Just a quick tip to artists

If you’re an artist who likes to work really close, (like me), do yourself a favor and put up two views. You can do this by clicking View–> New on your toolbar.
There’s nothing worse than finally zooming out and realizing what you were doing was very wrong. This saved me a lot of grief tbh. I’m sure everyone knows this already but ._.;; I arrived quite late to that party.
not gonna lie if you are like me and suck at coming up with poses using vintage sewing patterns for inspirations is so helpful for interesting poses that still display the character in a seeable way here are some examples of my favorites

because they are literally drawn in a way to show off their outfit but still be interesting and not boring
Do you have any tips for aspiring artists? :0
just draw a lot and draw the things you love. make sure you enjoy drawing, art is not something that should stress you or make you feel like you’re not good enough. try to learn from other artists as much as you can, but don’t compare yourself to them. In every art piece that you like, try to find what it is that you like about it, and what you can learn from it. ♥ and don’t give up if you feel like your art is being ignored, getting people to see your work takes a lot of time. make the art that only you can make! and good luck!
Hi, I hope this is alright to ask but I've been having such a hard time with coloring digitally, and I was wondering if you had any tips for coloring skin? Every time I try, my work ends up unfinished and very overdramatic looking. While your art is much more beautiful- even in its simplistic look it has a polished and completed feel to it. Are there any exercises or simple tricks that you would recommend to a beginning digital artist? Thank you for taking the time to read this!
my skin coloring is very very minimal, as well as my coloring in general. Instead of shading in a very detailed manner, I use colorful line art in order to give a bit of depth to my characters. my tips is exploring - just play with your graphic program, try new things and new tools. these programs may seem intimidating because there are so many options and tools, but just try to experience them one by one. you will surely find out interesting effects and techniques! my second tip is try to learn from other artists. look at their work and try to learn as much as you can from their style, then try these things yourself! in the process, you will make the technique your own. just have fun with it! it may seem like there’s a “right” way to do things, but there really isn’t. good luck! ♥
