What is "Open 'Til Midnight" about? And can you give any spoilers?

"Open 'till Midnight" is set on our beloved (🤮) season 8, more like a "what if Jackie stopped coming around" scenario...

in OTM, Jackie is about to be homeless and has no friends, no family, no money, and no boyfriend. she has to get a job. but, as we know, PP is a small town, and the only job offer she can find is on the record store across from Grooves, the Empire Records.

I had this idea the first time I watched Empire Records (1995), and I was obsessed with it for months, and also I love the idea of Jackie applying all of her rage and hatred on his business.

idk, it might be just me, but I always thought she was one of those people who were like they were born with a business/marketing degree.

He had Sam, but she didn’t matter. He had Kelso, but it’s been so long since he didn’t matter anymore. He had Fez, but what difference did he make? He had Donna… or maybe he didn’t. It was hard to tell. He lost Forman. He lost Red and Kitty. He knew that. They no longer held any respect for him. And she wasn’t supposed to matter so much because she was no longer there for him.

I'm not mad that Jackie and Hyde didn't end up together. I'm mad they wasted all of her character development. She recieved the most development out of all the other characters. And just like the writers in season 8, the writers in that's 90s show have decided to erase that and pretend none of it happened.

Getting back together with your high school ex boyfriend who cheated on you is loser behavior and Jackie Burkhart is not a loser.
