☆ orders for you when you're out

when you both have days off, dino likes to take you out and end the day by eating out. it’s always nice when your boyfriend grabs your hand in his, squeezing it tightly as he sways both of your hands back and forth while walking through the streets. when you arrive at whatever restaurant you decided to go to that day, dino always pulls your chair out for you and pushes it back when you’re seated, kissing you on the temple and pinching you jokingly on the shoulder. dino doesn’t care about the stares he receives from the other customers or the waiters, continuing to hold your hand on the table and stare at you lovingly. when the waitress finally makes her way over to your table, he greets her before looking back at you, silently understanding what you’re telling him. he would then order for you, turning to you a few times to make sure that’s what you wanted, before ordering for himself. dino knows you can become quite anxious for such things and he has no problem reassuring you, ordering for you if he has to.

☆ makes you sit in his lap whenever you walk by

the first time you sat in dino’s lap, it was actually an accident. you had only been dating for a few weeks and you were both invited to a party of a mutual friend. it was a nice party but it was packed, the apartment way too small to fit so many people. while dino was sitting on the couch, you went to grab two drinks from the kitchen and when you came back, someone accidentally walked into you. you then bumped your knee in the corner of the coffee table and almost toppled over at the pain but dino was faster and in less than a second, he was holding onto you. you two blushed furiously when you realized you were basically sitting in his lap, his fingers massaging your bruised knee. lots of apologies left your mouth and you tried to stand up but dino held onto you tightly. the night ended with you two still cuddling on mingyu’s couch, you sitting in his lap while he whispered sweet things in your ear. after that night, everytime you would walk by dino while he was sitting down, he would always pull you down to sit on his lap, even for a few seconds, needing you close to him.

☆ pulls you towards him by the hoop of your jeans

as your boyfriend loves to have you on his lap, he knows you’re quite the tease and purposely walks quickly past him so he can’t pull you down on his lap. it always leaves you laughing and him pouting. when you’re in the mood to tease him, dino knows that if he wants to cuddle you and have you in his lap, he has to think quickly and “attack” you when you’re not paying attention or not expecting it. at first, he was pretty victorious but then you started dodging him whenever you would notice his hands in the corner of your eye so he had to come up with another plan. the perfect opportunity came when you were out with your mutual friends and you were wearing a pair of jeans– his favorite of yours. you had tried to run away when dino approached you after you bought yourself some ice-cream, knowing he would try and steal it from you. but then, out of nowhere, you felt a quick tug on the loop of your jeans before you were send straight into your boyfriend’s arms. your boyfriend had the most satisfied smile on his face as he tugged softly at the loops this time. and at that moment, you knew dino had found a new way to keep you close to him, not that you would ever complain.

☆ spins you around when you try things on

even if dino loves being an idol and considers it more his hobby than his job, he hates how much it separates the two of you. he’s very busy and he can’t always just take a break to visit you or go on a trip with you, so instead, dino tries to bring home little souvenirs of the cities he visited. most of the time, those “souvenirs'' are clothes, accessories or jewelry he thinks would suit you, the price tags always making you gasp in horror. you’re obviously always thankful for his gifts and directly try them on to show him, making him coo at you in awe. of course dino loves seeing you, his beloved partner, dressed up in things he bought. but his favorite thing to do in such a situation is to spin you around, taking a good look at how the clothes suit you or how the jewelry sparkles against your skin. but the spinning you around isn’t only reserved for when you’re dressed up, he also does it when you get out of bed, when you get out of the shower wrapped in a towel or when he walks in on you changing. dino just loves spinning you around, admiring his beautiful partner as much as he can.

the kid in front of you says aloud as you can only let out a small giggle, choosing to play along instead of telling them off.

"well you better study hard then, so you can get a beautiful lover."

as amusing as the entirety of the situation is, the man beside you is less than amused, is this 8 yr old really challenging him?? do they not understand that you are bound to him now?? nonsense he shouldn't let a practical toddler snatch you away.

he grabs you by your waist, swift yet gentle as he looks at the kid condescendingly.

