Its Interesting How Punk Hazard, Dressrosa, Zou And Wano All Spill Into Each Other With Actions In One
Itâs interesting how Punk Hazard, Dressrosa, Zou and Wano all spill into each other with actions in one arc directly leading to motivations and consequences in another. Like all three of those arcs are essentially set up for Wano when you look at the big picture. Theyâre all explaining how exactly it is that all these characters ended up her fighting these two menaces. And that makes sense given that Wano is kind of the biggest deal weâve ever gotten in terms of over arching storyline in One Piece and what is revealed there forever changes the story.
But yeah I just thought it was interesting because outside of Sagas like Water seven and weâve never really gotten that tipping over feeling before. But while water seven feels just like one big arc with individual pieces. All those arcs are distinct from each other and itâs only when you get to Wano and see the bigger picture can you really fit together just how we all ended up here. It also doesnât help that Wanoâs where theyâve been trying to go from the start.
Itâs also the first time they Straw hats actually have a plan to go out of their way and antagonize somebody. Like they are actively trying to antagonize Kaido before they got to Wano. Theyâve never done that before theyâve always just kind of tripped and fell into trouble trying to help a friend. Which is kind of how the kaido thing starts but it snowballs into much more than that. The closest to anything like it is Vivi and alabasta. It really helps post time skip feel distinct from pre time and really sets you up with out even knowing it to prepare for something big to go down. Itâs almost like a visceral shift from One piece as a serialized story to an a connected one.

I donât know Erwin Smith is just like;
What if your fathers love couldnât save you?
What if itâs actually doomed you from the start.
While I do so love the image of Mihawk as a blushing virgin bride bashful about all things sex and PDA. I cannot lie to myself.
This is a man that takes off his shirt to put on his jacket before heading outside. He has never known shame a day in his life.
Was watching a YouTube video about the theory that Mihawk was initially the first mate of the red hair pirates, called âThe greatest Mihawk Theory Ever Madeâ by the Hidden Island.
And itâs a great video and a pretty solid theory with fun and solid evidence. But whatâs pertinent here is that the creator suggests his own take on how Shanks and Mihawkâs story could be resolved or explored more and thatâs by having Shanks win Mihawk in a straw hat, red hair pirates, cross guild wide Davy Back fight. and hit him with a âWelcome back Hawkeyesâ

I canât tell you how unwell this scenario makes me I think about it once a day and I might die if I never get to see this but will actually die if it does happen.
Mihawk finally gives in and agrees to sail with Shanks and half his first day aboard the red force is spent learning that no actually, ships donât just sail on vibes .
And the second half is spent deciding that Mihawk shouldnât be allowed to map out routes because while their sure theyâd somehow magically get there nobody actually knows what the fuck island 30 degrees left of the rock where seagull 368 lands at 2pm every Wednesday and Saturday to fluff its feathers means.
Building Snake is following him around observing then hastily scratching down notes in a notepad. Shanks has once again denied his request to study Mihawk under a microscope
