Requested - Yes - Can you do a Dean Forester x reader fake dating au? Like after Dean and Rory broke up Jess broke up with the reader, then Rory started dating Jess and the reader and Dean were both really hurt, and they start fake dating to spite Rory and Jess (and give Stars hollow something to really gossip about) but things are going really well and they end up helping each other get full scholarships and at some point Dean is like "fuck it, I accidentally fell in love with u, can we date for real?"
Prompts - Fake dating
You had to admit that you weren’t all too shocked when Jess left you for Rory after the dramatic breakup between Rory and Dean. You were there to witness Dean finally lose his temper and snap, you couldn’t blame him, Rory clearly knew she had feelings for Jess but continued dragging Dean along because Jess was otherwise occupied. Though you hated what Jess had done to you, leaving you feeling used, there was a part of you that still wanted him back.
Maybe that was the reason for this quite frankly insane plan you and Dean had come up with. The two of you had only spoken a hand full of times, Rory wasn’t exactly your biggest fan to begin with and then Jess began hating Dean, there just hadn’t been a good opportunity since he came to the small town of Stars Hollow but now there was. The two of you had pretty much all your classes together and you watched as Dean came in, looking about as good as you felt. The lack of sleep was clearly visible and he just radiated sadness, the same went for you though. Along with the sadness and hurt both of you felt, there was also a deep feeling of embarrassment, both break ups had been rather public and of course gossip spread like wild fire in a town like this.
“Hey Y/N.” Dean had shocked you one day by joining you under a shaded tree that hid you rather well from the rest of the school. Dean had smiled at you confused expression before asking if he could join you.
“Hi Dean, um, yeah, sure.” You’d manage to reply, honestly confused as to why the ex-boyfriend of your ex-boyfriends girlfriend would want to talk to you.
“Listen, I just wanted to say I know how you’re feeling. It sucks, right, but if you ever need to talk to someone, someone who won’t use it as gossip and have it around the town within the hour then just know I’m here.”
That’s how it started. The sincerity in his voice had you believing him and it wasn’t long before you two were sat under the tree hashing out the details.
“Hold on, you want us to fake date?” You’d asked when he brought the idea up one break time.
“I just think that it’ll get some sort of reaction out of them, make them jealous. I mean Rory doesn’t like you and Jess, well we all know how he feels about me.” Dean said with a sarcastic laugh, causing you to smile. “Say no if you want to but I don’t know, it could be interesting.”
“Dean,” You began, upon first hearing the idea it was absurd but the more you thought about how much Jess and Rory had hurt you two, the more it seemed like a good idea. “Let me think about it?” You asked causing him to nod immediately.
“Of course, please take your time. I’ll see you later, Y/N.” You watched as Dean walked away with a slight frown on your face as you thought about what he had said.

It was a week before you’d talk to Dean again. You hadn’t planned on talking to him but you saw him through the window of Luke’s alone and made up your mind then and there.
“May I join you?” You asked as you made your way over to him. Dean looked up from the work he was doing in surprise, only to smile a moment later.
“Y/N! Yes, please have a seat.” He said, gesturing to the seat opposite him.
“What can I get for you, Y/N?” Luke asked before you had the chance to open your mouth. You quickly ordered your regular and turned back to Dean as Luke left.
“So, what’s up?” He asked, fiddling with his pen.
“I’ll be your fake girlfriend.” You told him quietly with a grin. He looked at you for a moment as if working out whether you were being honest before he grinned back at you.
Luke brought you your drink and quickly filled Dean’s up before leaving and before you knew it two and a half hours had passed and you and Dean were still sat in the diner, getting to know one another.
It struck you that Jess had never bothered to get to know the little things about you that Dean was asking about but you pushed that thought from your mind as quickly as it had come.
“Well I should probably go, I didn’t mean to stay this long and I still have that English homework to get done.” You groaned causing Dean to laugh.
“C’mon, I’ll walk you out. I’ve got work anyway.”
As luck would have it as the two of you rounded the corner, Lorelai and Rory nearly walked into you. Whilst Lorelai apologised, you and Dean doing the same, Rory just looked between you and Dean before settling on a glare.
“Well that went well.” You laughed once the pair walked into Luke’s, Dean laughing along with you. “I’ll see you tomorrow then, yeah?” You asked.
“Yeah. You want to meet up here and get some coffee before school?”
“I’d love to.” With that the two of you went your separate ways not noticing the glare Rory was giving you from the diner.

“Did you hear the news?” Babette asked Lorelai one morning, two weeks after you and Dean agreed to fake date.
“No, what news?” Lorelai asked as she leaned against the counter at Luke’s. Luke listened too though not making it obvious and Jess glanced over from were he was talking to Rory.
“Well,” Babette started with a hesitant look towards the young couple, “I heard from Patty, who heard from Joe, who heard from Tom, that Dean and Y/N are dating! I mean can you believe it!” She exclaimed, not noticing the dark look on Rory’s face and the eye roll and mask of indifference on Jess’.
“Wait, Y/N and Dean? As in Rory’s ex boyfriend and Jess’ ex girlfriend?” Lorelai asked, shock clear in her voice.
“Oh my thoughts exactly, doll, I mean who’d have thought it? Anyway, I gotta go, Morey’s expecting me back any moment. See you soon sugars.” And with that Babette left, leaving everyone with different thoughts running through their heads.

Dean and you were sat in Luke’s, both noting how Jess glared at the two of you and pointedly ignored your table. Luke rolled his eyes before taking your orders.
Dean had told you on your walk over to Luke’s about how Rory had shown up at his window, how her apology seemed self-centred and how Rory said she loved him. Dean had sent her away, furious at her for even showing up.
You couldn’t blame him for his anger, especially not when Jess had cornered you when you were leaving the market spouting all the right words of how much he liked you, how Dean was no good.
It was safe to say the urge to slap him was real. How dare he say Dean was no good for you when he ditched you the moment Rory left Dean.
“So, were are we up to?” Dean asked as he moved his chair closer to you, neither of you noticing Rory, Lorelai and Sookie entering the diner and sitting at the opposite end.
“Ugh math.” You told him with a grimace. The two of you were taking this extra time together to help each other with school work, focusing on topics the other wasn’t so good at and teaching it until it made sense.
You had helped Dean with English and science, helping to come up with easy ways to memorise important passages of texts or formulas. Whereas Dean was helping you with math, the one subject that you needed to raise your grade in order to even have a chance at the colleges you were looking at.
Dean had confided in you he hadn’t thought much about college, not knowing what he wanted to do. You in turn helped him research different colleges and he eventually found a few with courses that interested him. Now that you both had a vague idea of what you wanted it was easy to set targets and help each other.
“C’mon now,” Dean laughed, wrapping his arm around you as you pressed your forehead to his shoulder with a groan, “you’re getting better.”
“No I’m not. I’m gonna fail, there’s no hope.” You pouted over dramatically causing him to laugh louder before pressing a subconscious kiss to your head.
“No, you won’t. You wouldn’t let me fail and I won’t let you.” He told you, voice hard with determination.
“Fine, fine. Let the torture begin.” You groaned but shot him a grin.
As the two of you pulled your books out you missed the way Rory and Jess glared at you.
“I can’t keep up, one minute your falling all over Jess whilst you were with the nicest guy ever and now that you’re with Jess you want Dean back.” Lorelai said with an eye roll as she watched Rory.
“What?” Rory jumped, finally looking away from you two. “I don’t want him back, it’s just, I don’t know.” She finished weakly, slumping down in her seat.
“You have to pick, Rory. I told you that when you were dating Dean and you picked Jess.”
“He broke up with me!” Rory protested weakly.
“Because he saw the way you were with Jess, he knew you liked him and no matter how hard that boy tried he knew he couldn’t carry on like that.” Lorelai argued, knowing she was right.
Rory just rolled her eyes before grabbing her bag and walking out of Luke’s. You and Dean were oblivious to the whole thing as you sat close enough together that your foreheads were touching with Dean praising you with every bit of progress you’d made.

