angel probably wasn’t all that receptive to david being genuinely mad because that’s just been their dynamic from that stage - he’s kinda grumpy/shut off, they annoy him affectionately, it might’ve been hard to differentiate at times (also they reek of the tism /j…maybe /hj)

Ya'll know how jarring it was to enter the Tumblr space and see people drag his name? Having people refer to David confronting Angel for the weird ass sneaking around and say he was yelling. YELLING??? The man had a tone switch, but not once in that audio did he actually yell.

Maybe it's just me. Maybe I'm the problem. I don't see the dude as mean. "Bullying" as in mild name calling and calling a person out on their shit isn't mean.

i totally think angel was on some weird shit in the early audios (i wouldn’t have even believed them if they told me this shit was about their cat if i was david tbh)

but come on guys, the name calling was a little much 😭😭”infuriating little shit” is crazy, bro come on we just go to the same places???? (i’m yapping again yall incoming)

and then in the confrontation audio, there were definitely far more constructive ways to address the issue, like again angel absolutely should’ve been straight up from the start but the fact that they were hiding something like that does somewhat reflect that david DID have a problem with how he reacted to things. if you don’t feel safe enough to share smth like that with a romantic partner, imo something is already a little off about the relationship dynamic. he could’ve just gotten straight to the point and expressed his disdain without attacking angels character - angel wasn’t necessarily the problem at the root of this issue, they were facing this problem of trust, together.

even that “won’t shift for you” audio was WILD. he was constantly giving them shit for being late, PINNED THEM TO THE FRIDGE BC THEY WANTED HIM TO ADMIT HE MISSED THEM (bro that would’ve scared the SHIT outta me), and kept making little comments about how they can’t be trusted to not mess shit up 😭😭(granted i will also say in this audio, angel should have just taken a no for an answer, david didn’t wanna shift so he did not have to)

for most people, i think david’s early audios are a little much. which is okay! it’s media, things are exaggerated. but nitpicky/snarky comments like that stack up and it was rare we got like actual verbal affection in between apart from little kisses here and there

and angel isn’t some like helpless victim either, they knew what they were getting into 💀accused them of stalking on sight and was like “spectacular give me 14 of em rn/ref” - plus a little lighthearted name calling and teasing between partners isn’t like inherently shitty/toxic, i like to think they clocked david’s shit too (i think he’s even said this for himself) . generally the early relationships was rocky cuz at the end of the day david was at a really low point in his life and both of them were trying to find their footing with each other. i think the development of them both is beautiful
