Yesterday I saw this really pretty skinny blonde girl and everyone was obsessed with her. These little kids said they loved her and wanted to be her and I sat there feeling fat and gross. Everyone loves you when you’re skinny. It’s like magic.

I swear its so hard sticking to this not eating shit when your brain is SO GOOD at convincing you it’s ok to be a fat fuck. Like I’ll see other people who are even slightly bigger than me with good lives and a partner and people who think they’re hot and I’m like.. ok maybe you can just give up control and let your life spiral!
But I always end up back here. So I KNOW it’s not true. It’s my dumb brain/stomach trying to fuckin trick me. Life is ALWAYS EASIER the thinner you are. I can’t forget that. Just because life could be ok as a thicker girl, doesn’t mean it wouldn’t be BETTER as a skinny beautiful girl. ✨
Imagine that you are the skinniest you have ever been. You are at your goal weight. You made it happen. You wake up in the morning and you feel bliss. You glance at the mirror and see a new version of yourself. Skinny. Desirable. Confident. Improved. Everywhere you go, heads turn. And not because you take up half the space. Not anymore. It is because you made it happen. It is because your discipline payed off. You see it now. It was all worth it.
NOT your usual list of WL tips
Note: I’ve been around the online space since I was young, I’ve had to research and unlearn SO much misinformation and harmful/useless advice and it’s sad seeing spread to people who clearly don’t know any different. I want to post this with the intent of harm reduction and useful, accurate information you can choose to use or not use depending on what works for you personally.
DON’T- Ice bath/cold showers. It burns a completely inconsequential amount of calories, it doesn’t raise your metabolism a noteworthy amount either,. It’s a lot of discomfort that would be much better spent burning the same amount off in like 15 crunches and then having a comforting warm bath. We’re freezing internally all the time as it is, we don’t need it to get worse. It can also be dangerous if you’re malnourished or at a low weight.
DON’T- Totally ignore muscle. I had no interest in being muscular when I was younger and was afraid of becoming ‘bulky’. I wish I’d known how far muscle/toning goes in terms of looking good for your BMI. Your body will eat your muscle at the same rate or faster than it eats your fat when you’re restricting, it’s very easy to lose it if you aren’t working it out. You don’t need to do much, anything you can.
DO- Electrolytes and vitamins. They can go a long way in keeping you feeling normal and stable, I find vitamins help with my mental health and cravings like crazy.
DO- Figure out what works for you. Some people don’t do breakfast and find it spurs their appetite too much, some people need it or they’re more likely to binge. Some people like snacking small amounts a lot and some people like OMAD or IF. It’s good to do research, but all of these can work. Don’t try to force yourself to a diet or cal limit that isn’t right for you, find what’s easiest for your lifestyle and tastes to keep you comfortable (as much as you can be, lmao) and enjoying the process.
DON’T- Bounce between a hundred different diets in a few weeks. At least in my experience and seeing people’s patterns online, it’s very easy to get excited about a new diet or fad that’s trending in these spaces, and then get bored of it and miserable and try something different, and then something else… etc. before ever waiting to see big progress. I’ve seen so many people spiral because they don’t notice any weight loss doing this. Please try something you know you can manage and give your body time to adjust.
MY BIGGEST TIP? Probably every little step counts. It’s infinitely better to eat 1000 calories than 200 if you know it makes you binge. I know horrible it is to feel like you’re not progressing fast enough or you’re not doing enough, I used to be like that and it’s so painful waiting. Weight loss takes a long time. But I promise you that slow but CONSISTENT progress will end up giving you results so much faster than having a good day and a bad day the next.
That’s all for now, feel free to add more advice onto this list if you’ve also been here a while. If anyone is interested in more like this I can try.

Omfg I’m watching a video rn where two skinny people are saying that fat people should be required to buy TWO flight tickets because they can’t fit in the seats. I’m never eating again.