It wasn’t long before exam season finally rolled around and you were stressed. Every free moment was spent in either your bedroom, Luke’s diner, the library or Dean’s bedroom studying.
Currently you were on the floor of Dean’s bedroom, books and loose sheets of paper surrounded you. Dean was in the same position on his bed. It wasn’t long before you let out a loud groan, throwing your head back against the bed and rubbing your eyes.
Dean climbed off the bed before sitting next to you. He wrapped his arm around you, pulling you close with concern in his eyes.
“You ok?” He asked softly, frowning as you shook your head whilst mumbling about failing into his shoulder.
“Hey, you’re not going to fail, ok, you know this. Watch,” he said, whilst pulling away from you and searching through your pile of paper before finding a deck of study cards. “Ok, the ratification of the eighteenth amendment led to what?" Dean asked.
“It led to a ban on the manufacturer and sale of the alcoholic beverages.” You said, biting you lip before grinning at Dean’s nod.
“Perfect!” He exclaimed with his own grin, “Which president signed the Antipoverty Act into law?” He questioned, watching as your smile grew.
“Lyndon B Johnson.” You answered confidently, causing him to laugh.
“See you know it!” He told you, “Ok, so if A equals 1,2,3 and B equals 3,4,5, how many sections are in the intersection of A and B?” He asked. You bite your lip as the question ran through your head.
“One?” You questioned and upon seeing him nod you relaxed slightly.
“Good!” He praised and that’s how the next half hour was spent.
“Ok, my turn to question you!” You told him as you reached up for his set of cards.
“Ok, so within a specified period, an increase in atomic number is usually accompanied by what?" Watching as Dean squinted, his head titling slightly to the right in concentration, you couldn’t help but think of how cute he looked. Your eyes widened at the thought, shaking your head just as Dean answered.
‘A decrease in atomic radius and an increase in electronegativity.” He replied nervously.
“Yes!” You beamed up at him and he couldn’t resist smiling back.
The two of you quizzed each other until you feel asleep. You with your head on Dean’s shoulder, Dean with his head resting on yours.

The morning after the two of you had woken up late and quickly rushed to get ready. You had no other clothes and had no time to run home so ended up in yesterdays jeans and one of Dean’s shirts that, whilst tucked in still looked ridiculously big. Though Dean admitted, if only to himself, that he liked the look of you in his clothes.
The pair of you rushed to the school, skipping your morning drinks at Luke’s for the first time since you started ‘dating’. Everyone congregated outside of the hall to sit the first exam of the day; Math.
Dean watched from his position of leaning against the wall as you paced back and forth, muttering different equations to yourself. It wasn’t long before he pulled you into his arms, you relaxing slightly with a second thought.
“You got this.” He told you sincerely, leaning down to kiss your forehead.
“I hope you’re right.” You whispered as you were let into the hall.
“Good luck.” You told him, leaning up on your toes to kiss his cheek.
“You too, Y/N/N.”

Two exams down and you were sat outside on a bench waiting for Dean, whilst your math exam was at the same time, he had an English exam that started later than yours.
You sat with your laptop, finishing the last of your college application letters and had them sent off. You’d applied for two ivy league schools just on the off chance you did get accepted, those being Yale and Princeton, though you had also applied to Stanford, NYU, Michigan and Chicago. It was a relief knowing that they were sent off and now all you had to worry about was the exams themselves.
“Hey there.” You leaned your head back to see Dean smiling down at you, looking relaxed for the first time all day.
“Hey! How was the exam?” You asked, knowing how much he was dreading it.
“Honestly, I think it went pretty well but that’s only thanks to all the extra help I’ve been getting.” He grinned at you, leaning forward to peck your lips. “Whatcha doing?” Dean asked leaning his head on yours.
“I just finished sending all my college applications off.” You said letting out a breath of relief.
“I need to send mine off tonight.” He told you as he stood up, holding his hand out for you which you happily took and he led you to the diner.
“Are you working tonight?” You asked him, frowning slightly when he nodded.
“Yeah but Taylor’s letting me go early because I told him I need to study.” The conversation drifted off into talk of the science and lit exams tomorrow before Dean was leaving for work, leaning over and kissing you first.
“What are you doing with him?” Jess asked as he sat himself in the chair Dean had been occupying.
“Excuse me?” You asked, lifting the mug to your mouth. Luke watched from the counter, ready to step in if Jess upset you.
“I mean, Dean, seriously? You could do so much better.” He told you, slouched in the chair like he didn’t care.
“What’s going on there?” Lorelai asked Luke as she approached the counter.
“Dean just left and now Jess is bothering her.” Luke summed up as he poured her a cup of coffee. “Really?” You asked, voice loud enough for everyone in the diner to hear. “You mean like you, the guy who ditched me the moment Rory and Dean split up? Yeah I’m sure Dean’s a real downgrade. I gotta tell you though being with Dean has been so much better than being with you. If you ask me, I think Gilmore’s the one who got the downgrade.” With that you stood, scooping your laptop into your hands and walked out of the diner with your head held high.
It was safe to say your outburst was the talk of the town that evening.

“What a jerk.” Dean replied once you saw him the next day.
“Right.” You said. The two of you were sat on a patch of grass in his garden leaning against one another. One thing that had bothered you from your meeting with Jess yesterday was how you meant every word; being with Dean was so much better. At some point the kisses and hand holding for the public had turned into second nature responses, half the time you forgot you weren’t really dating.
“Anyway it’s fine. Honestly, I was over him a long time ago.” You said causing Dean to smile. “Did you send your applications in?” Dean told you he had and told you which colleges he had decided on, most of them were community colleges but one caught your attention.
“Stanford!” You exclaimed. “You applied for Stanford! Dean, that’s amazing.” You had known Dean had been debating it but eventually decided against it due to him doubting himself despite your protesting and praising. The fact that he had even decided to apply was big.
“Okay, okay, calm down.” He laughed, “I haven’t got in yet. Hell, I doubt I will but it didn’t hurt to apply and-” You cut Dean off with a kiss before pulling back with a grin.
“It’s amazing Dean, they’ll be foolish to turn you down.” You told him, causing him to pull you in for another kiss.
It didn’t occur to either of you that no one was around to see it.
-
-
-
“I got them.” You said into your phone. Currently you were walking to the town centre with six college admission letters in your hand. Dean and you had decided to wait until you both had all your letters until opening them.
“Me too, I’ll meet you under the gazebo.” Dean said before the two of you hung up.
You were so anxious. The fate of your future laid in your hands, literally. By the time you got to the gazebo you were pale and shaking.
“Hey, hey, sit down.” Dean said, taking your free hand and pulling you to sit on the bench. He helped you breath properly before talking to you.
“Whatever happens you’ll be fine, I promise.” He told you. You nodded at him before taking a deep breath.
“Ready?” You asked.
“Ready.” He confirmed.
The first letter came from Princeton, it was a rejection letter. Though you were expecting it, not really wanting the Ivy league ones but applying just to see. It disheartened you but you set it aside.
Dean opened his and saw he was accepted into Southern Connecticut State.
The second letter came from NYU and you grinned once you saw the acceptance.
Dean’s second letter was also an acceptance.
The third and fourth informed you both that you had gotten into the colleges.
You opened the fifth letter and were shocked to find you had been accepted into Yale. Dean grinned at you as you stared in disbelief. Realistically you knew you weren’t picking that college, purely on financial matters alone but also you weren’t an ivy league school person.
Dean and you both had one envelope left; Stanford.
The two of you stared in shock as you read you had both been offered a full ride scholarship.
“Y/N!” Dean exclaimed pulling you up and into a tight hug. Your arms wrapped around him as you took in the words; the college you had most wanted had not only accepted you but given you a full ride.
You were pulled out of your thoughts as you felt Dean kiss you passionately, when he pulled away the two of you were panting as he leaned his forehead against yours.
“Screw this, Y/N.” He said pulling away causing you to frown. “I can’t do this fake dating anymore, somewhere along the way I fell in love with you. Will you be my girlfriend? For real this time?” He asked with a slight laugh, causing you to grin and nod, an exclamation of yes leaving your mouth before Dean pulled you into another kiss.
“I love you too.” You whispered as he pulled back.
Dean just grinned at you before kissing you again, loving that he could now knowing his feelings were reciprocated and it wasn’t just for show.
-
-
The two of you had found an apartment not far from the campus but far enough away that it was still considerably cheap. It wasn’t the greatest place but it was yours and Dean’s home. You took a job in the college library and Dean picked up a job in the cafeteria.
The two of you settled into living together rather well, obviously there were a few arguments here and there but moving out of the small gossiping town of Stars Hollow had done you both the world of good.
Dean was studying engineering at an advanced level and you were finally studying what you wanted and loved it.
The two of you had never been happier and even though it was all thanks to your ex’s and Dean’s fake dating idea, you wouldn’t have changed it for the world.

