What effects did you use on the A2

Gradient, those dots thingies (it’s one of Photoshop filters), chromatic aberration, noise. That’s basically all.

just so yall know

art block is your brain telling you to do studies.

draw a still life. practice some poses. sketch some naked people. do a color study. try out a different technique on a basic shape.

art block doesnt stop you from drawing, it stops you from making your drawings look the way you want them to. and thats because you need to push your skills to the next level so you can preform at that standard

think of it as level grinding for your next work.

what are your brush settings for clip studio?

here ya go:

What Are Your Brush Settings For Clip Studio?

(i hope you can even read all the settings ahh if not i can upload a better picture)

1. default “darker pencil” brush that i use for sketching and lining

2. & 3. is from here: https://gumroad.com/l/NBlG# (it’s the josuke’s eyebrows), i use this for painting. The first one should be default settings i believe, and the second is a modified version that’s better for blending colors! also i just realized that i changed the pressure settings on that one soo here are both

What Are Your Brush Settings For Clip Studio?

4. This is the default oil paint but quite heavily modified i think so it’s really good for painting

and i forgot to include the G-pen that i use for coloring but that’s just the default settings!

HEY ARTISTS!

Do you design a lot of characters living in not-modern eras and you’re tired of combing through google for the perfect outfit references? Well I got good news for you kiddo, this website has you covered! Originally @modmad made a post about it, but her link stopped working and I managed to fix it, so here’s a new post. Basically, this is a costume rental website for plays and stage shows and what not, they have outfits for several different decades from medieval to the 1980s. LOOK AT THIS SELECTION:

HEY ARTISTS!

OPEN ANY CATEGORY AND OH LORDY–

HEY ARTISTS!

There’s a lot of really specific stuff in here, I design a lot of 1930s characters for my ask blog and with more chapters on the way for the game it belongs to I’m gonna be designing more, and this website is going to be an invaluable reference. I hope this can be useful to my other fellow artists as well! :)

Tuesday Tips - Watch Your Mouth (new tip, which will be included in 100 Tuesday Tips Volume 2, available next year. The first volume is finally back in stock in our Etsy shop.) Even without language, we communicate a lot with the shape of our mouth (lips, mouth corners, teeth, …) Like all facial features, its complexities can be simplified, but a good understanding of it all is a must! -Norm #100tuesdaytips #100tuesdaytipsgrizandnormbook #watchyourmouth #grizandnorm #arttips #arttutorial #disneyartist

ive never really made a tutorial before but i thought i’d try!

all my portrait paintings are done on a 2000-3000 pixel canvas with 300 dpi using the two brushes shown above with varying opacity

(note: a flat steak brush texture can be found in many basic deviantart paint tool sai brush downloads! don’t worry if it’s not the exact one im using, i have several from different sources and they all generally do the same thing with the right settings)
