Toshari Lodge is situated only 25 km from one of Namibia’s major attractions, the Etosha National Park, and right next to the main road between the town of Outjo and Okaukuejo. Nestled on an outcrop of dolomite rocks and under a forest of Mopane and White Seringa trees, you will find the ideal homely atmosphere to relax in tranquility. Hosts also welcome campers to our camping site, each campsite has its own ablution, fire place and electricity point. The sparkling pool will refresh you after a long day on the road. Hosts offer game drives to the Etosha National Park on request.

Eingebettet auf einem Felsrücken aus Dolomitgestein und unter einem Wald aus Mopane- und weißen Seringa-Bäumen finden Gäste die ideale gemütliche Atmosphäre, um sich in Ruhe zu entspannen. The Etosha National Park (from 1958) is located 435 km (Okaukuejo Camp) or 530 km (Namutoni Camp) north of Windhoek. The park can be entered through either Von Lindequist Gate (Namutoni), Andersson Gate (Okaukuejo), Galton Gate (West), or King Nehale Gate (North). It is one of the Africa’s largest parks covering area of 22 270 square kilometres. The Etosha pan’s size is 4 590 square kilometres, while all pans cover more than 5 100 square kilometres. The word “etosha” means place of dry water or, according to other sources, huge, white area. The park was originally proclaimed by German governor Friedrich von Lindequist in 1907.

One of the most beautiful botanical gardens in the world: The "Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden", a little to the side below Table Mountain, offers an impressive and very extensive insight into the fantastic diversity of South African flora, on an area of ​​more than 600 hectares at altitudes of 100 m to over 1000 m. The number of native plant species to be discovered is estimated at 7,000. Among the typical fynbos vegetation is South Africa's national plant, the protea.

Matimba has 4 rooms that go according to the size of the animal; Elephant, Rhino, Lion and Leopard. Each is beautifully furnished with traditional African furniture made from orange trees. They all have large en-suite bathrooms and the Elephant room has both an indoor and outdoor shower plus a bath. Each room has a king size extra length bed, mosquito nets, hair dryer and bathrobes, air conditioning, hairdryer, bathrobes and a safe.
