A girl's life goes from good to worse in a matter of months. Life is really strange,
In moments, all your conditions go from good to worse than bad. I think that what I regret most is that I did not photograph every corner of my house, I did not photograph every detail in the house, I did not photograph every joy we lived in this house. I was under the illusion that there was no need to photograph it because it would remain and nothing would happen to it. All we imagined was our life in it until death. It never occurred to us for a moment that it might disappear and become a pile of rubble. These are some of the pictures I took in my house and my family’s beautiful house.
This is all that remains of our house, and they are memories, some of which are beautiful and some of which are sad, but they are just memories. After living in this house for 25 years, I grew up and was raised in this house and lived in it every moment of my life. I was happy when I got married and when my family was in the most beautiful pictures of love and friendship, and I was sad when I left my parents’ house for my husband’s house. The house lived in my heart, but unfortunately, in this war, nothing remained of it and they demolished it in an instant and presented my husband’s and my house as if there was nothing here. They erased my house and my parents’ house and all the beautiful memories in it and it became just rubble on the ground. We go to it every now and then because even though it is rubble, I am still attached to it.
Then comes a strange feeling after this. You are in your city (Khan Yunis) and you cannot return to your home. You cannot return to your place because you cannot live inside the rubble. We settled in the summer in a small, exhausting tent that you cannot enter except to sleep. It was not originally ours. Our friends gave us this place to sit in temporarily after they saw that we did not have a place and that we had unfortunately become like homeless people.
We always thank God that there is something surrounding me and my family, even if it is a tent, from a beautiful and spacious house to a small tent that can barely accommodate us. The war did not only destroy our homes and dreams, but it also destroyed our youth. When I look at my old photos on my phone, I cry for myself, my family, my people, and everything we have achieved here.
These are some old photos that I love and that are really me away from the war, the sun, carrying water and living in tents. I put more than one photo because I miss myself before the war and I love these photos very much and I wanted to share them with you. Because of the tent life, most of the time all that surrounds you is the sun and because of the lack of water, I go to a far place to carry water here under the sun, so my face and body become like someone who is 60 years old and not a young woman in her twenties.

But our house was destroyed and our whole life was destroyed. My toys were broken, my room and my bed were destroyed. And the kindergarten that I used to go to was destroyed and turned into ashes.
We left our house and went to live in the tent that my father had brought us. The tent was very disgusting. It had ants, cockroaches, and insects. We started getting sick and coughing every day. The sound of the missiles from above the tent was very terrifying and scared me and my brother Taim a lot.
My mother cries every day because she does not know how to make us food, because there is no food at all, and because there are no sanitary supplies for my brother Taim when he defecates.. and she is very afraid of the sound of the Jewish missiles and says that we will all die in the tent.
I want to ask you.. I want you to help me, my father, my mother, and my brother Taim.. We want to leave the Gaza Strip so that we can continue our lives.. so that I can return to the kindergarten that I left.. and so that my future and the future of my brother Taim are not lost. But today, we face the most dangerous and fierce battle in the current war. Here is our story - On October 7th, our lives changed forever, my family and I evacuated from northern Gaza to southern Gaza, hoping to return soon, but it wasn't meant to be. The night before we left from the north to the south was terrifying. Shelling sounds were everywhere, making a loud noise that felt like it went through our souls. Every explosions shook the ground like earthquakes, sending shockwaves of fear through our trembling bodies. filling us with fear.
The air smelled of destruction and blood, making it hard to breathe. When dawn came, we saw the devastation around us, realizing our home was now a symbol of loss and despair.
Our house was precious to us. It meant a lot to me. It was completely gone, along with all the neighbors' houses in Tal al-Hawa
I - Amal - is a computer engineer. I graduated from Al-Azhar University in July 2023. I used to work in a private technology company in the Gaza Strip, and with external companies as a freelancer at Ux-Ui, but with the start of the war, I lost my job since the planes bombed the company’s location. I also lost My job as a freelancer at Ux-Ui Because there is no internet connection here in Gaza, I was always striving to complete my master's but with these circumstances I cannot do anything after all the universities were destroyed by the Israeli occupation.

