Yes, But Typically Only Drabbles. A Story Of Only 100 Words Is Significantly Easier To Re-read And Edit
Yes, but typically only drabbles. A story of only 100 words is significantly easier to re-read and edit than a chapter of over 1,000 words. My beta readers are usually pretty good at spotting errors or unclear passages.

OTP Writing Prompt #29

Your OTP winds up in the world of one of their favorite Studio Ghibli films. Which film is it, and what do they do?
Yep, guilty as charged!

Me, I am bitches
Catlike characters again? Gladly!
Zartan and Snake Eyes would both be fiercely independent strays who come and go as they please. Zartan and his fellow strays fight dogs, while Snake Eyes is more a rat and snake killer. Among their most serious fights which result in the most injuries are their turf wars with each other.

(A depiction of Zartan and Snake Eyes calmly debating the virtues of Harley Davidson versus Yamaha.)
This poll was submitted to us. If you’d like to send us your own scenario (plus different ways a character might react to said scenario) so we could make a poll for you, feel free to send them to our inbox.
After My Post About Zartan Being a Cat Person, I’m Cooking Up a Little Something for AO3
I’ve been missing my sister’s cats and need to get back into writing again, so this is the perfect opportunity.
Can’t guarantee it will be very long (it will probably be more a vignette than anything), but it’s an old headcanon I developed with my sister back when I would obsess over comic characters with her, and I’m feeling very nostalgic lately.
Will post a link when finished!
(Oh, and @radarsdomain, I would love to see your drawing of Zartan when you’re done. Glad I could give you some inspiration!)
Writer Problems
Beginning a story is one of the hardest parts. I have the general shape of the thing, but don’t know how to begin. So many entry points, each with its own pros and cons. I’m sure it will come to me. As one of my old professors said, writing is 90% gray matter work, and 10% writing.
The two other hardest parts are the middle and the ending. So basically all of it.
As Thomas Mann said, “A writer is someone for whom writing is more difficult than it is for other people.”
But once you get it right, it is rewarding in a way nothing else is. That’s why I keep coming back to it!