Requested - Yes - Anon - Can I have a fake dating au with james potter but also with focus on sirius & reader if that’s ok? thank you.
Prompts - fake dating
You knew this was a bad idea.
It was a terribly, horrible, utterly stupid idea.
Yet you still said yes.
You knew you’d be the one to suffer, the one to get hurt, because of this idea but you also knew from the minute it was proposed that you wouldn’t be able to say no. Not only because you had fancied James Potter since second year but also because you’d never been able to resist those puppy dog eyes.
You had always known how much James had liked Lily, always had to listen to him pining about her for hours at a time. You suspected Sirius and Remus knew about your crush as they often tried their hardest to get him to shut up, though once he got started on the subject of Lily Evans there really was no silencing him; short of using a silencing charm.
You had just left the library after a few hours of studying when James Potter had appeared with an overly friendly smile on his face, giving away straight away that he wanted something. You rolled your eyes, expecting to get pulled into a prank of some sort.
“What now, Potter? I’m still serving detentions for your last bloody prank.” You told him, smiling as he laughed and threw his arm around your shoulders. This wasn’t uncommon for him to do but it always made you fight back a blush.
“Ah c’mon, Y/N, don’t be like that.” He continued to laugh before shaking his head. “Don’t worry, this time it isn’t a prank. Actually, I’ve been thinking-” He began but was cut off by you snorting. “Hey, they’re not all bad ideas! Anyway, I want you to be my girlfriend.”
The words made you stop in your tracks causing James to stumble as his arm was still around you. Your eyes widened as you looked at him like he’d grown an extra head.
“I’m sorry?” You said for lack of anything else to say. Your mind was working a mile a minute but you weren’t able to make much sense of it, yet alone say something cohesive.
“Not my real girlfriend obviously.” He continued, seemingly unaware of the mess inside your head. “Just my pretend one, you know to make Lily jealous.”
You knew you should say no, knew that nothing good could come of this for you. You knew it would end in heartbreak and you didn’t want to do anything that would jeopardize your friendship with James.
“James,” You began, fully intent on telling him that you couldn't do it but James seemed to pick up on your tone and immediately widened his eyes, looking at you like a wounded puppy.
“Please Y/N/N, I’ll owe you one forever. I really think this will work.” He pleaded with a pout, “Please, I really like her.”
With a sigh you gave in, not thinking about how easily you did.
“Fine, I’ll help you.”

Two weeks of dating James Potter was torture.
Ok maybe you were being slightly dramatic but the point still stood. Fake dating James meant you had all the luxuries of being his actual girlfriend whilst a voice in your head screamed at you that he didn’t actually like you.
He walked you to classes, held your hand, kissed your cheek, cuddled with you on the sofa and everything else one would do with a partner. Hell, the two of you had even gone on a fake date which had been one of your favourite times during Hogwarts and the worst.
You had, however, noticed that Lily did seem to be taking more of an interest in James, always finding a way to get close to him, having him teach her things about Quidditch despite not caring one bit for the sport. She found any and every excuse to be his partner in classes, leaving you with Peter which usually ended in disaster, especially in potions where you were both equally as bad as each other.
Your mood since fake dating James was unpredictable, one moment you were happy and smiling in the company of your friends and the next, when reality sunk in, you wanted to be as far away from everyone as possible.
Right now you were feeling like the latter and found your way down to the black lake one afternoon when classes were over. Your mood all day had been foul but you plastered on a smile that didn’t hide anything and continued with your act.
You knew it was going to come to an end soon, these past few days James had been attached to Lily’s side and you were shocked by just how bad it hurt to see them together.
Sitting down with your back against a rock, you stared ahead at the horizon. It was a beautiful day, usually a day like today would find you, Sirius, Remus, James and Peter sprawled out under a tree enjoying each other's company, planning pranks or completing homework that was due the next day.
Today, you were sitting alone staring at the black water that stretched for miles and it seemed fitting.
It wasn’t long until you were interrupted by somebody sitting down next to you and wrapping their arm around you, pulling you into their chest.
“I’m sorry.” Were the words that it took for you to start crying. Usually you refused to let yourself cry over something as silly as a boy but right now you didn’t care.
Sirius looked down at you crying on his chest and frowned. He knew how much you liked James, he knew the two of you would make the best couple if only James could pull his head out of his arse and realise the girl who actually cared about him had been right in front of him since they were eleven.
Sirius had watched you silently pine for years, watched you listen to James go on and on about Lily and he tried to point James in your direction but the boy was too oblivious.
Watching Lily fawn over James when she thought he had moved on was infuriating for all the Marauders to watch. Lily liked having James there, she liked having someone like her the way James did and it made them want to smack James round the head so he realised it too.
Sirius couldn’t say how long he sat holding you in his arms, eventually you had stopped crying but made no move to get off him and he wasn’t complaining. You were his best friend along with the other three boys, he loved you like a sister and seeing you like this hurt him.
“I really like him.” You confessed quietly, feeling a weight lift from you as you admitted it aloud for the first time.
“I know you do.” Sirius replied just as quietly.
“Lily doesn't care for him.”
“No, no, I don’t think she does. I think she quite likes the idea of James always there, maybe as a backup or just as an admirer, but she doesn’t care for him.” Sirius agreed.
“Why couldn’t I have just fancied you? Or Moony?” You groaned, tilting your head back so you could pout up at him.
Sirius laughed, his eyes lighting up as he did.
“Well nobody said you had good taste. Just be thankful it’s Prongs and not good ol’ Wormtail.” The two of you laughed as you scrunch your nose at the thought.
As tea time was nearing the two of you didn’t want to move but the need for food outweighed the peaceful atmosphere the two of you created.
“You ready?” Sirius asked as he pulled you up, his arm immediately going back around your shoulder.
You took a deep breath before shaking your head, “no.”
-
A week later and you and James had ‘broken up’.
He began dating Lily almost immediately after and you avoided him like the plague. Despite avoiding him you continued to watch him from a distance, noticing that he didn’t look half as happy as one would expect after getting with their crush since third year.
At first you thought you were the only one to pick up on it before Sirius said something, the other Marauders agreed and then some of the Gryffindors started whispering about it too.
Three weeks into James’ real relationship with Lily found James Potter hunched over a map that showed every student. His eyebrows were knitted together as he searched for one name in particular, his eyes lighting up as he read Y/F/N Y/L/N.
“Oi!” Sirius called as James darted for the door, “Where are you going?”
James didn’t bother to reply, instead he ran down the stairs and out of the common room. Quickly he found you wandering the corridors, just coming from Professor McGonagall’s classroom.
He was no idiot, he knew you were avoiding. Ok maybe he was an idiot because he didn’t know why. All he knew was that three weeks of actually dating Lily had left him feeling odd, he felt like he should enjoy her company more, should’ve liked kissing her and holding her hand more but for some reason he couldn’t get you out of his mind. The weeks he had spent fake dating you meant more to him than his relationship with Lily.
He tried, oh boy had he tried, but after the first week he knew something was wrong. Two weeks in it struck him that he liked you and three weeks in was when he finally had the nerve to break up with a furious Lily Evans.
Now all he had to do was convince you he was the biggest idiot in Hogwarts, not like that would be hard to achieve, and convince you what an awful mistake he had made.
“Y/N!” James called causing you to stop in your tracks. You debated whether you could walk away but eventually curiosity won over.
“James.” You said, voice void of any emotion.
“Listen,” He began, a hand coming up to nervously rub the back of his neck, he looked around and gestured to the empty classroom, “can we talk?”
After you mumbled a yes James turned and held the door open for you.
“I broke up with Lily.” He said abruptly after a few moments of silence.
Your head shot up to look at him as your eyes widened in shock. All James ever spoke about was Lily and now that he finally had her, he’d broken up with her?
“I broke up with Lily.” He said again, “three weeks with her and she never once made me feel anything special but you, Merlin Y/N, a couple of weeks fake dating you had me feeling like I could do anything, like I could be anything. I could’ve punched myself when I realised I liked you, all this time I’ve been pining over Lily and for what? For the girl I actually like, for the girl who actually makes me happy, for the girl who’s been by my side since the day we stepped foot into this castle to be right in front of me this entire time. Merlin’s beard, Y/N, I’m such an idiot but I want nothing more than to be your idiot.”
You were lost for words, it took a moment for James’ words to register in your mind and you prayed this wasn’t a joke, no, you thought, James wasn’t that cruel. Time ticked by as you struggled to form an answer, obviously you wanted nothing more than to say yes but you couldn’t help but have doubts.
“Y/N?” James asked after a minute or two had passed.
“Sorry.” You mumbled before looking back at him. “James, surely you don’t mean this. I mean Lily-” You began but he cut you off.
“I liked the idea of Lily but let's face it she never liked me. That doesn’t mean I’m turning to you as a last resort or a backup or whatever else you’re thinking. This is me realising that i was a bloody idiot and that fake dating you was the best thing I’ve ever done.”
You couldn’t help the blush or the small smile that made its way onto your face and James’ face lit up as he saw it too and he grinned at you.
“Well we can both agree on one thing, you are a great, big idiot.” You said causing him to laugh and you couldn’t help but join in.
“But I’m your idiot, right Y/L/N?”
“Right Potter.” You said with a grin off your own.
James was more than happy to kiss the smile off your face and you had no complaints either.

