As usual, Lucette ignored her Uncle’s veiled commands. And Victoria’s subtle pleas.

“Aht aht, dear uncle! It’s not just between you and our darling Victoria, now is it? It includes a lot more people than that. And don’t give me that look, Uncle, I had nothing to do with it. People were already giving me weird looks before I found out why.” Lucette said with a huff, crossing her leg over the other and smoothing down the large skirt of her dress. its honestly surprising she managed to fit on the desk with how big those dresses are.

“And it does involve and concern me, uncle, because I’m the one who has to deal with the twitters of the Court ladies. And their not so hidden questions to me about you. Besides, you’re always busy. Don’t you wanna spend some time with your lovely niece and know how she’s doing?” She asked with a grin, picking up a cogwheel that had been on his desk and fiddling with it.

“Uuuuuuunccclllleeeee!” A familiar yell rang out through the hallways, before the doors of Kane’s study were slammed open to reveal a familiar face.

“Uncle!” Lucette yelled, though there was no need to. She scurried over to where he was sitting at his desk and immediately sat on top of it, ignoring his work.

“Uncle, you will NOT believe the rumor I just heard from Victoria!”

“You came all this way to see me? Why…I’m flattered!”

This week

This week has been………an absolute shitshow for us black people. And it looks like its gonna get worse. I’ve been able to handle previous police murders but for some reason this one is hitting me hard. And I don’t know why. I don’t know if its because I’m older now and technically an adult or if because I have a more online presence but All the shit we’ve been dealing with this week has been taking a toll on me.

Its tiring

It’s exhausting

and its just depressing.
