Hey look, I finally posted some art here (ignore my chicken scratch at the bottom)! Not that accomplished of a digital artist, but I got an ask answered and wanted to draw Tezcatlipoca in his jaguar form with his chocolate caramel ice cream

This piece is dedicated to @mythos-soup! She’s the one that came up with Tezca’s fav ice cream flavor. Seriously, all of you guys go check her blog out, her mythology stuff is amazing and she’s one of my favorite blogs.

As for why chocolate caramel is Tezcatlipoca’s favorite flavor, I came up with some stuff, which I’m dedicating the rest of this post to. So if you don’t want to see that...idk, skip the rest of this post ig

Anyway, Tezcatlipoca definitely likes chocolate even during the Aztec times when they first made it, when it wasn’t sweet (at all. They put chili in their hot cocoa, guys). So he would like dark chocolate because the bitterness is more familiar and perhaps nostalgic to him. He would use caramel for that hit of sweetness because you already know this guy’s getting like 90% cacao in his chocolate. He would prefer his chocolate to be more on the bitter side, but would also like the sweetness of caramel, so the flavor chocolate caramel suits him.
