Chapman's Peak is the name of a mountain on the western side of the Cape Peninsula, between Hout Bay and Noordhoek in Cape Town, South Africa. The western flank of the mountain falls sharply for hundreds of metres into the Atlantic Ocean, and a spectacular road, known as Chapman's Peak Drive, hugs the near-vertical face of the mountain, linking Hout Bay to Noordhoek. Tourists and locals alike often stop at viewpoints along this road, which offer spectacular views of Hout Bay, The Sentinel Peak and surrounds, as well as over the pristine kilometres of sand at Noordhoek Beach. One of the most popular attractions of Cape Town, Diaz Beach is located at Cape Point in Western Cape. It is a secluded, magnificent and deserted, despite of close proximity to large car park, pristine beach. The best time to get there is when Table Mountain Park's gate open at 07:00 so that you will have the beach for yourself for at least an hour before more tourists get in. White sands, rocky sandstone cliffs and pinnacles, and blue waters make it a perfect spot for that sunset walk with your significant other.

East Fort Battery c.1782 is one of four coastal fortifications built and developed in Hout Bay during the period 1781–1806. Hout Bay was seen by the government of the day as the soft-underbelly of Cape Town, exposing it to a possible marine invasion from the South. It was preceded by West Fort, on the western side of the Bay which was established by the Dutch East India Company (DEIC) in 1781 and completed by the French Pondicherry Regiment based in the French Enclave City of the same name approx.50 miles south of Madras.

Muizenberg was apparently named after Wynand Willem Muijs who commanded a small outpost in the area in 1743. The Battle of Muizenberg was a small but significant military affair that began on 7 August 1795 and ended three months later with the first British occupation of the Cape. Thus began the period, briefly interrupted from 1803 to 1806, of British control of the Cape, and subsequently much of Southern Africa. The historical remnant of the Battle of Muizenberg is a site on the hillside overlooking False Bay that holds the remains of a defensive fort started by the Dutch in 1795 and expanded by the British from 1796 onwards. Cannons from that era are mounted at "Het Posthuys", the Muizenberg Park and on the railway station platform. The railway from Cape Town, which for twenty years stopped at Wynberg, was extended to Muizenberg in 1882. Muizenberg started as a place for holiday homes for the rich after the discovery of gold in the Witwatersrand in 1886. Muizenberg Municipality was established in 1895. It merged with Kalk Bay in 1897. In 1910 a library opened next to the Natale Labia, and a year later a post office opened. In 1911 the first pavilion, a wooden one, was built.

Llandudno is a suburb of Cape Town in Western Cape Province in South Africa. It is located only 18 km from the centre of Cape Town and approached by one of the most scenic drives, over Suikerbossie Hill from Hout Bay or in the other direction from Camps Bay, along Victoria Road, Llandudno lies nestled in a private and peaceful cove with one of the most secluded and beautiful beaches in the city. The Twelve Apostles stretch off to one side, whilst Little Lion’s Head and the Karbonkelberg Mountain sweep off in the other direction. The beautiful beach, renowned for its white sands, crisp blue waters and giant boulders is arguably one of the most photogenic in Cape Town.

Hout Bay (Afrikaans: Houtbaai or "Wood Bay") is a seaside suburb of Cape Town in the Western Cape province of South Africa. It is situated in a valley on the Atlantic seaboard of the Cape Peninsula, twenty kilometres south of the Central Business District. The name "Hout Bay" can refer to the suburb, the bay on which it is situated or the entire valley. The area was originally made up of two farms, which were slowly subdivided to make way for urban expansion.
