 7".)
In the end, Mikey really rounds out the turtles. He has that quintessential youngest sibling energy, but he's also the emotional core of the group and an incredibly capable fighter. He really is something else.
