Howl Has Such Overdramatic Dumbass Energy. I Mean, Hes The Type Of Guy Who Can Say Completely Reasonable

Howl has such overdramatic dumbass energy. I mean, he’s the type of guy who can say completely reasonable things but then slimes his house and says things like “HORROR! DESPAIR! ANGUISH!” as if it’s no big deal.

Honestly, I’m surprised Calcifer doesn’t drag him more for it, but then again, Howl probably says everything with such conviction that it’s hard to argue.

I also like the theory that Chu-Chu is a representation of Anthy’s feelings. He shows the dislike and hesitation Anthy has towards certain people and is also more outwardly emotive in general. Utena is the only one who treats Chu-Chu well, thus being the only person to consider Anthy’s feelings.

Something I realized today, if Chu-Chu is Ikuhara's self-insert:

- that one dance scene where Chu-Chu is the one playing the music

- the fact that Chu-Chu is what brought Utena and Anthy together

If it really is his self-insert, it really was just a way to tell us he ships them.

Just rewatched RGU episode 3 - I didn’t pay much attention the first time when Anthy mentioned that she dislikes large crowds, but after knowing her experience with another crowd before, oh boy...

Dream screen-writing job, no lie

I want so much to have a movie or mini series adaptation of howl's moving castle that's more accurate to the book. The ghibli movie was really cute and beautifully animated and I'm grateful cause it introduced me to the Castle series but it missed out a lot of what made the book so charming.

There's so many adaptations of the same things this has to be possible somehow

People that ignore Matthias Helvar’s character development and claim his relationship with Nina is toxic are probably the same people that will ship Zuko with Katara or Sokka.

Every time I watch M*A*S*H I feel inspired to write the snappiest dialogue - the writing in this show is just so damn sharp!