"this one's mine, find another."

and as if on cue, the kid's mother calls them before they can throw an insult at scaramouche, he turns to you and presses a quick kiss to your cheek.

"log no.1362, subject reacts negatively to competition"

"woah! you're really talented! can i marry you?"

you let out a small giggle as you agreed, you weren't gonna crush this cutie's dreams, and you'd be honored to be teucer's first little crush, though both yours and his sibling's giggles were cut off when he clears his throat.

"i know were siblings but your brother doesn't share teucer."

"nuh-uh you didn't call dibs!"

"he is right ajax.. you didn't call dibs."

the whole thing could have been romantic really. your stoic, six foot tall boyfriend sitting beside you on the floor, taking out the seeds on your fruit because you don't like it? how attentive and sweet of him.

except right now, it's anything but that. rin is sitting next to you, plate on the table and a toothpick in hand. all those shuffling you keep hearing, while working on an english essay due next week, was because of him. 

now that you look at him, you can't help but gasp in disbelief. your stoic, six footer boyfriend sitting beside you on the floor was picking out the seeds of a strawberry with a toothpick. "what the fuck, rin?"

"take one over there, i'm done with four." he picked up a strawberry and brought it to your face. hesitantly, you take it from him and wow, there's really no seeds left. "four? rin, how long have you been picking out the seeds?"

"for a while now." a while? is it still a 'while' even if it's already been six hours? you don't dare to ask anymore.

"rin, you could've just left the strawberries as is." you sighed, bring your hand up to brush his hair away from his face. rin took your hand, caressing your palm. "but you said you don't like the seeds."

"i know babe. but the strawberry seeds are small enough, you can't really be bothered when eating them." rin lets out the smallest of frowns adorn his face. moving closer, he leaned his body to yours, cheek against your shoulder. your hand continued its ministration with his hair. twisting the strands and smoothing them after.

"does it apply to bananas, too?"

"you've been taking out the seeds of the bananas? is that why you take so long when i ask for one?

"... you said you don't like seeds on your fruits."

"rin?!"

 “I can’t.”

 You whispered the words, afraid of the reaction to them. It wasn’t as though you didn’t want to, you just weren’t ready. The idea was too daunting.

 Just as quietly his hushed voice asked, “Why not?”

 “I’m not ready.”

 “So it’s not a no.” His soft eyes caught your gaze for a brief moment. Within that second you saw a glimmer of hope flash through his eyes.

 You glanced down, “It’s not a no.” You let the unsaid words hang in the air. The words that it could be a yes, in time. That you weren’t unwilling just not ready.

 “Then I’ll wait.” He stepped back.

 You looked up, expecting resolution. What you saw on his face was a patient acceptance. Your eyes misted at the implications. He was willing to wait for you to be ready. For you to realize what you wanted and what you needed.

 “Why?” He should be heartbroken, he should be disappointed, he should-

 “Because I care about you,” gentle hands rested on your shoulders, encouraging you to look him in the eye, “and that is enough reason for me to wait if all you need is a bit more time.” He smiled softly, “Besides, I can’t say I truly care if something so small were to destroy that. Don’t rush yourself,” he placed a feather light kiss on your brow and pulled back. “I’ll be here when you’re ready, whatever you decide.”

 “Thank you,” the words floated away on the wind, too quiet to hear but he knew. He knew and he would wait, because he cared.

fluff, apologising and making up after a 'fight' kind of drabble bc i miss suna <3

suna rintarou shows up to your university on the third day of the silent treatment.

the sight is a surprise, to say the least. your pro-volleyball player boyfriend standing outside your faculty’s building with his hands in his pockets, blending in with baggy jeans, a hoodie, and a cap. he looks the part of a university student, but you could never be fooled, not when he's 6'3 with an equally admirable stature from exercising.

amongst the crowd of outflowing students, the dark-haired spots you, olive eyes widening upon seeing you. he pushes himself onto two feet before walking over to where you stay rooted, dodging the students who just came out of the same lecture.

