The sun was setting over the Faerie Court, casting a warm golden glow over the lush gardens. You walked hand-in-hand with Cardan, the faerie prince whose mischievous grin had stolen your heart. He smiled, a rare, genuine smile that made your heart skip a beat. "I thought we could use a quiet evening together, away from the chaos of the court. Just you and me."

The late afternoon sun cast a warm, golden glow over the cityscape as you stood on the balcony, the cool breeze doing little to calm your racing thoughts. It had been a week since the argument with Christian, a week of silence that felt like an eternity. You wondered if the rift between you was too wide to mend, if the words spoken in anger had irreparably damaged your bond.

The sound of footsteps approaching broke your reverie. Turning, you saw Christian standing at the threshold of the balcony, his usually confident demeanor now tinged with uncertainty. His brown eyes, once filled with mischief and charm, now held a look of deep regret.

"Can we talk?" he asked softly, his voice barely above a whisper.
