You know what seriously disappoints me in the lgbt community?
The fact that there are actual pedophiles and zoophiles who are constantly trying to enter the community and normalize their behaviors…
And yet they don’t get the same level of hate from the community as aro/aces, transgenders, pansexuals, enbies, microlabels and xenogenders get. I see way more discourse directed towards excluding inoffensive identities than excluding actual criminals.
Some of y’all really need to reevaluate your priorities.
What annoys me about debates about Hazbin Hotel and Heartstopper is how people conveniently forget to mention that the creators are lgbt when they claim they are fetichizing gay men.
I get it, fujoshis can be lgbt, but being part of the community actually adds a lot of context to their narrative decisions.
Why does Hazbin Hotel have so many lgbt characters? Maybe that’s because the creators wants to represent herself and her community, not because she finds them hot or whatever.
Why do the characters from Heartstopper seem so sexless? Maybe it’s because the creator doesn’t feel sexual attraction and her experiences reflect in the work, not because she wants to write uwu fluff perfect gays.
If you wanna argue about whether or not it’s good representation, fine, but not acknowledging the creator’s orientation feels like a really scummy tactic in these kinds of debates.
Edit: Note how both Vivzie and Alice have orientations that are very often ignored and deemed as “not queer enough” in the lgbt community (bisexual and aroace respectively).
Beware guys, stay safe.
The tags are everything I know. I am sharing this with every single one to try and spread the word.
I see a lot of people saying that the way G3 monster high characters are so accepting of differences and well welcomed makes them find this generation more relatable.
It’s funny cause to me it’s the total opposite.
Throughout my life I have been in a places that marketed themselves as “inclusive and tolerant”, just like G1’s school. While there were good inclusion programs, there was still lots of bullying and prejudice that the administrations deemed as unimportant and flat out ignored.
To me G1 feels more realistic when it comes to this aspect.
Imagine him messing with Moxxie:
Moxxie: Congratulations on the wedding sir.
Blitzø: It’s your highness now, peasant.
…
Moxxie: There are too many sir, what should we do?
Blizø: YOU MEAN YOUR ROYAL HIGHNESS, right Moxxie?
Alright Stolitzers let's do something fun!
Lets imagine, Prince Consort Blitz becoming a thing...
What are your hilarious headcanons and or theories about the hijinks that would ensue?
I'll start...
"This crown is so fucking heavy, and these clothes are so goddamn itchy- FFFFUUUCCK MEEE"
~~~
Stolas: "Darling, proper etiquette involved in drinking tea, involves raising your arm at a certain angle and sipping from the cup."
Blitz: "Manners schmanners" *holds that teacup like a fucking menace and chugs that tea like he's taking a shot*
Stolas: *face palms*