Prompts - Can you do a fluffy Dean Forester x reader?
You let out a sigh as you collapsed into a chair at Luke’s. The entire day had just gone from bad to worse in a matter of hours, starting with your alarm not going off causing you to over sleep and then a fight with your parents that caused you to storm out without the books you needed and then you’d received not one but two surprise tests that would affect your overall grade and you had just known you’d done terrible in. Then at lunch there was the regular high school drama that you had somehow been dragged in to before you could get away to the library and your class just before lunch had announced there would be a group assignment. Those were the worst, you ended up taking control and doing the entire assignment alone and putting the others names on it otherwise you knew without a doubt your grades would plummet.
You were glad to get a few moments alone and sat with your head in your arms for a second before sitting up straight.
“Rough day?” A gruff voice asked.
“Understatement.” You sighed, looking up at Luke who wore a sympathetic look.
“The regular then?” He asked and you nodded, thanking him as he walked away.
Being in Luke’s had always managed to calm you down, the atmosphere of the place worked to soothe your anxiety and troubles and in here with the smell of food, coffee, tea and hot chocolate you could forget about the world beyond those doors.
“On the house.” Luke said, a hint of a smile on his face, as he set your regular drink down and a muffin which you hadn’t ordered. You told him as much.
“Yeah, well, you look like you could use it.” He said before walking off.
“Thank you!” You called to him but he just waved a tea towel in your direction.
You had managed to drink half your drink and eat your muffin in peace before you were interrupted by a tall kid. You recognised him as the new kid from Chicago but couldn’t place his name, though you had heard about how supposedly dreamy he was from most girls in school.
“Um, hi.” He said as he approached your table hesitantly.
“Hi?” You asked, looking up at him.
You could see what all those girls had meant when they called him dreamy. He was the perfect poster boy for a high school crush, tall, fit, probably played sport. The hair looked perfect for running your fingers through and his smile made him look adorable.
“I’m Dean.” He introduced himself, taking a step closer. “I missed class today but I stopped by after school to get the work and Miss Collins told me that we’re partners for an assignment.” You barely held in your sigh, the entire day had been exhausting and now you had to talk about this assignment rather than do what you wanted to do which was sit alone in Luke’s for half an hour more before going home and collapsing in to bed. Instead of doing any of that though, you smiled and gestured to the seat across from you.
“I’m Y/N.” You introduced yourself as he sat down and beamed at you. Even you had to admit it was a pretty smile. “So, I already made a plan up for what we could do but I’m open to suggestions.” You lied. You had spent your break in the library once you finished up in the cafeteria and made a plan for yourself, believing that your group partner would bail on you.
You watched as Dean read over your work, eyes scanning every bit of the page before he looked back up at you.
“This is great.” He told you, “You pick whatever bits you’re happy to do and I’ll take the rest.” Dean told you causing your eyebrows to shoot up. Never in your many years in the education system had someone actually offered to do the work with you, by now you had a reputation of taking over so much so that people wanted to work with you just so they could slack off. “I’m guessing not a lot of people make that offer.” Dean prompted with a laugh.
“The complete opposite actually, they tend to expect me to do the work, which I do because I care about my grades and college is important to me.” You told him, causing him to nod.
The two of you sat together and went over the schedule you had produced, going through who wanted to take each sub topic and dividing the work amongst you. Luke had stopped by to swap out your cold drink for a new one and gave Dean a coffee.
Eventually Dean had to excuse himself as he had work. Your eyes widened as you realised, you’d been sat there for an hour and a half, the schedule long complete and the two of you moving on to talk that was not school related. The two of you had gotten to know each other, you knew he had a sister and why they had moved to small town Stars Hollow, he knew you couldn’t wait to leave and go to college, though you would miss Luke’s. You spoke of your favourite shows, books and music without realising how much time had passed.
“I liked hanging out with you, Y/N.” And the way he said your name made you smile softly in a way you couldn’t recall doing before.
“Me too.” You told him and meant it. It had been a while since you had actually enjoyed spending time with someone your age, finding most of them too immature or too concerned with their image. You liked to be by yourself but something about Dean made you want to spend more time with him.
“Maybe we can meet here tomorrow after school?” He asked shyly, reaching up to brush his hair behind his ear causing your smile to grow.
“Yeah, that’d be good.” You told him, concerned by how true those words were.
The two of you said your goodbyes and you watched as he walked out of Luke’s. Identical smiles playing on both your faces.
“Seriously, that guy?” You jumped when you heard Luke snort from next to you as he began cleaning the cups away and you scooped your papers into your bag.
“What do you mean that guy?” You asked with an eye roll, “There is no that guy, we’re partners on an assignment.” You told him as you stood up, swinging your bag onto your shoulder.
“Whatever you say, kid.” Luke laughed as you left throwing a goodbye over your shoulder.

