Look, writer’s block is not some giant, mysterious monster. It’s you, in your head, holding yourself back because you’re afraid what you’re writing sucks. And here’s the truth, yeah, maybe it does suck. But you know what? That’s okay. Writing something bad is still better than writing nothing at all. You don’t wait for inspiration to strike, you show up, write the garbage draft, and then fix it later. Writing isn’t about perfection, it’s about getting it done. Even if it’s one crappy page at a time.

Cannot emphasize this enough. Even having a friend outside of the Fandom who is willing to put up with your ramblings, who doesn't judge you as "immature" or "weird" for being so insanely attached to certain worlds, characters, or pairings, is so SO important

i cannot emphasize how necessary it is to have a buddy to participate in fandom with. completely elevated experience. don't have a buddy? find someone you like and message them and be their friend. gush over every sketch and drabble and insane headcanon they have. live life to the fullest.

Honestly nobody is doing it like Trafalgar D. Water Law. He's German. He hates bread. He keeps to himself. He gravitates towards extroverts. He has a nasty reputation. He doesn't kill people during fights. His first appearance resembles Salad Fingers who smokes weed. He's weak to cute things and one of his best friends is a fluffy bear. His moniker is the Surgeon of Death because people thinks his power is creepy. He wants to become a doctor like his parents. He looks emo and edgy with his tattoos. The DEATH tattoo on his hand is the reminder he gave himself during childhood of what's at stake while treating patients, and the rest is to honor a loved one. He's stressed 24/7 like he's a workaholic. He spends all his time napping against his emotionally supportive bear and wandering to collect coins. He flips people off. He loves comics and geeks out amidst a battle. He's a smart strategist and he knows it. He has never talked down on anyone. He comes off as sadistic and dangerous. He never betrays his ally and gets bullied constantly by the crew of said ally. He wears tragedy like high fashion. At the lowest point in his life he finds out that he has always been loved and never been alone.

Both of their messages were troubling but Dapper's in particular got me very emotional. They aren't going to be online or really interacting with anyone, and just made an account to stand in solidarity with their friends and stand against the abusive conditions. The amount of bravery and integrity that takes is genuinely impressive, and I'm just sad that we will be losing the funny, mischievous, and heartwarming dynamic that his role-playing added to BBH and everyone else's lore.

So huh. No more Pomme and no more Dapper. The two admins are saying that they are leaving the project for multiple reasons.

Okay this took me WAYYY too long but I finally have a Slideshow of Hawks Propaganda!

For those too lazy/non-bnha fans though, here’s a condensed list of reasons to vote for Hawks: 

Throughout the top ten list of heroes, most of them are super moral, straight-shooting goodies who aren’t well known for their humor or shifty personalities. Hawks is like a diamond in the rough among them, as he’s often seen cracking cynical or sarcastic jokes and just mocking the whole institution of Hero society as a whole. 

He has every reason to be pessimistic and depressed, he was born the son of a thief who forced him to remain indoors and be completely repressed from society, other kids, and just general people. He was emotionally and physically abused by his parents, getting hit, kicked, and insulted “we should never have had someone as useless as you” on the daily. Yet he still grew up with an optimistic and cheerful outlook, with his main goal being to create a society where ‘heroes have too much free time on their hands.’ He thinks having a good personality and attitude is more important than a powerful quirk, because what’s most important is putting others at ease. He so clearly puts others needs above his own and, considering he was raised by two very selfish people, is just astounding. 

Even after his mother’s abuse, he still provides for her well-being, using the money he gets from working with the HPSC to get a house for her (even though she leaves it). Like my man has such a big heart and isn’t appreciated enough for it

I have been working on a fanfic specifically focusing on Hawks’ childhood training under the HPSC called “Feather-Kissed Flames,” and I will release the first chapter if we’re able to get him to win!
