Instability

Personality and Persona come easily to others. But not Scorpios. They are holding a persona while panicking inside, hoping they don't lose control. Contrary to my classmate girls, I always struggled with a personality and relating to others. I tip toed around personas, sometimes too much of something, sometimes too less of something. Sometimes too humble and sweet but sometimes being a bad girl and bully. It surprised me too how unstable I was. I think it is the fire signs that are the best at holding personas, they can really play a character and convince you they are that persona. While the water signs are the ones who hate Persona the most, they prefer solitude so they don't have to "become somebody" - they rather stay dissolved in the spaces around them than put the effort in becoming a person.

Fakeness

An unevolved Scorpio can get a job identifying degrees of fakeness in other people. As if they are an AI monitor that scans each person for signs of inauthenticity in each context. Who is to determine what is "authentic" though? Is there a universally accepted benchmark for the most authentic personality that each human should embody and emulate? Scorpio and Cucumbers

Evolution begins when Scorpios realize that they are triggered by everything and everyone because they are not trying to do the dirty work of self-analysis, identify the emotions, go back to the roots of their memories, practice skills to neutralize that emotion and wait until most of their triggers are neutralized. So that it does not shock them anymore to see their own void. But this way of life is not very delighting. Who wants to be dwelling in dark feelings and ruminate on past memories for years upon years? It is a painful lifestyle, it robs one off their happiness, especially in a society that encourages positivity and unconditional happiness.

Why Psychoanalyze?

It may be because of their constant transformations and perpetual turmoils. They are always unfolding and becoming. They are uncertain what the next transformation will be. Psychoanalysis, astrology, personality types help them make sense of their transformations. Because the transformations are not random, they are what the Scorpio has absorbed from their environment or their subconscious mind has picked up in a metro ride back in 2005. So, psychoanalysis gives them stability otherwise they might slip into the lands of unknowns. Imagine you have no name and everyone calls you a random name anytime, you would want to know what you are called at each passing hours because you know that your name changes all the time. For Scorpio, psychology is self identity, it is an unnecessary task to be living such an unstable life.

Black or White Perception

Scorpios either idealize someone, or even everyone, or they are cynical about everyone. They are quick to generalize because they can't imagine someone out there does not have the same intention as the person that hurt them, so they generalize their experience with 1 person on everyone - granted their life themes are also darker than average so it makes sense why they can be really cynical. When they idealize, they want unconditional love, perfection, dreamy state of nourishment, as if they want to unite with the Holy Mother, the source of all creations. The immature Scorpio sees everyone as a potential ideal person and gets betrayed. Do that long enough and he treats everyone with disdain and contempt. If they see you as a white lab, they will ignore 1000 red flags, overlook all your flaws, become cute and goofy with you, treat you like a royalty. And then you betray them - OR - your intensity drops - OR - you've been together for some years, then Scorpio will replay every memory in their head and analyze the records with you. Everything will be scrutinized. Your intentions, actions, motives and everything you say will be judged. Then the council will give its decision - you are a BLACK lab. Scorpio withdraws, isolates, undergoes cognitive dissonance, undo everything, destroy all memories with you, analyze their own insecurities and begin healing their spiritual issues. OR, jump into next relationship without any inner work and find another white lab puppy until the puppy breaks their bubble. Quite fantasizers Scorpios are! Water does give intuitive and imaginative capabilities. The mature Scorpio is NOT intense because he begins to see both bad and good in everyone, you are a mixed puppy to them, neither perfect nor flawed. Manipulative

Crocodile tears, storytelling, seeking pity - Scorpios love this pattern. They might not even know they are doing it because they are so unconscious. It is their attempt to receive instant confirmation and validation that they are seen, heard, important, relevant. This too can be fixed if they remind themselves that they are relevant even if nobody else says that. I think that Scorpios are the most complicated sign. Their group members Cancer and Pisces are similar but Scorpios are just dark and negative. They constantly dwell in fantasies of misfortune and feeling grief and sad about everything that could go wrong. One could say they are very aware of Karma and how everything that is good is a consequence of something; somehow they are afraid of their bad karma ripening and their good times over. One Scorpio placement is enough to create this perpetually disturbed person.