And so it went with you and Dean meeting each other after school. The meetings went from every other day to finish the assignment, though admittedly that got pushed to the side after an hour of work and the two of you ended up talking about one another, to daily occurrences. The two of you would meet up after school and walk over to Luke’s to enjoy each other’s company. The two of you sat in there for hours and if it wasn’t for Dean’s shift at the market or your shift at Luke’s where you actually had to work and ‘not sit and talk to the pretty boy’ according to Luke, then the two of you would’ve stayed there for the whole night.
At some point you started spending time at Dean’s house and him at yours. The two of you had movie nights and were content to relax in each other’s company, either enjoying the peaceful silence or asking five hundred questions as the movies played, forgotten in the background.
“This is so bad; how do you watch it?” You laughed as you leaned against him. The two of you were laying on his bed as he played some movie you’d long forgotten the name off. All you knew was there were badly edited monsters and a whole lot of goo.
“What are you talking about?” He exclaimed with a grin, “This is a masterpiece!”
“Dean, I can see the microphone in the corner of the screen and I’m pretty sure that’s a stick that is moving the monster in the other corner.” You continued to laugh as he shoved you and grumbled under his breath.
“Fine, fine.” He said, stretching until he grabbed the remote and handed it to you. “You pick something but please God do not put another film like the one you had on the other day.” He begged you with his puppy dog eyes.
“First of all, that was a classic and I’m shocked you’ve never seen it.” You said as you pointed the remote at him causing him to grin. “Secondly, shush.”
You quickly put on a random movie, both of you admitting you hadn’t seen it before. Dean lay down slightly, shifting as he got comfortable, and you didn’t hesitate before laying your head on his chest and cuddling close to him.
“Hey.” He whispered half way through the movie. The two of you were laying fully on the bed now, rather than just reclined, and the room was dark, the only light coming from the tv.
“Hey.” You whispered back, watching as he lifted a hand to your face and felt as he brushed a strand of your hair away.
“Y/N, I really like you.” Dean confessed into the darkness. You could see him biting his lip, his eyes wide as he resembled a puppy, nervously awaiting your response.
You smiled and lifted your hand to rest on the one that was cupping your cheek. You felt him tense and then relax and your hand didn’t push his away.
“I really like you too.” You admitted, butterflies dancing madly in your stomach. You watched as Dean’s face lit up, a smile playing on his lips before he leaned forward. You leaned in too but stopped when he did.
“Can I kiss you?” He asked in a whisper and all you could do was nod before he brought your lips together in a soft kiss.
It was your first, but definitely not the last for that night, kiss. It felt like all the clichés rolled together, fireworks, butterflies, nobody else in the world, all of them described the kiss perfectly.
“Will you please be my girlfriend?” He asked as he played with your hair, bringing you in for another kiss. You managed to breath a ‘yes’ out before he kissed you again and again.
That night the two of you fell asleep with wide smiles and bruised lips.

You and Dean walked into Luke’s the next afternoon just after school had finished hand in hand with matching smiles. As you entered Luke looked between your locked hands and rolled his eyes at both of you as you sat at the counter.
“So, you two finally realised you’ve been dating for months?” Luke asked as he started on your drinks. You rolled your eyes and Dean laughed and wrapped an arm around your shoulders.
“Yeah, I guess we did.” He answered before leaning down to kiss you.
“Hey, no kissing at the counter.” Luke interrupted as he turned around to give you your drinks causing you to laugh against Dean.
“Technically that’s not a rule.” You said pointing to his list of rules with a smirk.
You watched as Luke scowled at you but you could see the hint of happiness behind it.
“I say it’s a rule, it’s a rule.” He told you, pointing a finger at you causing you to raise your hands in surrender.
“No kissing at the counter.” You agreed with a laugh.
You and Dean stayed at the counter for an hour, laughing and talking before Dean had to go to work. Since tomorrow was Saturday the two of you decided it was the perfect time for a first date, though apparently it wasn’t technically the first as you had both been dating for months before realising. Dean told you he’d pick you up tomorrow at 12 before giving you a kiss and leaving.
“No kissing at the counter!” You and Luke shouted at the same time causing Dean to laugh his way out of the door.
You watched as he left with a smile on your face before turning to Luke who was smiling at you.
“I’m happy for you, kid.” He told you honestly.
“Thank you.” You smiled before getting up to get ready for work, already thinking about what Dean had planned for tomorrow.

Pairings - Jensen Ackles & Daughter reader
Requested - anon - reader misses jensen (her dad) more than she realises and goes to a con and just soft fluff please (if you can link last nights episode in some how then that’d be great) Love your work!!!
Prompts - None.
You sat in your bedroom curled up under the covers of your bed with your TV playing in the background, snacks lay scattered around you as you scrolled through Twitter. You were waiting for the newest episode of Supernatural to air, knowing that your dad had worked so hard on it as director for that episode. You also knew that one of his songs from his upcoming album with Steve was going to be on it.
You hadn’t even seen the episode yet but you already had such an overwhelming feeling of pride for your dad, remembering how shy he had been once upon a time when performing in front of an audience and now he was hours away from releasing an album and having a song of his featured on the show he had dedicated such a huge part of his life to.
“Because I kind of hate me right now.” God spoke causing you to roll your eyes and mutter a sarcastic “tragic” under your breath. As much as you hated Chuck, you could help the smile as you watched Rob’s acting, he was incredible. It had been a while since you had seen him and other members of the cast, maybe you’d ask your dad if you could go to one of the upcoming conventions soon.
Tears filled your eyes as you watched Sam and Dean talk in the impala, turning to a watery glare as the scene changed to Chuck writing the story. You had no idea how Supernatural was going to end, your dad had offered to tell you some secrets but you refused. You’d been watching the show for a long time now and wanted to experience the final season along with every other fan, wanted to go on Twitter and tweet about your actual reactions, wanted to be shocked when an old face was reintroduced or cry like you had when Rowena had died.
Once the show ended it didn’t take long before your phone lit up with an incoming FaceTime call, you grinned as you saw your dad was the caller.
“Hey Y/N/N!” Your dad greeted as the call connected.
“Hey dad, you did such an amazing job directing that episode!” You told him sincerely, a giant grin on your face as you continued to praise him. “And the song! Dad, it fit so well! God, I’m so proud of you. I can’t wait until the album comes out tonight.” You had heard a few songs from the album, your dad had wanted to share them with you.
Some nights when you couldn’t sleep you’d wonder the house and find him in the living room or sat out in the back garden with his guitar and a notebook in front of him. He’d play you songs to help you drift back to sleep and you woke up the next day either on the couch cuddled up with him or in your own room wrapped tightly in your blankets.
“Yeah? You really think it was that good or you just saying that?” He teased, a grin on his own face as he took in the compliments you were giving him. To him there was no better reward than seeing his family happy, sure the awards they won on the show were great but seeing that pure look of happiness on your face couldn’t compare.
“Dad!” You laughed, “It was amazing, I promise! Everyone is raving about your directing and for good reason to. And Chuck in that episode, I swear I hate him so much but Rob- I love him and his acting is amazing.”
“Hey, what about me?” You heard a voice shout slightly off camera but knew the owner of the voice immediately.
“Uncle Jared! Of course, you were incredible as always!” You laughed as you watched him squeeze himself into your dad’s personal space so they both were just about visible on your screen.
“That’s what I like to hear. I miss you kiddo, I feel like I’ve not seen you for ages.” He pouted before playfully glaring at your dad.
“I know, I miss you too. I was actually going to ask you dad if I could come out to one of the conventions. I have a week off from school when you’re at the next one.” You told him, desperately hoping he’d say yes. It hadn’t been that long since you last saw him but you missed him so much when he wasn’t around.
“Well if you’re off school I don’t see why you can’t come. I’ll make sure everything sorted and let you know what’s happening. Are you going to be ok flying on your own, I don’t know if I’ll be able to fly back before the con?” He asked you, worry clear in his tone. You weren’t the best flyer but you could handle it on your own.
“Yeah, no, I’ll be fine. Promise. I just really wanna see you, Uncle Jared and the rest of the cast soon. I miss you.” You cursed yourself silently as your voice cracked, betraying the emotions you were feeling. Even though he was away a lot for work you were closest with your dad, he was always there whenever you needed him, if he wasn’t at home you knew you could always call him and he’d be there. When he wasn’t home though you did feel guilty about calling him, not wanting to drag him away from work or sleep if you’d had a particularly bad night. Having him close always took a huge weight off of you.
“Hey, I miss you too baby girl. Is everything alright?” He asked in concern, you watched as Jared moved away allowing you and Jensen some privacy.
“Yeah, I’m fine really, I don’t know why I’m so emotional right now. I guess I just didn’t realised how bad I missed you.” You told him, giving him a smile, not wanting him to worry about you more than he did. You watched as he frowned, eyebrows knitting together but he nodded along with what you were saying.
“You know if you need me, no matter when, you call me. Even if you think it’s silly-”
“I know I can call you. I promise nothing is wrong though.” You reassured him, smiling when he nodded more genuinely, some of the concern leaving his face but you could tell he didn’t fully believe you.
“We’ll be together before you know it princess.” He told you with a grin making you feel at ease.