“hi,” suna greets, stopping just a few feet away from you. the sight of his lopsided smile is enough to get your heart racing again. you've missed him so much.

regardless, you cross your arms to keep up an angry front, not wanting to give in to his charms just yet no matter how good he may he at using them. 

“what are you doing here?” you ask bluntly, betraying the butterflies in your stomach.

his expression doesn’t falter at your iciness. “not happy to see me?”

you are happy to see him, very much so, especially when he has taken the initiative of literally showing up at your campus and waiting for your classes to be over to see you. he must be tired from practice as well and you know too well that mondays were never kind to him. 

so the fact that suna came all this way for you makes you feel a little special. 

he’s even wearing some of that cologne that you really like and unless it’s for special occasions, you know that your boyfriend is never bothered enough to wear any fragrance. he is so sly that you could kiss him.

“not particularly, suna.” you say in response, lying through your teeth.

suna clutches his chest like he’s been shot, making a gasp of offence at your statement. “babe, after i came all the way to campus? i thought i’d never want to come back here but i made some exceptions for the love of my life and this is what i get in return?” 

“suck it up, i guess.”

“-and who on earth is suna? never heard of him. can’t believe you’ve already forgotten my name after three days, i’m losing sight of reality, babe hold me, i might faint.”

“whatever,” you chuckle a little at his antics, eyes softening with a certain fondness that suna doesn’t miss. his lips twitch upwards at the sight of it.

this is his chance to win you back. he throws his line in in hopes of catching you hook and sinker. 

“let’s go to dinner tonight,” he offers, recovering from his previously downed position, voice contrastingly soft and gentle to smoothen his proposal. 

“what, so you can stand me up again?” you quip, instantly slicing the atmosphere to turn tense as the line snaps in half.

suna’s grin falls, morphing into a guilty frown. “c’mon pretty, that’s mean. you know how sorry i am, i didn’t mean to forget about our plans.”

you huff, letting your arms fall back to your sides. “i know, i know, but you standing me up just stung. it was frustrating because i made time for us that i could have used to study with instead,” you confess. “you know how stressed i’ve been with finals.”

the athlete stuffs his hands into his pockets awkwardly. “but i’m trying to make up for it.” 

“i know and i appreciate it, but now’s not a good time. i’m sorry but i can’t go to dinner tonight or any time soon, i have a bunch of practice tests to do that i can’t keep putting off.”

“then can i come over?” asks suna, a hopeful lilt to his voice.

“and watch me study? do you really want that?”

“i just want to be with you, i can order us takeout or something- on me.”

“guess i’m just irresistible, huh?”

“duh, do you know how much i suffered during the weekend? missed you so much, practically died from boredom.”

“oh so i’m just another person for you to bother? is that how it is?” you ask, unable to contain your smile. 

the dark-haired scoffs. “c’mon babes, you know you’re better than that. you’re the only person i can bother.”

“oh fuck off,” you whack his shoulder teasingly. “also for your information, you’re not coming between me and my education.”

“ambitious people are a turn-on,” he mutters with a shrug before pulling you in to kiss your cheek.

“ew get off me, freak,” you joke whilst shoving him, not rough enough to actually create distance but suna still stands his ground from the force. his hand goes to hold your other cheek as he smothers you with over-exaggerated affection. 

you laugh in his hold, holding on to his wrists for balance. “suna!” you yelp when he pushes too much weight onto you, causing the two of you to stumble sideways. “actually get off me.”

“can’t. won’t. don’t want to. this is what you get for not responding to me all weekend- what does  a man need to do to get a text back from the love of his life?” 

“easy. be a man.” you step out of his grasp with a satisfied smirk, beginning to walk away from your boyfriend who stares at you with his mouth hung open in disbelief. inevitably, suna runs up to you.

and as he encases you with his arms in the middle of the empty gardens of your university faculty, you know that the two of you will be okay. even if suna is the bane of your existence, there is no one else for you like him.
