Wrecker: so, this didn’t ACTUALLY happen. But let’s pretend that it did. Let’s just say that Tech was trying to get access to an encrypted comm channel, but he couldn’t because he needed to be plugged in to this one computer.

Hunter: uh huh.

Wrecker: and uh, let’s pretend that he had this really REALLY long cord. And Crosshair volunteered to crawl through the ventilation system to plug the cord into the computer.

Hunter: uh huh.

Wrecker: and let’s say that, just maybe, I sat on Tech’s comm while he was giving Crosshair directions. And Tech lost contact with him.

Hunter: right.

Wrecker: so like uh, if that WERE to happen, how would you go about finding Crosshair again?

Hunter: Wrecker, did you and Tech lose Crosshair in Kamino’s ventilation system?

Wrecker: no!! Well, uh, I mean, we didn’t LOSE him…

Hunter: *long sigh* *yanks vent covering off the wall* where did you last hear from him

The fact that they did this is so real of them. I love it so much!

I appreciate that Crosshair’s redemption arc still allows for the people he’s hurt to express their grievances and come to a conclusion about his growth on their own terms. A lot of similar arcs will either have the redeemed character die immediately after or during their moment of redemption leaving their sacrifice hanging over every possible discussion of their wrongdoings, or strong-arm the entire cast into forgiving them as soon as the main characters do. Crosshair may have been forgiven by Omega (and the audience for the most part) but he’s also done a lot of things that give characters like Hunter and Howzer valid reasons to be angry with him. He told a group of soldiers under his command to shoot at Omega specifically to get a reaction from Hunter and the Batch. Howzer’s entire squad on Ryloth was killed for questioning orders. Of course Crosshair should be shown having to earn their trust rather than simply leave his previous actions out of sight and out of mind

Obi is used to the disaster of his life. Cody not so much.

Cody still does not like tea. You could tell I put all of my efforts into Obis hands, then I gave up on Cody. 

The Bad Batch Crosshair - Modern AU (My Babies)

I think that Lyni's niece Shadow is autistic. That's one of the reasons she normally doesn't talk and just hates certain textures and tastes. Her twin Brutal on the other hand will try anything but won't eat if Shadow isn't. Lyni has a lot of stress because of this and always makes their food herself.

Crosshair's cousins don't believe that he's actually turning into a family man. That is until they hear him giving a twenty minute lecture on how Shadow likes things before producing a list of her likes and dislikes to check everything against. Now theirs a betting pool on his relationship with Lyni and the kids.

Bad Batch Crosshair - Modern AU (Purple)

Zabracks bleed purple. Iridonian Zabracks have various levels of purple due to intermarrying with other races. Dathmarian Zabracks like Lyni bleed deep plum while their blush is bright purple.

Crosshair and the batch did not know this. They found out because when some violence happened Lyni helped out the victim before coming home with a blood covered shirt. Cue mass panic.

All the while Lyni has no idea why everyone is freaking out and smacks Crosshair's hands away (he is trying to find the source of blood flow). Suddenly it clicks and she backs up confused, "This isn't my blood." As it sank in, "Zabracks bleed purple," looking at Tech specifically, "didn't you know that?"

Tech was the only one not panicking and caught Crosshair when he stumbled back surprised that Lyni had hit him. Tech was able to explain to Cross, Hunter, and Wrecker about how Zabracks have purple blood.

Cross is still upset about it and does a complete visual check after her shower to make sure she's not bleeding. (The bros check too but he's the most obvious about it. And keeps checking for the longest.)

The real question is... do I release the 800-ish word blurb I wrote with my oc and crosshair but just tailor it to be a cross x reader blurb?? (I haven't published anything in so long so y'all will have to be easy on me plz I beg)