Three weeks later you were stood in the airport at San Francisco waiting for your dad’s flight to come in. Luckily you’d both managed to get flights that were fairly close to each other but you were stuck at the airport for at least half an hour by yourself.
You decided to go to one of the coffee shops in the airport to grab a drink before making yourself comfortable at one of the tables and pulling your phone out. The flight itself wasn’t too bad but it wasn’t great, you honestly just wanted your dad. It had been weeks since you had seen him last and it was starting to get to you.
Forty minutes later you got a text from your dad letting you know him Misha and Jared had landed and you quickly wrote back letting him know where you were. You saw him first, it wasn’t hard to find Jensen, Misha or Jared in a crowd, they were usually the tallest and the fairly sized crowd following them, snapping pictures and getting autographs gave them away.
You managed to push past the fans and wrapped yourself around Jensen before he had a chance to even acknowledge who was invading his space. For a brief moment he assumed it was a fan but a quick glance down had him beaming and wrapping his arms around you just as tightly. You felt him press a kiss against your hair and couldn’t help it as your eyes filled with tears, God you’d missed him.
You heard the fans cooing around you but paid them no mind as you clung to your dad.
“Hey baby girl, I missed you.” He told you softly, you squeezed him tighter as you nodded against him.
“I missed you too.” You choked out, focusing on not letting any tears fall right now.
“How about we get to the car, yeah?” Jensen asked you and you agreed wanting to be out of the view of the public, people snapping pictures when you were crying wasn’t exactly what you wanted.
Pulling away from Jensen you were engulfed by Jared wrapping you in his own hug, you were quick to hug him back. Not realising how much you’d missed him until you were in his arms.
“I missed you Uncle Jared.” This caused him to smile brightly down at you before telling you how much he missed you as well.
When you left Jared’s arms you turned to Misha and the two of you hugged each other before finally you were all leaving the airport, Jensen having grabbed the suitcase you’d abandoned in favour of greeting him.

The car ride to the hotel wasn’t too long, you’d spent it cuddled up against your dad having no intention of leaving him at any point in the near future. When the four of you got to the hotel, your dad went to check you both in and you turned just in time to see Rob, Rich and Matt leaving the elevator. You made your way over to them, Richard spotting you first and meeting you half way.
“Y/N! You’re here!” He yelled as he threw his arms around you. The hug was quick and the other two hugged you hello.
“God, I love conventions, so many hugs.” You sighed happily causing the boys to laugh. The four of you chatted until Jared, Jensen and Misha came over, allowing everyone to greet each other and arrange for a dinner later on that evening.
“Come on princess, let’s put these away.” Jensen said, gesturing to the suitcases. One of his arms was placed around your shoulder as the other pulled his suitcase. You smiled up at him before taking your suitcase and heading to the elevator the boys had just left.

“So,” Jensen started. The two of you were cuddled together in bed, you’d met up with Jared, Misha, Alexander, Ruth, Richard, Rob, Matt, Kim, Briana and Mark for dinner and now were back at the hotel. The cast had an early morning tomorrow so it was an early night for most of them. “Are you sure there’s nothing wrong? I’m not complaining about you being cuddly, trust me I love it, but if you need to talk, I’m right here.” You smiled up at him, feeling happier than you had when back in Austin.
“I promise I’m fine. I guess I just needed you more than I realised lately. Nothing even happened, school has been great, my grades are good, Danneel and the kids are doing well, nothing is bad but I don’t know I guess I just miss you being around. I don’t know why it got to me so much this time though.” You told him honestly. Jensen looked down at you, placing a kiss against your forehead before pulling you closer to him.
“I miss being around too. I love what I do so much but sometimes I feel bad about leaving you and JJ, the twins, Dani. I promise I’m always here though, for all of you. I’ll have more time once the show has ended, even with the music and the other projects. I love you, kiddo.” He told you. You were saddened to hear how bad he felt, the family knew he was there for them though and you all were so close, even when he was gone he made an effort to be involved in everyone’s lives.
“I love you too, so much. Never feel bad though, we all love that you’re doing what you love and that you still make such an effort to be with us, either on video calls or flying home on breaks, even if its just for a day or two.” The smile he gave you showed you how much your words meant to him even if they didn’t, to you, feel like they did justice to what you wanted to say. He always knew what you were saying without you needing to say it.
You couldn’t wait til his next break so he could come home.

You don’t know how you ended up down here, staring into the eyes of the most dangerous being in the tower. Tony had expressly forbidden you from going down, told you it was too risky, that the man in that cell could manipulate you into doing anything for him.
Naturally you hadn’t listened to a word he said, too curious, too stubborn? Who knew? All you knew now was that you were sneaking around the tower for nightly visits with the prisoner occupying the lower floors.
As you looked at him tonight, really looked at him, it was hard to remember he was a dangerous person, hard to remember he’d killed people, tricked and deceived people for his own gain. Watching as he sat cross legged on the floor in front of the glass that shut him away from the world, listening as he read a worn novel aloud to you.
It was easy to forget in moments like this you were breaking every rule, easy to forget this man could quite easily just be playing you.
For some reason you thought the risk of getting hurt amounted to nothing compared to how happy these stolen moments made you.