In addition to his management role, Khaled worked as an English translator, leading a busy life filled with activity and interaction with others. As the conflict intensified and the bombings escalated, Khaled’s home was completely destroyed. Now, Khaled lives in northern Gaza, where conditions worsen every day. They are struggling with severe hunger, with no access to the basic necessities of daily life—no food, no clothing, and no safe place to stay.
In the face of this tragedy, Khaled decided to start a campaign asking for help. He isn’t just asking for himself, but for all those who suffer like him. - Rana Jamal Shamia and her husband Mohammed Salama have two children, Amir Salama and Taim Salama. Reem Jamal Shamia is residing outside Gaza and has not seen her family for some time.
- Maram Jamal Shamia and her husband Mareed Al-Suwirki are now outside Gaza. They were evacuated along with their children and husband from Gaza. Maram's family has suffered greatly during their time in Gaza, and their home was destroyed. They lost many of their belongings. Her husband is a dentist and also lost his job.
-Ahmad Jamal Shamia resides in Gaza and is a third-year student in dental school. He lost his education due to the devastating war in Gaza. He was studying at Al-Azhar University in Gaza, and his home was destroyed in the war. He is currently suffering from moving from one temporary shelter to another. Ahmad was a diligent, ambitious, and creative student who ranked first in his class. He didn't limit himself to what he learned in university.
He attended courses and workshops online with Egyptian doctors to learn more and excel in his field. He always sought excellence and worked hard for it, and he loved helping all students.
He now needs money to continue his education, which will cost him a lot of money since he will complete his studies in Egypt.
Mohammad Jamal Shamia, currently residing in Sweden, am orchestrating a fundraising effort aimed at providing assistance to my immediate family and siblings. The funds collected will be allocated towards facilitating their departure from Gaza, with coordination managed through Hala Travel Agency, and remittance to Egypt via established channels. The required contribution stands at $5000 per adult, with a reduced amount of $2500 designated for children.
My family is living in extreme danger due to the brutal bombing of their city. There are daily explosions and attacks. The city is no longer safe for them. My family has been unable to work for five months due to the war, and they are living on minimal food and water while constantly suffering from fear and shock from the attacks around them. Many in the family have medical needs, and their lives are at risk every moment.
Prices have risen in Gaza, and they struggle daily to meet their basic needs.
The family is requesting help to cross the border into Egypt so they can begin rebuilding their lives. Time is of the essence! Help us transport them across the border to Egypt so we know they are safe from the increasing and indiscriminate attacks.
There will be a high financial cost, as mentioned earlier, for one person it is $5,000 and $2,500 for children, to enter Egyptian territory. I hope we can work together to help my family leave Gaza. My name is Eman, and I am a mother of three young children. Until recently, we had a home, a life, and a sense of stability in Gaza. I ran a small office, worked hard to provide for my family, and like any mother, I dreamed of a better future for my children.
But everything changed in an instant. The war in Gaza destroyed our home, my office, and my livelihood. In a matter of moments, our lives were turned upside down, and we were forced to flee, leaving behind the only life we knew.
Now, my children and I are refugees in a new city, trying to find a way to rebuild from nothing. We have lost not just our home and possessions but also our sense of security and hope. My children ask me daily when we can go home, but I have no answer for them. The war has taken everything from us.

Since the onset of the latest war in Gaza, our home has been completely destroyed, forcing us into displacement. We’ve had to move more than thirteen times in search of safety. During this harrowing journey, we faced severe hunger and malnutrition that nearly took my life and the lives of my children. Additionally, we were exposed to numerous contagious diseases and dangerous epidemics.
Before: This is our home, our dream, and our promising future.
My children have to travel long distances just to get water and stand in line for hours to get food. Their mental health has been shattered by the war, their education has come to a halt, and they have suffered from catastrophic hunger that almost claimed their lives.
After: This is our home, built with our sweat and effort, and it has been completely destroyed.

This is my aunt Rifqa, my younger brother Ahmed, in his last year of school before university. My aunt's house was next door to ours, and she had been single for years. She was not married, and since we are a small family, I have no uncles, because my father was single. It was always my duty to check on my aunt and provide her with everything from food, drink, medicine, and everything else. Before I went to university every day, I always liked to go there to have breakfast together, chat and get her approval before I went to my studies.