Maturity

For some reason, Scorpios are quite afraid of bad or wrong people. Maybe because being hurt makes them feel powerless and stupid. I recall scam victims bawling their heart out "I am so stupid I fell for that scam, why was I not alert 😭". It really breaks their self-confidence that they are not capable of decision making. Scorpios live with this fear all the time. They are anticipating your next moves and calculating their own reaction to always stay a step ahead of you. Their power drive is intense and they rather live a fantasy where everyone is subservient to them than face the reality. Also, they can be really demanding "Love me NOW!!!!" "LOVE ME TOOOOO MUCH, I said TOO MUCH". And who can love them toooo much and fill their black holes? Nobody. Eventually everyone will tire of them and Scorpio resorts to filling that void himself. Maturity and healing are a Work of Art. In Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka, Gregor Samsa turns into an insect one morning and stays in his room for months until one day he disappears. "Metamorphosis" means to transform, from one creature to the next stage. As you can see in this story, healing is never pretty. Your loved ones are disgusted at you, society mocks and ridicules you, people are amazed and even scared of you. Healing is the emotional turmoil, patience, healing, relapsing, relapsing and again relapsing until the wound stops hurting. I think this is how Scorpios heal. I dont know if Yoga, affirmations, healing courses, therapy can fix them; perhaps their psyche will rebirth itself, it is the most psychologically messy thing ever.

For this reason, Scorpio can be the emo, grunge, goth type. Not because they are faking it but because they actually feel that scared of being alive. Unless there are other lighter placements to cheer them up, Scorpios are just...the saddest person ever. They will just make things up in their head and imagine what it feels like to be born as a poor person in the state of Martian civilization with no family and education, just struggling all their life - oh, how sad! 😭 For this reason, they never really finish healing. First they heal their own traumas, then they heal the trauma of all their ancestors and finally they heal the trauma of every single person alive. As a result, they can be empathetic, healers, compassionate and understanding. This is of course only possible when planets placed in Scorpio sign are capable of giving good results and attain enlightenment; otherwise a lot of Scorpios never fix themselves. I think even Aquarius can be emo because of their humanitarian approach and helping everyone with whatever they can, combined with pisces placement they can definitely start charity foundation. I have seen Aquarius + Pisces and even 11h + 12h combination helping a lot of people with money and assistance, they don't even take it back, just giving money to help others open handedly.

Your love life feels cursed and rich at the same time. Every relationship and encounter has had a level of edge and profoundness to it, and deep down that's how you like it. You're the kind who remembers the names of your one night stands, because they had that part of you. If you and your lover haven't gone through the throws of each other's psyche, your relationship isn't there yet. Depth equals substance. Demonstrated devotion and vulnerability is what will really make you confident that people want you. You'd love for someone to look at you and think "mine". There's a part of you, no matter the sign your Venus falls in, that wants someone to own your entire being and give themselves to you in return. You sometimes expect this right off the bat in relationships and mess things up with these expectations. They're your babies, and you dare other people to mess with them. The capacity in which you love is boundless and deeper than most people. The Plutonic lessons in your life are learned through experiences with others, which is usually painful. If you chose to evolve positively, you will grow to be able to withstand anything and gain unspeakable wisdom. Your deepest desire is to belong to someone who will love you from head to toe and never leave.

Marry a Venus in 8h or Scorpio

While Scorpio and 8th House have some similarities: need for transformation, interest in deep and dark matters, intensity of emotions; they are still different as in 8th house deals with other people's money, a secretive life, lots of secrets, dealing with partnership, death and rebirth.

What is seen with these natives, especially ladies, is that their relationship or marriage is never "stable". You see how ladies like to flaunt their husbands, post pictures and how much they love their partner to social media and be in public eye? But these natives are the kind to hide their relationship. As if it is not true love if it needs public approval. Their life theme is usually that their childhood and relationship history are such that it is twisted, confusing, as if they were sleepwalking through a relationship and never really there. For this reason, when the relationship finally breaks down, they begin to realize how it was all just a delusion! Here, a relationship or situationship is the catalyst to bring all childhood memories to the surface and healing is a prerequisite to a better improved relationship. But all this is not easy! When they awaken from the state of "sleepiness" then their reality is shifted! Oh, I missed that red flag! Oh-he was keeping secrets from me! Oh, that was manipulation tactic! "Healing" for them means to work on their Self Concept, that is, identity, confidence, self respect, boundaries, getting rid of emotional brain fog, learning what a relationship is supposed to look like, learning individuation.

