My first attempt at making a reference sheet. I'm pretty new to drawing (I had an interest as a kid/teen but some mean peers made fun of my attempts and I stopped trying), but I've felt so inspired by some OC artists lately I felt like trying again. I'm sure this will be a useful 'before' picture some day 😅
Every world has it's criminals, and Valian knows a lot about what happens to the ones who get caught. It was supposed to be a clean robbery, the harpy was supposed to be away from her shop, and Val's partner in crime was supposed to provide a getaway. Now Val has a collar around his neck and is at the beck and call of whatever demon is contracted to 'reform' him. It's exactly what society expects of a lowly ifrit like him. He'd long resigned himself to playing the dutiful servant when his contract is unexpectedly given away to a clueless guest of the demonic capitol..