“Ah the one with the magic, I presume?” Loki asked as you entered the room after minutes of pacing.
When you didn’t reply Loki continued, “you’re clearly not down here for some friendly chit-chat, what can I do for you?”
A funny question considering you didn’t have the damn clue on how to respond. Why had you come down here?
“Still nothing? Ok then, magic one, won’t you have a seat?” He offered, gesturing to the large sofa that was placed on your side of the glass, you assumed it was used by Thor on his daily visits down here.
“I don’t know why I’m here.” You said after an uncomfortable amount of silence had passed.
Loki looked up at you, his face giving nothing away about what he thought.
“I don’t know why you’re here either,” he replied eventually, “but it’s not often a pretty face comes to visit me so you won’t see me turning you away.” He smirked causing you to suppress an eye roll.
“I don’t know about that, Thor is definitely pretty.” You stated causing Loki to chuckle, his eyes lighting up with emotions you couldn’t place.
“One would have to question your taste.” He shot back.
“See Thor’s got the looks and he seems like he’d be very gentleman like, whereas you...well I’m sure the angsty teenager look will come back into fashion at some point.”
You watched as Loki laughed again, he sat up as if he was intrigued by you, leaning forward from his seat on the chair.
Maybe you hadn’t known why you went down there but you hadn’t regretted the decision after leaving.
-
‘Whatcha reading?” You asked as you entered the room, grinning at the glare you received for the interruption.
Loki held the book up so you could see the cover, “Thor decided to bring me a selection of Midgard books, admittedly they’re not all terrible.”
“The Great Gatsby? Not bad, meant to be a timeless classic here on Midgard.” You said, scrunching your nose at the foreign word, noticing the corners of Loki’s mouth twitch upwards.
“You’ve never read it?” He asked, looking from the book and to you, giving you his full attention whilst his finger pressed against the sentence he was on.
“Eh, not a lot of time to read the classics when you’re being experimented on for your magic.” You shrugged.
“They experimented on you? For you magic?” Loki asked as he filled anger bubbling inside him, he hadn’t known you for very long but you were one of the last people who deserved treatment of that kind.
“Well magic isn’t as common here as it is for you. It’s fine, I mean they tried for a few years and then Tony got a hold of me, helped me with my magic and to deal with what had happened.” You explained, giving him the brief version of it.
You still weren’t entirely sure who the people who took you were, just that they were an organisation who had no trouble torturing you as they tried to figure out how your magic worked, if they could extract it from your DNA and if it could be implanted into their weapon. The way they spoke of the weapon made it sound like it was a human but you were never able to find anything out about it.
Tony had found you because he was looking for a friend of a friend. You didn’t remember much of the day only that you had woken up briefly after a bad session with the organization doctors to see the door being blasted off by a robot and then you woke up in a real hospital bed with Tony sat waiting for you.
“And what of the people who hurt you?” Loki asked, snapping you from your thoughts.
“They’re dead. Tony blew their base up when he found me.”
“Good.” Was Loki’s dark reply.
Loki looked at you, there was still plenty of anger but he could see how you’d gone a shade or two paler, how you were getting lost in your thoughts. He had never been very good at comforting people, so instead he began to speak, softly, soothingly.
“He smiled understandingly- more than understandingly. It was one of those rare smiles with a quality of eternal reassurance in it, that you may come across four or five times in life. It faced-or seemed to face-the whole external world for an instant and then concentrated on you with an irresistible prejudice in your favour…”
Loki continued to read, glancing up at you every so often until he saw that you had fallen asleep, curled up on the couch with no trace of the unwanted memories from before.
Loki felt himself fill with pride and couldn’t control the soft smile on his face no matter how hard he tried.
-
You had no idea when or if Loki was going to be released from the cell he was in. It wasn’t a conversation you had ever brought up with him, too distracted by other things to dwell on the negative. But at night when you were alone with your thoughts you couldn’t help but wonder about Loki’s future.
You knew what he had done, you’d heard all sides of the story, Loki’s included, and whilst, yes, he needed some form of punishment, the pain and control lost to Thanos would probably have covered it.
It’s why you brought the topic up with Tony one day when the two of you were alone in his workshop.
“But I have magic!” You protested when Tony cut you off without hearing you out, “between the two of us, your mind and my magic, we could create something to keep Loki’s magic at bay.”
“Alright kid, what’s the sudden fascination with Loki?” He asked, turning to face you.
“I heard what happened to him, ok? I just-” You trailed off, looking down and missing the expression of disbelief on Tony’s face.
“Please, please tell me you haven’t been going down to see Loki, Y/N.” It wasn’t a question, it was like Tony was begging that the answer wouldn’t be yes.
You debated on whether you should tell him the truth or just lie but eventually you just sighed.
“I’ve been going to see him every night for months.” You confessed.
“Y/N!” Tony yelled before turning his attention to the ceiling. “JARVIS why the hell was I not informed that she’s been sneaking down there?”
“Miss Y/L/N was never in any danger. My settings only require me to alert you when a person who enters floor thirty four is in danger.” JARVIS responded promptly.
“See!” You exclaimed, “I was never in any danger, Loki hasn’t tried to hurt me.”
“You don’t know Loki-” Tony began but you cut him off angrily.
“I know him more than you do! Tony, please, give him a chance. We can work on something to restrain his magic but please, you can’t keep him in that cell forever, it’s not right, not when he was a victim too.”
“Y/N,” he sighed tiredly, “it’s not up to me and you know it. You’d have to convince the whole team and believe me when I tell you that’s not gonna happen, the only person you’d have on your side would be Thor.”
“Please Tony,” you said quietly, “he deserves a chance. I hurt people too, I killed people because they forced me too. I deserved to be locked up but you gave me a second chance.” You admitted. You knew the organisation had made you do things, somehow they got into your mind, made it so it wasn’t your own once they realised they couldn’t extract your magic.
“Oh kid…” Tony sighed but you were suddenly exhausted. There was only one place you wanted to be and it wasn’t here.
With a quick goodbye you asked JARVIS to take you to floor thirty four.
Loki immediately knew something was wrong.
He watched you lay on the couch, facing him but your eyes showed you weren’t seeing much of the room, instead locked away in your head with your thoughts.
“Darling?” He asked quietly, not wanting to startle you.
He hadn’t even noticed the term of endearment that slipped out until he saw you smile, no matter how tiny it was.
“What happened?” He wasn’t shocked when his question was met with silence but he carried on talking so that you didn’t get too lost in your head.
He knew your favourite thing to listen to him talk about was Asgard, your face was always beautiful as he spoke about the planet, your eyes lit up as he explained the beauty of the palace, the calm of the gardens, the peace you could find in the library and the excitement that was always in the air.
You loved to hear the stories of his childhood, of him and Thor, the adventures, the pranks. You loved watching him talk about Thor and his mother, a different kind of softness took over Loki when he recalled the fond memories.
“Did I ever tell you about the time that I accidentally broke Thor’s leg whilst trying to sneak past Heimdall to visit another planet?” He asked, watching as you shook your head as if to clear your thoughts before looking at him, looking a lot more aware than before, before you shook your head again.
You were fast asleep before Loki had gotten to the end of his tale.

It took months before the team shifted their views on Loki but they could hardly deny Tony’s technology mixed with your magic to create a non-intrusive device that would contain Loki’s magic. Naturally you hadn’t told them about some minor adjustments you had made, i.e letting Loki use magic that was good, he couldn’t use it if he had bad intentions.
You wanted to be the one to tell Loki the news but after seeing how happy Thor was you let him.
“No, please Y/N, I insist you tell him, after all this is all your doing.” Thor replied.
“Thor really,” You began but he cut you off.
“How about we both tell him?” He compromised and you readily agreed, both of you grinning as you made your way down to Loki’s floor.
“Ah brother, Y/N. To what do I owe the pleasure?” He asked and your smile got even wider if at all possible.
“JARVIS,” you began, “would you please open the door?” You asked watching as Loki rolled his eyes. It was something you’d asked JARVIS a hundred times and you’d always gotten the same answer of how it was against protocols.
This time however…
“Right away, Miss Y/L/N.” JARVIS replied and you watched as Loki’s eyes widened as the door opened for him.
“What is this?” He asked, struggling to keep his voice steady.
“Lady Y/N here managed to convince the team to let you out, though you will have to wear this magic suppressing bracelet.” Thor explained and gestured to the thin black bracelet he held in his hand.
You watched as Loki took a hesitant step forward, as if he expected the door to slam shut, but the second he stepped foot past the threshold he exhaled in disbelief before looking directly at you.
“You did this, darling, for me?” He asked as he took another step forward.
“Everyone deserves a second chance.” You replied quietly, almost shyly which was strange considering you’d been with him every day for the last few months but this was different.
Loki didn’t respond, he just smiled softly at you, eyes still full of disbelief.
It wasn’t until Thor cleared his throat that he spoke again.
“I don’t mean to stare but…” He trailed off for a moment before taking another step forward so he was directly in front of you, “I dreamed every day of being by your side, a foolish dream I thought, a terrible, hopeful dream of being able to touch you one day. I thought I’d never have the chance, yet here you are. So beautiful, my darling.” He said as he reached a hand out to cup your cheek, smiling as you learnt into the touch.
“Thank you, darling.” He whispered before leaning down and pressing his lips gently to yours.
You didn’t have a clue what the future had in store for you but you were content, here and now. Loki was out of his cage and even if the two of you crashed and burned, everyone deserves a second chance.

