Dragons 🐉 . . Since it’s the last day of 2020 (with fitting weather down here) I decided to end the year wholesome, starting with some fanmade Targaryen dragons! Did some fanart for Rhaella since there really doesn't seem to be much of any of her. Did this during the summer and I'm currently working on a piece that'll feature her and Joanna, so aye ;) -Stay tuned!

After about 6 months I was finally able to finish this piece of fanart! At first it was only supposed to be a Rhaella and Joanna piece, but over time I decided to add the Princess of Dorne into this fa as well. Decided to have them outside in one of the sections within the royal garden. I still plan on making more fanart of Rhaella but I'm currently working on Joanna piece which I'm aiming to post by the end of this month.

Some fanart for Rhaenyra! May make one for Alicent later since this came out better than I expected.

Oh wow, am I finally posting something after a 2-3 month hiatus? Why yes, yes I am. Now even though this is a sneak peek and not the full piece, Rhaella has always had a sweet spot in my heart when it comes down to ASOIAF characters. Still have one-two more things to touch up on this piece, but hopefully I’ll be able to post it up before the end of this month!

Here we go! I’m finally done with this sketch dump, granted it took longer than I thought it would to complete this. I’m just happy I actually finished this and didn’t end up adding it into my WIP folder. With that aside this mainly consists of fem!Lucerys (yea I fell hard, but then again when do I never fall hard for a genderbent character, especially with what could’ve been). There is some Rhaella though (yay to that, I just really love Rhaella) so that’s a plus! We also got a little Arrax so woo-hoo to that too! :D

Besides that though, I also have a little family tree of any hypothetical children Lucemond might end up having in this AU of mine.

I finally finished it, and a bit faster than I expected. This is my first Fem Harry piece and my first HP piece of fanart to boot (and it did come out better than I expected). For a while I had this urge to draw a Harry Potter x A Song of Ice and Fire crossover piece (partially due to reading A Stranger in a Strange Land by QuillQ on AO3) which I’ve finally had the chance to create with some free time recently. I fell hard for the Peverells being one of the families that once inhabited Old Valyria and somehow found their way into the Harry Potter verse, probably due to also having some insight of the doom that would come to Old Valyria trope (come on, how is it possible that Daenys was the only one to have the vision of the doom occurring). Seeing as how the Potters descend from one of the Peverells (along with the Slytherins + Gaunts, which is something I wish to cover in some other future piece, trust me on that) I gave Harry a dragon motif for her dress (there’s also another animal but I’ll just leave it up in the air for now). In this headcannon of mine I like to think Harry would be named Harriel (of course those that know her well she would go by Harry). There’s this AU (multiple for this crossover now) I’ve been attempting to flesh out, but for now I just have this. For the most part I was mainly focusing on Harriel herself, but the background was a plus with the way it came out. Hopefully I can create some additional pieces for this concept sometime soon.

Yet another addition to the ASOIAF x Harry Potter AU that I’m way too overly fond of. I tried changing things up a bit by creating this piece in Procreate for once (I usually try for Photoshop whenever I do have the urge to draw anything digitally). Although I despise the idea of only having up to 130 layers open in Procreate, the choices for brushes is way better compared to what’s available for Photoshop on the iPad. Had lots of fun messing around with the brushes for this piece which is always a plus! Anyways moving back on topic, I decided to go with more of a portrait feel for this new piece of Fem!Harry or Harriel as I like to refer to her. I decided to go with a green color scheme for this one instead of any Targaryen colors when compared to my last post (there’s also another animal in addition to the dragon motif in this new post as well). I might try my hand on a more Gryffindor look for a future piece (maybe I’ll make a stag inspired piece too if I’m able too). Anyways onwards to more fem Harry shenanigans!

I DECIDED TO MAKE THIS POST ABOUT JON SINCE I HAVE SEEN SO MANY DEBATE AMONG PEOPLE REGARDING JON SNOW, ABOUT "IS JON SNOW MORE A STARK OR A TARGARYEN?". HENCE WHY I WRITE THIS❗️

Why is Jon Snow considered/seen as a "STARK" FIRST above anything even though he doesn't/hasn't had the stark surname? Why HOUSE STARK is Jon Snow's main family and identity? Why his stark side is more dominant?

Here it is the answer❗️

Jon Snow’s Case:

Raised as a Stark: Jon Snow grew up with the Stark family. Even though he is a half targaryen and half stark by blood, everyone around him knows him as a Stark because he was raised by them.

Seen as a Stark: Because he lived with the Starks A.K.A his mother's family and was close to them, people see him as part of House Stark. His actions and relationships with the Starks make this connection strong. He leaned towards his mother's house more (Lyanna Stark)

Conclusion

Jon Snow: Even though Jon doesn’t have the Stark surname officially, people see him as a Stark because of how he was raised and his relationships with the house.

In short, Jon is seen as a Stark because of his upbringing and relationships, even without the surname.

For my final #TargaryenThursdays I saved the best for last, the girl who started this all for me. Without Dany, I wouldn’t be here! I remember buying the books in 2012, a year after the first season had come out, and not having the motivation to start such a huge series. Then whilst scrolling here on tumblr, I found a gifset of this very smol girl with pale silver hair and I was so intrigued! (I started the first two seasons of Game of Thrones after that, then devoured the books and the rest is history!) 

I started this drawing in January, and then suffered a motherboard failure, and thought I wouldn’t be able to get this back because I didn’t have the money to pay for a harddrive extraction. Then last week I taught myself how to do it on Youtube, and was able to start working on it again! I’m glad I am finally able to share this with everyone, and glad I was able to honor Daenerys in this way! 

I’m hoping my girl makes it to the very end and lives to tell the tale, but regardless of what happens I am SO grateful that GRRM created such a fantastic female lead character in a fantasy series.

Writer's Amnesia

Took a 3 week break from writing a story and have decided to add a couple of chapters. Only problem, despite extensive notes, I can't remember the deatils of my story. I'm having to re-read it from scratch (it is 200k+ words). Then I say to myself; 'I can't believe I wrote this.' Especially when I see the awful spelling and grammar (didn't use a gammar checker back then).

Oh well, I'll get a fresh look at it when I start on the next chapter. I've got notes and timelines.
