After being inspired by @differentnighttale for their amazing writing challenges, I decided to make my own :D

This challenge is meant to help you think more about your characters and deepen your understanding of them!

What is the most insulting thing they could ever call someone?

I have so many characters that are inspired by games and movies :)

I define my worlds by the main characters so that's basically what I am going to be doing here!

Nonkosi + Yituing: Imagine if Arcana (the mobile dating sim) had a protagonist who was self-aware of their role in the story. If the main character pulled a Monika from Doki Doki where pulls someone into the game universe.

Myroslava + GRML + Theo: A deconstruction of the Isekai/Reincarnation genre since it's my favorite thing to read!

Claude + Gabriel The Archangel: I was playing a cash-grabbing dating sim game where the main was forced to be the maid to demons. I made a joke about how the character was invisible and that's how Claude was born.

Yuuma + Jukka: What if the anti-hero was a picture of immaturity and emotion? What if the anti-villain wasn't totally sympathetic and kind off insane? Then they kiss!

**Help the children to survive **

Hello I am Hany from Gaza . I am a teacher and I lost my job and my salary during the cruel war and daily genocide on Gaza strip.

we are under the hell of bombs and air strikes so we are dying every moment.

My three children are frightened and we don't have drinking water, food,electricity, clothes and cleaning products.

Thanks @imbecominggayer for making this challenge and tagging me here! I would have reblogged but my answers ended up being really long so I made a separate post instead; all credit for the questions goes to you of course!

I’m gonna do Oksana for this because she’s my main character and my favourite.

1. What is the most insulting thing they could ever call someone?

She’s honestly too socially awkward to insult anyone to their face, the meanest thing she ever did was tell her friend to shut up. Confrontations are certainly not her forte, so yeah, no real insults.

2. Is your character more emotional or logical in their understanding of the world?

She likes to think she’s logical but realistically she lives by her heart.

3. If you had to give your character a motif, what would it be?

Probably stars or cranes.

4. What flaws would drive your character to being a villain if they aren't already villains?

Her passion for the things she cares about. She would never knowingly want to hurt people but her passion and emotions could potentially drive her to misunderstand the world and her goals.

5. Why do they actually love their love interest (if applicable?) What qualities do they need?

It’s difficult to answer this one because there’s no distinct reason Oksana loves Irina. But she loves Irina’s passion, the sensitivity she tries to hide with false confidence, her courage to confront problems/topics Oksana couldn’t, and the way Irina is unapologetically herself despite not entirely knowing herself. But even though Irina lost some of those traits after Oksana’s death, she would have always continued to love her. Even if it meant that Oksana changed too.

5.5. If they don't have a love interest, why do they love their friends? What qualities make about them make life better?

I wanted to do her friends anyway because they’re just as important. Oksana loves Katerina’s kindness and innocence, how she always looks for the best in people. She loves how she always feels safer and more gentle with Katerina. But she admires Katerina too, and her consistent courage despite being so young and afraid. As for Oksana’s other friends, she loves Yevgeniya’s intelligence, how pleasant it is to be around Inna, and the connection they all share as a result of being in the regiment together.

6. What qualities do they especially hate in a person and what do they do if a loved one expresses those qualities?

Oksana hates when people aren’t loyal. That’s what causes Oksana to lose affection for Yelena. It’s also why she resents Daria (ex-best friend) for so long. So generally this would make Oksana dislike someone, but if it were Katerina or Irina, she would be a lot more forgiving.

7. What is their fate worse than death?

Well she does die, and pretty horribly too.

8. Who is their role model?

Probably Marina Raskova, the aviator who created her regiment, but she admires Irina very deeply and personally.

9. Who was their primary caretaker? Their parent? Foster system? Relative?

Her biological parents raised her.

10. What is their perfect happy ever after? What is the ending they have to settle for? Is this ending satisfying?

I just loved her so much I gave her the best ending of all! (She died in Katerina’s arms, knowing she failed her country, her family, and that she broke her promise to Irina to return…) Not at all satisfying but the most thematic and genuine ending.

11. What is the most embarrassing thing they have ever done that they can't honestly blame on anyone else?

It’s sad, not embarrassing, but she definitely felt very humiliated about making out with Nikolai because she thought she could make herself attracted to men if she tried hard enough. Other than that I can’t think of anything.

12. What is the most damaging mistake they have ever made that they truly can't blame on anyone else?

Not being honest with her father and lying about the fact she was going to the front lines (he didn’t know until he got the news about her death). Either that or choosing to go through with the mission instead of requesting time off or medication. She hadn’t slept for about 40 hours, despite not having slept more than 2-4 hours a night for months. Should have listened to Irina instead but she and Katerina ended up crashing, which resulted in her death.

Verne And Stansevain: Stanse was inspired by my interest in what I call the "horror of understanding". How some people drag each other further into the ground simply to know that they both can taste the mud. Verne was inspired by a desire to deconstruct the "damsel in distress" character type!

Young And Fremont/Aaron: I was inspired by a dream I had. I dreamed I was an otherworldly end of life duela to put it simply who had to convince Aaron with his wife and children to go into the afterlife. Everyone was rather simple except for Aaron. I then woke up. Since I desired to see the ending, I went back to sleep. I was finally able to convince Aaron to be reincarnated once I promised him that I would personally make sure that he and his family would be reincarnated together.

{WARNING: SPOILERS FOR OBEY ME GAME UP NEXT}

Kiri And Amoiel: When I was playing Obey Me casually, they started hinting at a special connection between Lilith and MC. I was thinking, "It would be strange to see the MC as Lilith since that's borderline incest soul-wise..." So I tried to explain this obvious connection in my head. So I went: Lilith fell down? Maybe she fell onto Earth! Then I concocted this wild theory where Lilith left a mark on the ancestors of MC. Combined with Junji Ito's "What Lurks Beneath the Sea", i came up with a story about a parasitic angel forced to harvest on the lifespan of this family generation.

Hi guys.

It's me again and I guess I have another challenge this time and this is too all writers who haven't found their title, even if you have a title you can join.

How did your book grow into it now?

Was a fanfic to original story?

What inspired you to write your WIP? It could be a book, a show, a person or even a character.

My current WIP is based on a Wolfblood, Twilight and Avatar:The Last Airbender.

Wolfblood gave me the way to write controlled werewolves, Twilight gave me my protagonist, Thalia but she was a nameless Black girl who had a relationship with a vampire and Avatar for my panther shifters but slowly the book changed, and the Avatar gave me inspo for her abilities and she was a mortal who lived with supernatural creatures.

So yeah.

Thats it.

The vibe is a snowy winter wonderland filled with secrets and monsters and strange happenings after a strange human girl meets a tribe of Inuit werewolves.

The tone is quite dark at first.