8th house Venus is natural shadow worker. She intuitively knows the traits, flaws, faults, motivations, darkness and morbidity in other people. But her tendency is to integrate those dark parts in herself which is why 8H dissolves the boundary between right and wrong, bad and good, moral and immoral. To understand herself, she understands other humans. Not just the light and positive parts but the psychopathic, criminal, morbid, terrifying, scary human psychology. It is like food to her soul, to know the suffering and pain in the world. A sadist or a spiritually awakened being?

Since cognitive dissonance is a big thing for her, her no 1 priority in relationship is someone whom she can trust. Someone who will maintain her reality, will be honest, give her emotional security and keep her mentally stable. A dishonest or deceptive lover is her nightmare because the chaos of "figuring out my boyfriend" will drain her. She needs someone who is transparent and self aware so that her emotions are stablized and fears under control.

Husband

Like attracts like. Boyfriend/husband himself is mirror to these ladies. He is also suspicious, cynical, peeling layers of emotions, craving depth, has unstable self concept unless he is actively working on it, jealousy and possessive are not cute things, they are symptoms of weak Self concept. Since both parties are similar in nature, they understand each other. But not every marriage is that fulfilling! Sometimes partners are really incompatible or the awakening never happens, 8th house never activates. So, just 8th placement is not enough but the timing and dasha will determine how spiritual, healer, psychic they are.

If Venus is in 8th house, this marriage is life changing. Transformative. Significant status difference between maiden life and married life. "Woah! She married that gentleman! He is so rich." Like in Pride and Prejudice, Elizabeth Bennett marries Mr. Darcy who is high class, wealthy and royalty type. There is something luxurious, old money, typical about this marriage. A typical politically connected or socially prestigious family. Sometimes people say 8th house is Karmic, fated, to let go control, money owed to them. I wonder if it is their husband who is paying back her debts to her? Is that why marriage transforms her life? Is marriage a karmic contract to pay back her loan given to husband? Perhaps it is.

Forced to Inner World

At some point in her life, she realized that her life was not quite same as others. She got aware of "psyche" something which has no evidence and is not scientific or physically seen. But for these natives, they are intuitively aware of psyche and how it surrounds us everywhere. In Man and His Symbols, Dr. Carl Jung says how the primitive people were so unconscious that they simply acted on their impulses and the images they saw in their head. They even thought that the animals and trees were their soul/spirit and were deeply submerged in the unconscious. 8th house is like that state of unconsciousness and then you come to awareness with a shock and again go back to unconsciousness. We are living in a flow state and only when something crisis, emergency or catastrophic happens that we awaken and soon go back to the flow state. That "awakening" is the hallmark of this house.

Another thing to be seen here is that these natives are forced to live in the inner world. They do not choose spirituality but have no choice - are forced to choose it. Since their emotions and conscience are quite sharp, they "feel" their way through life. (Trigger warning death) Let's say you killed your parents' dog accidentally and hid it in their own backyard and then lied about it to your parents when they asked where dog is. As the days go by, you feel that regret growing larger and larger. It creeps on you, eats you from inside, feels heavy in your body. That "I did something wrong" feeling never goes away. Imagine living with that feeling 24x7, that is your conscience.

For these natives, their conscience is just hyperactive. It is their guide through life. If they dismiss their conscience, they are faced with external consequences in physical life. There is a saying "As above, so below" which fits to these natives, which means that the inner life and outer life are just the reflection of each other. I have seen how native if lives absent mindedly, without thinking of their actions, they always face instant karma in physical life or the psychic life. In psychic world, they feel guilt, unexplainable regret, negative emotions, shame, depression, etc. If they ignore these symptoms for too long, it will all explode with a blast BUT the healing will finally begin. For the sake of your mental stability, keep doing self reflection and avoid unnecessarily events and suffering.

It takes some time and understanding to realize what Self awareness means. The society we live in, cultural and social behaviours are contrary to self awareness. We live in an extraverted, materialistic, narcissistic society; you have to just be opposite of that -- introverted, spiritual and empathetic. These natives are not born healers, they are wounded healers. They may even feel external locus of control and surrender to psychic forces because their life is just so stormy.

My only advice is: To keep your eyes open! Just because your friends or some celebrities can indulge in behaviours and get away with it, it does not mean that you can too. Instant Karma is something that happens in 8th housers life a lot. Once you identify it, you can then change your behaviour and language to avoid these suffering.

