(this is solely my opinion based on how the characters either react to the concept of rp in the comic or how well or horribly the characters would cooperate in an rp,)

Also me: *almost makes double pirate au for one piece in passing while trying to pick a fandom*

I think one of the best parts of Homestuck is being able to write interactions between characters who didn't interact in canon and being able to go "seems about right" with little argument in aus as long as it isn't ooc

Like my favorite fics to reread are Dirk and Vriska are besties and fics where Dirk and Karkat are besties

I feel like if Dirk Strider went to regular highschool he'd be the kind of guy who looks normal but under his hoodie he has a rainbow dash tee and he hangs out with basically every clique except the like bullies

Like obviously he'd have family in a couple clique as an in for some of them but for others he's just there for his genuine interest and gains friends (example: robotics club and anime club) or he ends up friends with someone through asking them the randomest shit and somehow gaining a friend after a while of doing so

Mans probably doesn't even realize how many people consider him a friend until he's going through it and now like most of the school is contacting him checking in

I love when people compliment me being weird because internally it's just "hahahaha thanks, my personality is an amalgamation of quirks from weird little characters I love and relate to making me a concoction of awkward, seemingly random and silly, and a little gremlin you can befriend with trinkets and meeting my weirdness with fun little things my brain assume is a game like repeating the sound I make for no reason with no thought behind it"

And externally I just smile and sometimes giggle