Prompts - I didn’t see Doctor Who on your who you write for but I thought I’d ask if you could do one where the Doctor sees reader in different places/times and confronts her and it leads to them travelling together. Hinted romance if you could. No problem if you won’t write for DW, thanks!
“Right then,” The Doctor exclaimed aloud to himself as he made his way back to the TARDIS, “Where to next?” He slowed his pace as he passed a library, seeing a familiar figure huddled over a book and laptop through the window.
You. It was always you. No matter where he went, whether it was 1775 or 200129, you were always there. You were always confused, always had that same crease between the eyebrows and same head tilt as you stared at him like he was mad.
“Who are you?” He whispered to himself as he made his way towards you. A reading from the screw driver showed you were just plain human. There was nothing special about you, no time jumping device that he could see either. You were a mystery and oh how The Doctor loved a mystery.
“Hello there.” The Doctor smiled as he sat himself down in the seat across from you. You looked up at him in confusion, there was that head tilt and eyebrow crease he knew so well.
“Hi?” You greeted, though it came out like a question as you looked up from your book.
“Do you recognise me?” The Doctor asked as he suddenly sat up straight and leaned his body across the table so he was staring into your eyes. You looked around before settling your gaze back on him.
“I’m sorry, should I?” You shot back, confused and slightly annoyed with the man who had interrupted your studying.
“Perhaps you should. Who sent you, huh?” Your eyes were wide as he pulled out a device and zapped it in your face.
“What the- my teacher sent me so I could finish my assignment. What is that?” You gasped, knocking the screwdriver away.
“Nothing, always the same. You’re just a bloody human.” He murmured to himself.
“Of course, I’m human!” You exclaimed as quietly as you could, still aware of the fact you were in the library.
“You can’t be! I saw you in France 1629, then again in Monmouth 1778, then again on an entirely different planet fifteen light years away from this time!” He ranted, slumping back in his chair once more with a defeated look, looking like a child who was close to throwing a tantrum. “You shouldn’t be possible.”
“1629, 1778, another planet? Those are things that shouldn’t be possible.” You told him, causing his head to snap up and a grin to form on his face.
This hadn’t happened before, you always just dismissed him, never picked up on the fact that he claimed to have visited those places at those times. Interesting.
“Oh, it’s plenty possible.” He told you, “But don’t you think I’m mad for trying to claim not only you were there but me too?”
“Oh, I think you’re absolutely bonkers. There’s no way you’re telling the truth.” You claimed, arching an eyebrow at him.
“But I am. I’m The Doctor.” He introduced himself and you felt your head explode with the information, flashes of different men, tall, short, old, young, all with questionable fashion. You gripped your head as The Doctor reached across to you.
“Are you alright?” He asked warily once you’d recovered.
“I-I I do-don’t,” You stuttered before taking a shaky breath, “I don’t know what just happened.” You confessed.
“What did you see?” He asked, more of a demand.
You quickly explained to him what you had saw and watched as his eyes widened. He thought over every possibility but none were right, none explained who you were or how you knew of his other lives. He wanted nothing more than to get you into the TARDIS to see if she could figure out something.
“Listen, I’m a time traveller from Gallifrey, an old and long-gone planet. I have two hearts and I swear on both of them you’ll be ok but you need to come with me because something isn’t right and we need to figure it out.” He told you, barely pausing for breath.
It took quite a bit of convincing for you to follow The Doctor. The two of you walked side by side down brightly lit roads. The air was cool which you appreciated as you’d been stuck in the library for hours desperately trying to finish your paper. A part of you was questioning every decision you had ever made, you knew going off with strangers, especially without telling anybody beforehand, was dangerous but a bigger part of you felt safe, like you knew this man and he would protect you.
It wasn’t long before The Doctor, who called themselves that anyway, was leading you down an alleyway and stopped in front of a blue police box that had you raising an eyebrow.
“You led me all this way for a box?” You asked.
“Trust me.” He grinned at knocked on it causing the door to swing open and a stream of light to flow out.
You looked at him warily but he just tilted his head, gesturing for you to enter.
“Oh my god.” You whispered as you spun around in a circle.
“Go on, say it, I love it when they say it.” The Doctor beamed.
“It’s, It’s bigger on the inside.” You and The Doctor said at the same time causing you to laugh slightly manically. He stepped out of your way as you exited the box only to circle it and re-enter.
“That- this is not possible.” You told him as you ran your fingers along the console causing him to step forward and flick switches you had pressed.
“Everything’s possible.” He told you with a grin. “Now, this is the TARDIS and she’s mine, technically I’m borrowing her but semantics.” He shrugged before continuing, “Now, she can do a scan, completely non-invasive, and we can figure out just what you are.” He told you as he started pressing buttons and pulling levers.
“I thought I was just plain human.” You asked with a hint of amusement.
“Ah, well, perhaps you are but there could be something more to you and I just can’t help myself. I love a mystery.”
You and The Doctor spoke for hours as the TARDIS scanned you and then took a long time to give an alert. The two of you were sat next to each other as The Doctor told you of his adventures.
“So, you can travel anywhere in time and space, right?” You asked.
“Right.”
“So, why not stop the bad stuff from happening, like wars and stuff, surely you can just fly your box there and make everything better.”
“Well, it doesn’t actually work like that. Time and space, somethings are so fixed that no matter what you do they have to happen. Sometimes you know something is going to happen and you try to fix it but your actions are what causes something. Trust me, it’s a blessing and a curse to be able to travel like this.” He explained, suddenly looking like he had the weight of several planets on his shoulders.
“I’d love to travel. There’s so many incredible things that are just out there waiting to be explored.” You told him with a faraway look that caused him to smile softly at you.
“Why not do it then? Go exploring?” He asked, eyes wide as he did.
“That’s not the way things are,” you began with a heavy sigh, “Here you’re expected to finish up your education, start working a 9-5 job that makes you miserable and squeeze out some kids with your partner who you hate.”
“You could always run away with me. You know, one of the best things about having a time machine is I can take you anywhere you want, anytime you want, and have you home five minutes later.” The Doctor told you causing you to look at him in excitement.
“Really!?” You exclaimed, “but you just met me. Why would you want me to travel with you?” You asked him.
“There’s something about you, Y/N. I like you.”

You laughed as The Doctor grabbed your hand and pulled you along with him, the two of you running as fast as you could. You’d begged The Doctor to bring you to see Shakespeare and whilst it was beautiful, though the smell was something that could be better, it had ended with The Doctor narrowly escaping getting punched in the face and the two of you fleeing to the TARDIS, panting as you leaned against the doors.
“That was close.” He laughed as he watched you giggle through deep breaths.
Neither of you had found out why The Doctor had seen you several times. A scan from the TARDIS all those months ago showed that you were in fact just a regular human but The Doctor chose to focus on you, here and now, not on whatever happened. Without it he never would have gone up to you in the library that day, he would have been left alone despite Amy’s wishes.
You truly were a blessing to him.
“Where to next, Y/N?” He asked causing you to grin at him.
“Surprise me.” You told him with a soft smile.
You were a mystery to him in more ways than one.