Scorpio is known for sex but I think it is the earth signs that are actually sensual. Earth signs such as Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn deal with senses and are the most stimulated by touch, visuals, taste, voice, beauty, pleasures of the senses. They are not intuitive but rather sensual, materialistic and interact with what is tangible, seen, physical. While Scorpio is intuitive and deals with intangible, unseen and spiritual.

Then why is Scorpio linked to sex? It is not about sexual pleasure and more about craving rebirth. Fact with Scorpios is that they discover a layer of themselves everyday going through life. Their identity, personality, beliefs need evolving and they need to die to be reborn. That intense sex is them tuning to their intuition and when they orgasm something in them dies. Since it is intuitive, each Scorpio will know what has died but it is not possible to tell it in words because it is a symbolic death. Sex to them is like a ritual, a sacred practice that assists them in passing from one stage to the next.

The force of 8th house is against will power. At best I read on a social media forum it being described like "Plutonic force is like your head being shaved against your will power, no matter how much you resist, it will happen".

Rahu can be such a fake, illusion maker and a mirage. Wherever it is placed in the natal chart can show what area of life is shown as the "ideal, picture perfect, larger than life, wow factor" but it is actually just empty behind the screen. If Rahu is in 1st house, native appears to be this dashing, grand, all-rounder person but actually nobody knows if they are actually that person or not, nobody seen them doing what they claim to do, it is just the image. If Rahu is in 10th house, they have this mirage illusion of being hard working, leader, planner, entrepreneur but they are not actually all that. If Rahu is in 7th house, they have this image of ideal partner, picture perfect couple, dream partner but actually it is just a mirage. It is the social perception that is ideal/mirage but in private something entirely different happens. For eg, they gift 100 roses to their loved one in office. Wow! How lucky, how romantic. Yet at home, they are like the partner does not even exist, totally different.

8th house moons can be hypersensitive to their mom's voice. It is as if they grow up and suddenly they are super reactive to their mom. If she says anything, 8H moon screams. "Be quiet!", "Change your tone of voice", they complain their mom irritates them which can be actually repressed memories of childhood being triggered every time mom says something. In the worst cases, they can even abuse their moms which is called "reactive abuse" where the party can no longer tolerate the abuser and explodes in anger.

Fire sign risings surely give the PERCEPTION of confidence, self assurance, burning hot even if they are extremely insecure inside, it would not appear in their persona. It is the rising sign that is how others see us and how we show ourselves to others, it is autonomous, spontaneous and unchangeable for this lifetime. Fire signs can be going through failures but not show in their faces.

Planets in 1st house emit the energy of themselves. But beware! 1st house is just the persona and your impression on others - not the actual person behind the mask. So Sun in 1st house = public perception is they are so confident and self secure. Mercury = they are so intelligent and cheerful. Jupiter = they are so wise and guide. Even if native is not these things, people are somehow convinced that they are those qualities just because of their facial expressions + language + vibes.

It is very important for 8th housers to be discerning in choosing their company/partner/friends. 8th housers are prone to feeling negative emotional hurts because they have survived extreme emotional situations in childhood, the side effects of which will last a lifetime. Yes if you have moon and Saturn in 8th house and Scorpio venus, you should be able to relate to my posts. If you have not felt a connection already then perhaps you might in future. My posts on these placements are inspired by my experience especially after spiritual awakening and figuring out life, so that is a particular context around transformation and spirituality. It depends on what age and stage of life you are at, which mahadasha and antardasha you have run or are running.

8th house is both the house of Trauma and Enlightenment

Ironically, it is the toxic, unhealthy, dramatic, abusive, extreme, painful memories of past that give the most enlightenment

Eventually you are reborn. Now what? "Healthy relationship" or marketing gimmicks of media, the idea of lifestyles and relationship sold to you, is that really rewarding? Will it really fulfill your emotional needs? Will it really enlighten you?

It seems to self deception to think that happiness, success, pleasure are the purpose of life, but it is the struggle, unhappiness and constant striving towards something - the eternal dissatisfaction and the pain of losses (Saturn's gifts) - that gives the most enlightenment

If Buddha attained enlightenment by meditating under a tree, 8th housers attain enlightenment by dissolving into the nothingness between this world and that world
